~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

howdy! just checking in and see your BUSY! phew! glad you got to towna dn back safely! Scary stuff going on out there..
people who cannot drive in the weather should stay AT HOME.. your ruinign my commute to work and back...

speaking of I better get to work too... way too busy for being off for two weeks!!!

can't wait to see the new creation you have!!!

So much going on with you. I am still praying for you and for Josh. My Disfriends are just so special to me, I hate to see any of your suffering in any way.

D~!!!! You totally need to come to Knoxville to visit! That is right around the corner from Liddy, and just a few hours from me. I would show up in a heartbeat!!! We could probably drag Lynn (cajunfan) with us to see you too, oh, and Stephanie (pixiedust530)...where has she been anyhow? :confused3 Yes, I am thinking a Knoxville Dismeet should definitely happen! You get on that right away, okay? :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I'm back to catching up on the Dis. I'm glad to hear that while life is crazy at the moment that everyone is okay. We're dealing with the bitter cold too and my preschooler has had two days cancelled so far which has made Christmas break extra long and mommy's patience thin. I think I had mentioned a long time ago (like 2 months or so) that I was on my own weight loss journey - just before Christmas I reached my first goal of 20lbs lost! I've fluctuated around that for the past two weeks between the holidays and a double ear infection from Hades that took two rounds of antibiotics to clear up. Of course my toddler is now sick again, which has made it difficult to get back into the routine of working out.

D~, so glad to hear you're back on track. A day of purging those pent up emotions is always a good thing. Now you can work in your sewing room and recharge. Can't wait to see the next creation.

I forgot to mention how adorable baby Thomas is! Also, baby Sully! And of course little Sami is the beautiful princess! I am a huge baby hugger. Just can't help myself!

I had to laugh at the the thought of D~ the desperado bank robber with Alli as the get away driver!! Glad your trip was a safe one.

I'm off to do some ironing...which is my least favorite thing to do. But I plan to watch a movie while I do it, so it takes a little of the sting out. Hope you have a great day in your sewing room! Oh, and yay for wonderful neighbors!!

Firstly, I want to thank D~ and everyone who reads this ptr who prayed for my family this week. We certainly sent Gwen off in style and with flair. The funeral home was packed on Sunday afternoon, not so much in the evening, but the weather was not cooperating. With temps rising and snow on the ground, we had a very thick fog.

When we got up on Monday, most of the snow was gone and temps were still around 40 degrees. Which made for somewhat good conditions for the funeral. The temps dropped throughout the day, but it was not too bad when we needed to be outside.

Gwen's family from Chicago (her sister, neices and nephew)'s flight was cancelled, so they spent another night, my cousin's from Kentucky's flight was delayed, but they were able to get on an earlier flight to Louisville. My son, Andrew had to fly to Sarasota Fl for work and his flight was delayed for an hour or so.

Lets see if I can remember anything else I wanted to comment on -

I am so happy Jennifer's husband is back home and I hope and pray they will get everything settled.

Glad to hear Josh made it to your dad's apt safe and sound. I've been worried about all of you up north. When I got up this morning the temperature was 0 degrees with a wind chill of -20. The current temp is 10, which is our high. It is supposed to warm up later this week.

I will catch up later - work is calling.

oh Tess...

we are all well.. thank you for asking! Just another circus in a new year! :rotfl2:

So glad to hear! :goodvibes

O-M-GOODNESS is this not the cutest little guy!!!! can i squeeze him??? PLEASE?!?!

No arguments here. ;) He's an amazing cuddler!

Liddy, good to see you back on the DIS. And baby Sully is an absolute doll.

Yes, the wrestlers got back safe and sound yesterday. :)

So good to be back! Like a breath of fresh air! :cloud9:

Thank you! I won't argue with you. :thumbsup2

Glad the wrestlers made it safe and sound!

Liddy

your baby is just a cutie. Just a little younger than Sami.

