"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Sandy Claws (isn't that the Christmas version of Jack? I know nothing about The Nightmare Before Christmas) was moved back to Storybook Circus for MVMCP last year. He was in that random seating area back there. We were hanging out, enjoying the relative peace and quiet back there last December when they made us move to set up his set. I think that's a better location for such popular characters than right by the park entrance. I wouldn't think they'd move the 7Ds simply because their location makes sense and they had a good queue area set up for them that didn't otherwise block traffic, but we shall see.

The answers to the questions make me think that Maleficent and Evil Queen won't be meeting anywhere. That would be a tremendous bummer, but maybe they're just trying to keep them a surprise until after the first party, considering the debacle surrounding them last year.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Maleficent and the Evil Queen will be out. I've decided to dress as the Evil Queen this year so it would be fun to meet her again and I've never met Maleficent since the line was cut off when I tried.

I liked where Jack was moved to in Storybook Circus last MVMCP - it was a great location and most of us were undercover during the short rainstorm that happened just before the party started.

So bummed that the princes won't be seen! My best bet now will be going to DLR on Valentine's Day(actually a possibility for me!) We're going as Aurora and Phillip and I would've loved to meet both. Then again, I don't even know now if Aurora will meet! She isn't in PFH anymore...

First parade is 8:35, HalloWishes is at 10:00 and 2nd parade is 11:15.

Ty for that update. I guess that answers which end the parade will start at then. Check in for the dessert party is 9:30pm (check in for the parade viewing area is 7:30pm), if the parade started at town square, they wouldnt need to escort us directly to the tomorrowland terrace as we'd be there way too early. So it seems like the parade will start in frontierland, then reach town square and finish up by maybe 9:15pm which would fit in line with us being escorted directly to the dessert party area.

In all honesty, my wife and I are thinking about skipping out on the first parade and just going straight to the dessert party at 9:30. Mainly b/c we can stay out until the 2nd parade (no kids) and we don't want to have to fight back up main street to check in.

That is our plan as well. According to the thread on the party, it seems to be several peoples plan. Really waiting to get some feedback from the early party goers on this event.

With the 2nd parade being so late, its a near guaranteed front row spot 5 minutes before it starts.

We are going to the first party of the year so part of me feels duty bound to attend the 1st parade viewing spot to report back to the DisBoards and part of me agrees with your statement that a front row view will be available 5 minutes before it starts so why waste the time?

It's too bad those who plan on skipping the parade can't "rent out" their parade spots. We're a party of 7 so as much as I'd love to do the dessert party, it's just a bit cost prohibitive (and it's already sold out for 10/29 - I checked just in case). I imagine Disney would frown on "sharing" amenities :)

That is a shame there is no way to do that. As much as I would love to give my spots away (we're going on the 22nd) we'd have to pass our "credentials" off to someone else so they could get into the viewing area and then meet up with them afterwards to get them back. And if you do that with the wrong person, you stand a chance at losing the dessert party too if you don't get your creds back. I'm assuming the credentials will be a pass on a lanyard or something. Would be easy to swap out if you knew and trusted the people you were doing it with.

I felt like it was a little costly for what it is - but we had the regular wishes dessert party scheduled for the night before, so we cancelled that and booked this. Since it only costs $40 extra, we went for the splurge but I can completely understand how it adds up. My wife and I are already slightly dreading the cost to take our kids (when we have them) to WDW.

Don't be shy on filling that plate up lol. We're def not going to be shy about it.

So no princes, no maleficent, no villians dance party, no villians mix and mingle, no evil queen.. What about the hag from snow white? What special characters will we be able to meet at the party?

I could have sworn that they initially advertised that Maleficent and the Queen were meeting with their respective princesses. Am I thinking of another event/another princess and villain combo?

That was the initial release for last year's party, which was later revoked.

This is why it took us 7 years to go back to WDW! We went (just the two of us) in Dec 2012, DLR in Dec 2013, DLR in March 2014, and now WDW in Sept/Oct 2015. Summer of 2005 about killed us with 4 pubescent/pre-pubescent kids, lol!!!

Clark kent with the shirt half open to show the superman shirt underneath. Could also do this with the hulk, wear a lab coat with tears and rips and green underneath.

Harry potter Hogwarts students. If a robe is too much then a white button down with the gryffindor tie and scar and glasses.

Disney bound mickey mouse, even if he doesn't like mickey. Just a black shirt and red shorts and yellow shoes.

Or he could really be any standard Halloween costume, ie vampire ghost and so on.

Thanks!

No guessing needed. Boo to You parade starts in Frontierland and ends at Town Square.

If the comments on the parks blog are correct, no Princes this year:

Thanks so much for the great info Shawn. We’re so excited to experience our very first MNSSHP! Do you know if the princes will be available for meet and greets with their princesses?

Ruby – Princess Fairytale Hall will continue to host the same Disney royalty during the Halloween parties who visit during the regular operating day.

This is not good news. Not good at all.

I'm beginning to think that there will be no meeting the most popular villains, only the ability to see them in the stage show. That is a huge bummer.
