Question about Studio Tour

I was just looking at the wait times on Universal Studios Hollywood site, and was surprised to see the wait time for the studio tour was an hour. That was the longest wait in the park at the time. I didn't realize it got that long, since there seems to be quite a few trams running at once. Guess I was wrong.

My question is, do you just get in line when you want to take the tour? Or, do you get tickets for a specific time and then come back?

You get in line unless you have a Front of the Line pass. It's a constant loader so the line never really stops moving, but it has a very long queue.

Ok thanks. We took the VIP tour last year, but I haven't done the regular tram tour in about 27 years! How long is the tour?

It's 45 to 55 minutes.