Thank you! Roughly two months! Sully was born 8/1. I don't think I've seen little Sami. :confused3 I bet she's a doll!!!

Awww....he's a cutie patootie too!

Thank you! :cloud9:

This makes me sad... I hope that whatever it is goes away - sooner rather than later, although that doesn't sound like it's the case at all. :(

Who knows. :sad2: I see another specialist Friday, and maybe he can shed some light. Granted, my lungs are not his expertise ... but the body is funny.

Baby Sully is so adorable!!! I just want to pick him up and hold him!!! :lovestruc

Go to WDW in October and you can hold him all you want! :lmao: A and V can, too! They're both AMAZING with kids. I could use someone to watch Sully while I ride things. :rolleyes1

I hope this means you are going to start a PTR!

I hope to start one! I'm still getting things resolved and settled ... but it's my plan. Sully doesn't give me much time to do anything ... all I get done is his laundry. :laundy: I guess that's what I get for cloth diapering him.

I know... I just have to give you some crap. :lovestruc We've missed you!

I miss you guys, too!! :grouphug:

I know - Sully is so adorable too! All of these CUTE babies!

Thanks! I won't argue with anyone on that point. :rotfl: I love me some babies!!! MORE BABY PICS! :woohoo: More Thomas, and how about Sami, too!

I'm glad that Josh made it safely! Also, I laughed at the thought of you stripping in the bank! They have signs at my bank saying to remove hats, hoods, sunglasses, etc.

So much going on with you. I am still praying for you and for Josh. My Disfriends are just so special to me, I hate to see any of your suffering in any way.

Sign me up for a Knoxville DISmeet! :cool1:

Also, baby Sully! I am a huge baby hugger. Just can't help myself!

Babies are amazing!!! He's such a snuggler, too!

Oh my baby Thomas and baby Sully!! Squeeeee!!

Aren't they just precious! Now we need to line up the boys with Sami and get some trio pics going!

Yah - Alli was 2 weeks late and V was 1 week early. Which is shocking now... because Alli is always the first to wake up in the morning and V sleeps all day long if she can. However... Polar opposite when we are trying to get ready to go anywhere... V is always the first one ready, and Alli has to primp herself forever.

Now that's funny!! Since Sarah is my only girl she does take longer than the boys to get ready. I have to brush her hair, help her find the right shirt/dress/skirt/etc and the scary part is SHE'S ONLY 5!!!!!! :scared1: I'm so scared to know how she acts when she becomes a teenager!!

I hope you are able to get everything ready. I keep checking in the morning, expecting to hear that you're new little guy has arrived. :surfweb:

No baby yet. Next appointment is on Friday so we'll see what she says then. Slowly making progress. I got our bags all packed today, kids included just incase they have to stay at a friends house over night and go to school the next day. While doing that I realized Jeff hadn't pulled the baby blankets out of the attic so he did that tonight and I'll go through them tomorrow and pull out the one's I want to use and send the rest back up until next month when I find out what a friend of mine is having. I told her she had first dibs at any of my baby stuff once she knew what she was having. She's already laid claims to a couple things (baby swing, bouncer and excersaucer) but won't be able to say what clothes she wants until she knows if it's a boy or a girl. The other thing I've gotten done is put all the baby clothes away. When we pulled them out of the attic I realized they smelled a little musty so we had to wash them before I could put them away.

Thank you... I have a Jenny update below.

I want to say I'm glad to hear he's home safe and sound!!

Glad to hear your feeling better about things with your dad. I hope Josh is able to get it all done in the time frame needed. Happy to hear he made it safe.

Funny about the bank. :rotfl:

Now you made me want to go see Saving Mr. Banks even more!! Happy you guys all enjoyed it.

I'm on the train to work and trying to respond on my phone...we will see how many typos I get.

Glad Josh made it safely to your dad's. And he is probably right that he'll get it done faster. I know it's hard for you not to be there but probably for the best.

What a nice neighbor jumping your car.

You cracked me up with your stripping as you walked in bank.

