Well, when we woke up it was Brendan's Birthday! We got ready and headed down to the Gingerbread house. After we sat down with our food, an Angel came by with a birthday waffle
It made Brendan's day to recieve the special treat!
After we ate, we walked over to Keaton's Korral and let the kids ride the horses. Now, as we walked up to the area, I saw some animals of in the distance, and I thought they were sheep. Well, as we got closer EVERYONE old me that they were donkeys. My parents and siblings never let me let that down the entire trip. Well, jeez... Even Sunny laughed about it for awhile...
Anywayz, The kids rode the horses and I took pictures...
Afterwards, the kids wanted to play at the park while the groen-ups got ready for Animal Kingdom. That was a great photo-opp moment
After the adults loaded the van, we headed out to our FIRST park, Animal Kingdom. Everyone was stoked to finally go to Disneyworld. This is what we saw as we turned down the rode
We got out of the car and eaded towards the entrance. After getting through the ticket station, we saw our first characters, Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear
Now, Can someone please tell me where they are from? I know who they are from all of the great TR before me, but I didn't grow up watching them so I have no clue....
The very first thing Sunny wanted to do was find Mickey and his friends. So I checked our handy-dandy map and pointed out the way. We reached the Character section and Sunny just about jumped out of her stroller! She spotted "Santa Goofy" way before any of us did. LOL So that's who we saw first.
I bet your wondering why we didn't get all of the kids in this pic... okay well, traveling with 4 children, 2 teens, and 2 adults is NOT easy. There is fovever a fight, tanturm, lost child, or announces with that many people. I believe this is one of those times and that's why no one wanted a picture. LOL. It's actually really funny now because with each character we meet there are less and less kids in the picture. Once we finally got to meet Mickey, NONE of the kids wanted to take a picture so this is what we got
Isn't that great!? A picture of Mickey just signing autographs... lol
Now, before I continue, I'm going to say that this was my least favorite park. Animal Kingdom was surprisingly crowded, more crowded then my liking. And all of the greenery and benches made it worse. I get overwhelmed when there are big crowds and I sometimes get dizzy. Well, after feeling this way for about a half an hour, I told my parents that we needed to go on Safari (since I heard that it wasn't crowded). So thats what we did next. It was very relaxing and one of the best rides in AK.
Even little Sunny was enjoying the relaxation and the animals. After this, Mashea and Noah wanted to ride Everest. So we headed over to the large roller coaster. Now, I normally would ride a coaster but this one was wooden.. I don't do wooden coasters. So I sat with Sunny and we watched them go down. They loved it and said that it was their favorite ride at disney... After this we caught the Bug's Life Show... I heard from everyone that any child younger then 5 would be scared of this show, but Sunny wanted to see it anyway. I was so nervous for her during the show but she LOVED it! This would be the first of many rides deemed too scary for small children that Sunny rode with us! That's my girl!
