**** official june 2015 thread! **** come check in!

We just got home yesterday. We had a great time! We were able to get a ton of things done in the morning. We were there for RD everyday. We rode several rides over and over. We were even able to walk onto Radiator Springs Racers over and over again using single rider. It was great! It gets REALLY busy in the evening. It is wall to wall people. People start lining up for the Paint The Night Parade really early and it's hard to get around. The parade and the fireworks are absolutely amazing. The two nights we were there the fireworks were cancelled due to the winds. I was really bummed, I wish I could have seen it more times. We did not end up seeing WOC because we kept waiting to see the fireworks which kept being cancelled. We watched the Paint the Night Parade between Alice in Wonderland and the Teacups. It's a great spot, hardly anyone was there to watch it and we just walked up got a front seat pretty much and did not wait. I recommend that spot.
I was concerned about the Grads. They weren't too bad. It gets REALLY :furious: crowded in the evening, I don't think it's all grads. Yes they cursed and were pretty rowdy. My son used the men's room and said that one grad was in there and vomiting all over the floor after riding Space Mountain. My son was pretty sure that he had been drinking. That was the most unpleasant Grad experience we had.

If you see any merchandise you want when you get there grab it early. My son saw a shirt he really wanted he went back the next day and it was gone. They sold out completely in both parks and at The Wold of Disney. I bought a pin when I got there, it wasn't limited edition either and it sold out by the time I left. I'm glad I picked that up when I did. The 60th Anniversary stuff goes quickly!

I had the best time that I have ever had on any Disney trip that I had been on! It was great! Hope everyone has as much fun as I did!

Leaving Wed for a 2 week California adventure (San Francisco to San Diego) celebrating DH's retirement after 42 hard years. :) Checking into DL Hotel for 2 nights on the 14th during our southern portion. So very excited.

Hi all, here now with 2 full days done in the parks - Friday and Saturday, both grad nights. The grads have for the most part been very well-behaved, from what I've observed. Sometimes they get excited and shout and run and jump on each other, but I haven't seen anything that has turned me off to coming on a grad night in the future. If anything it's been fun to watch them while waiting in line - they're excited, very happy. Two grads even started doing a waltz to music in line for Mr. Toad's. I have seen the CMs monitoring line jumping at RSR and Space Mountain - at RSR, some grads were going from the standby line to the single rider line, and the CM told them they had to go all the way back out and come back in the single rider line. At Space Mountain, it was a group of 30 people, not grads - more like a huge family of all ages. They all tried to go through the FP line, but none of them had actual FastPasses, so 3 CMs came and escorted them all out of the line. I have also seen, mostly with big families, one person in line, then all of a sudden here come 10 more family members, joining their group. Then they can't decide how to split up when the CMs try to get them in the ride queues, and it holds up the entire line. This happened at IASW and Roger Rabbit.

Definitely do rope drop! We got so much done before noon both days, and then it started to get really crowded, especially yesterday. Disneyland was more crowded than DCA at night both nights. We didn't try to watch WOC yet.

For Paint the Night and the fireworks, we decided to watch the 11:00 PM parade. We came in from DCA at 9:00 PM and were in Town Square when the parade was going by. The problem with this was that after the parade, the CMs made everyone in the corner of Town Square go through the 'secret passage' into Tomorrowland, then they made us go further into Tomorrowland. Every time we tried to stop and watch the fireworks, which had already started, CMs told us we had to keep moving deeper into Tomorrowland. We finally ended up stopping and watching near Finding Nemo subs - not ideal at all because we couldn't see the side of the Matterhorn with the projections, and we couldn't see the castle, but we could see all the fireworks. But we couldn't hear the music very well at all. So that was disappointing. I don't understand how to see the 9:30 PM fireworks if we don't want to fight the crowds for the 8:50 PM parade - there's hardly any time in between the parade ending and the fireworks. I guess we'd have to be further into the park, but not trapped by Fantasmic so we could get to the hub or to IASW or to Main Street. But those CMs were not messing around, they would not allow anyone to stand and watch the fireworks unless they were inside a rope, and I don't know how to get inside that rope without watching the 8:50 PM parade.

Now on to the good news... we had a fabulous viewing spot for the 11:00 PM parade! As we walked out of Tomorrowland after the fireworks fiasco, we stopped to ask 2 CMs where they recommend we watch the parade. One CM took us to the benches on the outer right curb of the hub, across from a churros cart - several benches were empty, and these ended up being perfect! We arrived there around 10:00 PM and then one of us went and got popcorn while the other saved our seats. The parade went right in front of us, and we sat the entire time - it was awesome! We did have some people come at the last minute and ask to sit on the ground in front of us, which was fine since they didn't stand up. Even if they had stood up, we could also stand, and no one could stand behind us because there was the fence behind the benches. The parade is fantastic!

I'm planning to go back tonight, and then I'll see how the conference goes and when I can sneak away to the parks for more fun. :-)

I'm so happy to hear your report! I know you were really worried about the grads, I'm so glad it all worked out and you had a great trip.

Great info! I am wondering what land/area I could wait in while the first PTN goes by(without watching it) and then be able to funnel into the hub for fireworks? Any ideas? We'll be there to in 2 weeks!!!!

We arrive on Friday June 12th, driving from Las Vegas. Will be staying at Disney's Grand Californian.

I would say you could hang out in Frontierland or Adventureland and hop onto Main Street. We hung out in some shops one night and that worked out too!

Have any of you heard of the Diamond Days Sweepstakes? I had not heard about it until today. Here is the info written by someone else on another thread:

Just checked into Camelot and heading to the Crab Cooker in Newport for dinner. Then we start bright and early tomorrow morning for DL!

I am so worried about fireworks :(. That is the one thing we want to see, but we have two small, special needs children. There is no way we can wait for 4 or 5 hours or even 2 or 3 to get a spot. I am going to be so sad if we don't get to see them.

We're at 17 days away now... Thrilled to be reading the trip reports of the people that are there now, or already back home!

I'll be there next week 12-15 with my son and DH (staying at Doubletree), then back on the 29th-July 4 with one of my closest friends (at Portofino Inn)

I know it'll be busy, and crazy (Kim and Kanye or no Kim and Kanye :P), but I am super excited for both trips!

For anybody visiting the parks over the next few days I heard that Blue Bayou will be temporarily offering its Fantasmic package during lunch hours as a test run.