Have a good day; I think my train is actually warmer than my house.

I think it's awesome that you multi-task on the train... Excellent use of time. :thumbsup2

I am glad that my bank stripping adventure was funny... And I think it's strange that all other banks have notes up saying to remove that sort of thing... I don't think I have ever seen that before? Maybe I just never noticed. I will have to look the next time I go to the bank.

I don't know how you all live in these cold weather places. It was 24 when I dropped the girls off this morning and that is about 40 degrees to cold for me. Living in Florida has certainly thinned out my blood! In my defense, this is the coldest weather in Jacksonville in 25 years, I believe, so it's not just me being a wimp.

I don't know either? LOL I wish I could go somewhere warmer, FL would be very nice!

I'm so glad to hear that Josh got to your dad's house safe. I can't belive the weather you are having. It's even on the news here. The weather is so weird. While you are having the coldest winter in 20 years. We are having a very warm winter. This morning at 07 o clock it was 37,4ºF here. That is not normal this time of year. We don't have much snow either just a lot of ice

Yah - today is the start of our "heat wave"... We are supposed to make it up to 7 deg today! WHOOT! I just keep telling myself... Only 2 more months of this... :beach:

How nice of your friend to send you the book about Walt Disney World. How great that you all liked the movie and that you got to see it. It's not in the cinemas here so I don't have a clue when I will be able to see the movie.

I know - it's a really fun book! Yes, loved the movie... Do you think it will show in your area soon?

I had to laugh at your bank story. I work in downtown Chicago and the bank we use requires everyone to remove hats, hoods and sunglasses before going in. I tend to tease the guard every time I have to take off my hat in this cold weather.

I'm glad you let Josh handle things for your Dad. It is hard to let go but sometimes it has to be done.

I have never - in my entire life - seen a notice like that at a bank... I don't know if I just never pay attention? Which is entirely possible... The next time I go in there - I will have to look. I am on a first name basis with everyone there (as I am sure everyone is in my town) - so I will ask them when I go in next time - maybe I just missed it?

It's very hard - but he seems to be making progress. I think he's a bit lonely though - he talked to me for 35 minutes last night... LOL Normally - a phone conversation with him is under 30 seconds. LOL

howdy! just checking in and see your BUSY! phew! glad you got to towna dn back safely! Scary stuff going on out there..
people who cannot drive in the weather should stay AT HOME.. your ruinign my commute to work and back...

Well, we haven't had any bad roads by us - so we've been lucky... Just the cold. I hope your roads are getting better though.

speaking of I better get to work too... way too busy for being off for two weeks!!!

can't wait to see the new creation you have!!!

:thumbsup2

So much going on with you. I am still praying for you and for Josh. My Disfriends are just so special to me, I hate to see any of your suffering in any way.

Thanks Oopsi... We are getting through. Josh seems to be doing an excellent job at my dad's apartment.

Someday I may... I didn't realize so many of my Dis friends lived in TN. :scratchin

I'm back to catching up on the Dis. I'm glad to hear that while life is crazy at the moment that everyone is okay. We're dealing with the bitter cold too and my preschooler has had two days cancelled so far which has made Christmas break extra long and mommy's patience thin. Of course my toddler is now sick again, which has made it difficult to get back into the routine of working out.

Welcome back!

I know the feeling... My girls did go back for 2 days... but the extra 2 days off gave them a 4 days weekend... They don't drive me too crazy anymore - which is good. LOL

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is awesome!!! Sorry you were so sick though, but glad the meds worked... Hopefully the little one is feeing better soon.

D~, so glad to hear you're back on track. A day of purging those pent up emotions is always a good thing. Now you can work in your sewing room and recharge. Can't wait to see the next creation.

For sure - feeling MUCH better now!

I forgot to mention how adorable baby Thomas is! Also, baby Sully! And of course little Sami is the beautiful princess! I am a huge baby hugger. Just can't help myself!

