I'm gonna go with good influence! :rotfl:

I don't know she made it through school, she must have been bouncing off the walls! That's why she never heard you about her shoes! Tuned out is what I call it.

Cheesecake Factory. Mmmmmm. I've eaten there once in my life and I think it's been one of the best meals I've ever had in my life!

    Bad road way debris!!

I did not know that, but I will make myself try those in the future. :rotfl:

I know, I am such a mean Mom. But she was going to miss so much school as it was, I had to get in every last bit before we left.

You are on the way ............. I take my hat off to you for already starting your TR. I still need to start mine for DLRP. ;)
I guess the Cheesecake Factory in Orlando is in our future, since you seem to like it so much.
I remember the school shoe "drama" from facebook. Great it was so easily resolved. Can't wait for more. :thumbsup2

To be honest, my original post was First, but then I saw 3 others before me and thought I should change it so I didn't look like a complete moron.

How can you forget your kids shoes for vacation though???

Things are so much clearer now, lol. I remember reading on fb about the shoes and the car.

Yum! The cheesecake factory! One of my favorites. We have eaten at two of them in Florida, the one in Brandon and the one at Millenium Mall. We use to love the burgers at Disney Quest when it was the Cheesecake Factory Express, but the burgers at the real Cheesecake Factory are missing something that was on the DQ ones. Now DQ has Disney burgers...just not the same.

Selective hearing on the shoes. Glad you were able to find replacements.

How nice that you had a DIS meet planned before your trip.

All caught up here now. You know...... for now.:rotfl:

So glad you noticed the shoe thing and were able to fix it easily. My husband probably needs new shoes before the trip, but we're 12 days out and he says it's too early to think about packing and preparing. So I guess he's on his own....... :rolleyes1

Welcome! I will be working on my next update shortly!

I am kind of glad there isn't one near me. I would be too tempted to go all the time.

Thanks! That was one of the prints I we got on the ship and I scanned it. I think it's on my sisters CD too....if I ever get a copy.

Welcome. I see you on the boards a lot too. We must follow a lot of the same people. I hope to get this moving on to the fun stuff soon.

Welcome! Thanks for joining in. :yay:

I've been to the Millineum Mall one last year. Boy that was good. I haven't ventured out too much with the food, but what I have had is good. I do love the cheesecake though.

Well, I'll probably put you behind again today if I get another update going. LOL.
I do all of Skips packing, or it wouldn;t be done at all. Or not very well at the last minute. You know...through a paor of underwear and socks in a plastic bag. Then rotate them each day without washing. :lmao:

When I got home, his Mom had done a load of laundry for him. He says he never did any on his own, which I am sure he didn't. He only wore like 6 pairs of underwear while I was gone for 2 weeks. I questioned him about this...and he "says" he did a load then. I don't believe him. I think he went two weeks with being as gross as he possibly could. :rotfl:

    Edit...Oh and he's all mine....you can't have him.

I almost spit my coffee out! :rotfl2:
That all sounds exactly like my husband on his hunting trips. He comes home with so much clean laundry it scares me!

For dinner, Claire and I planned to share a pizza. I had had their pizza last year and really liked it and I knew Claire would like this choice as well.

Carrie got the Alfredo…I think with chicken in it.

And Amanda got some sort of club if I remember right.

The food was good, but I think we all ended up with to go boxes with leftovers.

Now for the real reason we came here ….the Cheesecake!

I got the reeses peanut butter one. Yum yum yum!!!

I couldn’t finish it so I brought that home with me as well.

    Carrie got a pumpkin.

Amanda got hers to go, and I can’t remember which flavor she got, it might have been pumpkin as well.

Carrie also got one to go for her DH. She said he made her promise to bring home a slice. LOL.

All too soon it was time to say good bye. I was really happy to have the chance to get to meet up with Carrie. It was also amazing how many things she and Amanda had in common.
Before we left I did have Amanda take a picture of us.

We walked out together and then separated to head to our cars.

We headed down the road to Amanda’s house and once again I got on the kindle for a bit and we turned on some TV. Claire pulled out some homework to do too. We figured we wouldn’t have a lot of time to do it once we left, so we better at least put some effort into it now.

Well ….let’s just say …Amanda and I could fail the 2nd grade. We worked on phonics. Who invented such a horrid subject. Neither of us understood how to do her work, but she seemed to know what she was doing. It looked “wrong” to us, but what do we know. In the meantime, we pulled out the cheesecake and finished that off too. She only did a few pages and we gave up and I insisted on going to bed.
Amanda was packing her lunch for the next day at work. She also was driving to Toledo to visit a friend after work, so she was getting that all ready as well. She kept asking me if I was going to eat my pizza, then it dawned on me that she wanted it for her lunch and I told her to take it as I didn’t think I would eat it before we left in the early AM.

We had the car packed with luggage and decided on a time to wake up and leave. I think it was something like 4:50 AM…or some awful time like that. I knew I really didn’t have to do much to myself that morning. So I wasn’t going to get up earlier than needed.
We hit the sack and Claire was anxious …and so was I. But soon she was asleep. Let me tell you sleeping with Claire is drawing the short straw. She is ALL over the bed. I did not sleep well that night at all. It was much too hot and I kept waking in a sweat. Claire kept shimmying over to my side and I kept pushing her back. One time I realized she had absolutely no blankets on her and I realized she was probably cold, so I pushed all the blankets back on her and things went a little better after that.
