DS came home last week thrilled to his toes with the prospect of going on a skiing field trip. We needed $50 to pay for the lift ticket, instructor fee and bus costs. I pulled $40 of it together over the last two weeks, so it took away from some of my earnings here.

I don't think I'm going to make my January goal. Payday is in a week and I have $5 to my name. I've got a full tank of gasoline and a house full of food but no further expenses to pay for, so I'm fine that way...but surveys are pretty much the only method of earning/saving available to me for the next week and I am not going to make $389. I knew it was a long shot for the Europe part, but I'm not sure I can come up with the rest of the Florida stuff either. I'll keep trying though and see where I can get! Never say die, ammIright?

**DH told me I could toss his spending money in the vacation account. I took $50 of his $100 so he has something to spend this month. Should it still be there in three weeks...I'll toss it (or whatever remains) into the vacation account at that point. I didn't tell him I only took half though...so he may not know it's there to spend. Yes, yes...I AM evil. He confessed the other day to finding a dime on the ground AND LEAVING IT THERE!! DD brings me home all the found coins she sees and can recover but DS threw out a nickel from his pocket because it was "too dirty". Can you believe that? What is going on with the men in my family? I lectured them both. I want ALL the change you see for Disney...I'll wash it if I have to.

***The Disney money is in our regular checking account but the vacation account for Europe is a savings account in its own right. We earned $0.02 in interest last month, which is laughable but every penny does count!

*The sucky thing about waiting until the end of the month to cash in all the extra bits from the budget categories is that I have to wait until the end of the month to cash in the extra bits from the budget categories!!