Thank you!!! I just love seeing pictures of him - and all of the little babies, they are so precious!

I had to laugh at the the thought of D~ the desperado bank robber with Alli as the get away driver!! Glad your trip was a safe one.

Hahahaha... . I didn't even think of Alli as the get away driver! I am afraid she wouldn't make the best get away driver yet... Still lots of practice to be had.

I'm off to do some ironing...which is my least favorite thing to do. But I plan to watch a movie while I do it, so it takes a little of the sting out. Hope you have a great day in your sewing room! Oh, and yay for wonderful neighbors!!

I hope you were able to finish your ironing - I know how much you hate it.

Still praying for Jennifer... Please keep us updated.

Firstly, I want to thank D~ and everyone who reads this ptr who prayed for my family this week. We certainly sent Gwen off in style and with flair. I am happy to hear that you sent Gwen off with a bang - I bet she loved it! So sad that the weather didn't cooperate. You've been on my mind a lot lately, my friend.

Glad it's been a better day! I laughed out loud at your bank story! So funny!

Thanks! Yah - I felt a little awkward there for a second, but when it's that cold out - you don't dare not have everything covered. I am sure I wasn't the only one that day. LOL

So glad to hear!

No arguments here. He's an amazing cuddler!

So good to be back! Like a breath of fresh air!

Thank you! I won't argue with you.

Glad the wrestlers made it safe and sound!

Bummer - I was hoping when I saw your post on your PTR that this was IT... :hourglass Soon... Very, very soon...

Glad you found someone to take all of your baby items off your hands, that's super nice of you.

I want to say I'm glad to hear he's home safe and sound!!

Glad to hear your feeling better about things with your dad. I hope Josh is able to get it all done in the time frame needed. Happy to hear he made it safe.

Funny about the bank.

Thank you... It's been an emotional week - but I am feeling much better now.

I hope you go see it - it's wonderful!

**********************************************************

Sorry for the short replies this morning...

Gotta run...

Today is my Dad's discharge meeting, so I need to get on the road early.

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Prayers and good thoughts to all in need. :)

D~

Don't forget me! I'm only 3 hours from Knoxville. ::yes::

D~ I've been following along this weekend on Facebook and here but I just haven't had a lot of time to post. I'm sorry you had such a rough couple of day. :sad1: I'm glad things are going better now, hope you have a great day with your Dad, be careful on your drive!

Saving Mr.Banks will have premiere 14.march 2013 in Norway. So I still have to wait a while for it.

Saying prayers for you this morning (as usual); let us all know how the meeting went and your Dad's move over; stay safe in this crazy weather!

Is Alli taking driving classes? They have the option to do a parent taught class here in Texas; I did it with my oldest and said never again; no way, no how; youngest went to driving school which was such a pain taking him there all the time, we live out in the sticks and it takes a good half hour to get to town; but I think he learned more and there weren't as many tension filled moments; driving with teens; what an experience.

Sending prayers for you and your Dad today for a smooth transition. It's probably all done by now, at least I hope so. Stay warm and stay safe!

I totally forgot about posting about how cute both boys are! Thomas is getting so big! and Sully is just adorable!

I also forgot to mention Lois' Jennifer. Continued prayers for her too. She has been in my thoughts.

I hope all went well with you today. We are trying to get back into our "normal" routine - Shannon went back to NYC yesterday, so Charlie and I have the house to ourselves - with the doggies of course! Poor little Ringo looked so pathetic sitting by the door waiting for Shannon to pack him up and take him with her. I finally went back to work yesterday and have been playing catch up. I somehow ended up chairperson of our Agricultural Business Council at our meeting today....

I have lots of sewing projects on my schedule - I made some pillowcases for Mo's kids and want to do a couple of other things for them.

Prayers to all who need them.

:wave2:
I hope everything went smoothly with your dad's meeting today and that you and Josh are staying warm and safe on the roads.

That little Thomas is adorable - but getting so big.

That Sully is adorable.
