Dinner and Walking it off



We had a full morning from rope drop to meeting Mickey and it was getting hot so time for that afternoon break.

Our transportation back from MK to WL this afternoon.

It was time for an afternoon rest, a drink, or just relaxing out of the heat.


When the sun was lower in the sky it was time to venture out again.

On the way out we stopped to search for HM.

See any?


I think we can make out some in this one with a close up.

Looking back at the lodge.

On our way we passed River Country. So sad it just sits there.

Our first stop.

I thought that this was cute.

Up to the monorail. Hello goat with 5 legs.

This may be sign to the secret restrooms at Chef Mickey. I love my zoom lens.

Mine- Complete with substitutions I am sure Salmon, Mashed potatoes and broccolini

Update continued..... After a lovely dinner at the Grand Flo cafe which will be on our go back to list. Good drinks, good food and being accommodating to my allergies with out serving me dry chicken with no flavor.



Dessert sampler- I think I still have Mickey in my fridge.....

A nice evening for a walk.

So just like the sign says I cannot pass a bathroom without a peek... and pictures of course.

It was time for…. at the Poly of course.

We took a boat but we were not going “home yet”. We were visiting the neighborhood.

After a walk across the 4th floor walkway, up to the top floor , figuring out there was no access, back down to the BLT lobby to check in and be escorted back up we finally reach the Top of the world lounge. That should have taken care of calories.

That was the end to our night. Another wonderful day. Stay tuned to where we go Thursday. After so much time has passed I am looking forward to finding out too.

Looks like a lovely evening around the Seven Seas Lagoon!!

Seeing the pictures of all the trees in front of the WL just makes me sad however, they seem to be all gone to build the new bungalows. So sad!!

Okay, I am going to attempt to add to this update. If this actually works, I will feel at least a little better about things since it will mean that it is a whole lot easier to post pictures.

It was quite crowded that morning at the pre-opening........and somehow they all seemed to try and enter the park when we did!




So many interesting signs when you're waiting in the queue for loading the Jungle Cruise.............



And now........The Back Side of Water!!!!!



We had a really wonderful meal at Grand Flo Cafe that evening. The food, the setting, and the scenery were all top notch! Pat already posted pics of the food and drinks, so I won't repeat any of that. I think the drinks we had were: Pat had the Grand Colada, and I either had the Pina Colava, or it was maybe the Key West.

After the meal we headed out towards the beach so we could take a stroll over to the Poly to see Pat's favorite, and must do, the EWP. It's good that we caught it this night otherwise we just might have missed it this trip............. While I waited for Pat to go take her requisite pics of a restroom she spotted, I decided to take a few of the sights around the lake.

We made our way slowly around the lake and out onto the boat dock, which has become the best place to view EWP now that the beachfront has basically disappeared. While we waited, I decided to get a picture of the Contemporary lit up at night, with the added bonus of one of the Ferry Boats cruising by.



And then it was time for the main event..............







After we enjoyed our rare viewing of EWP, we headed off to the Contemporary for some fireworks viewing. Pat already described our round about path to finally reach the Top of the World at BLT. It was well worth the effort as it provides a nice vantage point (and different) for viewing the MK fireworks.




It was a great ending to a rather long, but very nice MK day!

Glad to see you guys updated! The GF Cafe has been on my list of places to try, hopefully I will get to go there sometime soon. I'm not a fan of red meat but everything looked good.

I have only seen bits and pieces of the Electrical Water Pageant (mostly from the window at Ohana), would like to see it from ground/water level sometime.

Those green beans may be "evil" as you say, but they were very, very good! The whole meal was fantastic, including all of those desserts.......well, except the chocolate Mickey. Still don't know what THAT tasted like.........

Well, I don't have to upload the pictures to Photobucket to post, BUT............by using the drag and drop feature you only get to post 10 in an update AND.........it takes quite a few takes to get the pictures small enough to post, so...........still a PITA but at least I did it............once anyway.

Ugh. That just doesn't look fun at all. It's getting harder and harder to find a time when the parks aren't crowded!

Actually it turned out to not be as bad as it looks for our plans since there are so many options to head towards in MK, especially when Anna and Elsa are a must do for so many. We ended up not that far back in the SB line at 7DMT and got in a ride before our FP+ window opened where we could walk off and right back on.

Oh No I hate to see another area........changed like that. I am used to the "new" beach area at the Poly but I guess I have to get used to the "new " area at WL lodge too.

Sorry it is been so far and few between. GF cafe was good. 9pm Sharp down at the boat dock at the Poly. Pencil it in to your schedule. Only about 10 minutes long but such a simple and fun sight.

Thanks for sticking with this. A snow day may help this but if not then a couple of treacherous days and a on out of town conference which may or may not be affected will steal this week away.

All caught up !!! That dessert sampler looked awesome !! I was right you were at the Grand Floridian !!! Bet no one else guessed that !!I've still got it !! Just can't remember what it is sometimes Judy is recovering well from her surgery , Steph survived the sleep study and I still have a day off tomorrow !!! I have had more days off in the last week than I remember in a while . Off Thursday, Friday all day and poart of Sat & Sun and off Monday. Who knows I may finally get enough sleep andbe all caught up that I can Dis at home !!!

Thanks for your concern, it is just so much more work with this new management , I am so mentally tired , I just can't do anything when I get home.I am trying to say to heck with it and not be such a maniac getting everything done . I did stop and smell the roses at work a few times last week , even checked Disney menus !!! Can't Dis they have that blocked Also have at least tried to get out to the stores more than once a week , feels good so I am coming back !! I'll get there eventually. Samantha moved out this weekend to her first apppartment , she is so excited .Today I gave Kyle a long list of responsibilities as it is now just him and me in the house , he took it well , and didn't even get tooo mad when Judy added to it . Judy hates that he wont come to live with her and Dave but he says the house scares him .He has lived in my house since her was 18 months and does NOT want to live anywhere else .

Samantha moved out this weekend to her first apppartment , she is so excited .Today I gave Kyle a long list of responsibilities as it is now just him and me in the house , he took it well , and didn't even get tooo mad when Judy added to it . Judy hates that he wont come to live with her and Dave but he says the house scares him .He has lived in my house since her was 18 months and does NOT want to live anywhere else .

Change can be tough.......even when you aren't a youngster. At least he is growing up enough to accept some responsibilities. He's doing better than some adults.........
