November 27th (part 2): Exploring heaven on earth
I don't have any more pictures with the characters but let's see. You know how our waitress said to let her know if we didnt see someone?
We saw each character three times and they were always energetic and I had great interaction with them, except the first Minnie.
I think at like one or two character meals I have gone to, I have seen a character SOMETIMES more than once. Usually happens at Crystal Palace, with like one character.
And we were there for like an hour and 15 or so minutes and we saw the characters that many times, considering there are only three, but still!
And overall, the food was FANTASTIC. The variety was amazing. I will put pictures in of the buffet in a second, but what they offer is nuts. I don't see Chef Mickey's offering the stuff they do at the Four Seasons. I am just sayin'.
They bring orange juice to your table, but you can go up and get this stuff. Mum tried the limoncello and she said it was pretty sour.
Like, look at this setup!
Just add some cookie butter and I will be all set.
They also had make your own parfaits!
I didn't take pictures of everything because there is SO much. Of course they have your basic breakfast foods, but they have a crazy amount of variety, and yes I know I have said that like 1400 times but THEY DO.
Final thoughts:
This breakfast is a little pricey, but SO. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Hands down my favorite character meal in all of WDW property. Of course you are meeting basic characters, but you see them so many times, and then you add the food and BOOM MIND = BLOWN.
This meal is not something we would ever do all the time. We wanted to do something special for Thanksgiving, and I think we need to make this an annual thing. Of course there are other restaurants at the Four Seasons, including PB&G, which lol we are going to like next week because Christmas decorations are up and I miss my resort!
One thing about eating at the restaurants is that they take your valet charge down to $5, which isnt bad considering what they originally charge you ($28........). Your server just needs to put a sticker on your valet ticket.
After finishing up breakfast, I wanted to explore more.
The Ravello Bar is right upstairs from the main restaurant.
We passed by Lickety Split again and CAN WE TALK ABOUT THOSE TABLES?!
They have a Disney planning desk, which is whatever, BUT I LOVE THE DESK.
OBSESSED WITH YOU
We went outside, and I just can't deal with this resort.
They even have a rock climbing wall, dudes!
LIKE HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE
We went into the Hideout, which is back by the basketballs courts and behind Explorer Island.
It was early so no one was really in there but the (idk what they call their cast) CM in there showed us around and it is so cool! They have a ton of games in there, a gelato shop, and these Microsoft tables, which are like giant tablets.
It was around 11:30 at this time and we were pretty much done for the day at my fave resort (besides WL duh) like ever. We chilled in the lobby for a few before going to pick up our car.
Now let's talk a little about the cast at the Four Seasons.
Over the past few years, I have seen the CMs at Disney getting worse and worse. Of course there are some awesome and friendly CMs that are amazing, but overall, I see a bad change in terms of service.
We see a lot of CMs that yell at guests, are very rude, have no personality whatsoever, and dont know what they are doing half of the time or arent doing their job. I know a major factor in this is how the guests have changed over the years, but that's what you signed up for. Yeah, I get being a CM is a lot of work and all, but still. With most CMs being part time and treating working at Disney as a "job" and not a career, it shows.
And a lot of this has to do with six hour Traditions. It used to be two whole days for cryin' out loud. What can you teach in six hours?! I have heard things about Traditions from CMs we know and one said that the CM leading his group never even mentioned having to point with two fingers (which is ridiculous), and our friend had to bring it up at the end.
I saw how proud the cast at the Four Seasons is to work at a place like that. We talked to a lot of people and they were helpful, welcoming, and had a great personality. The girl in the Hideout said how much she loved working there and I could see how proud she is of the resort.
The all around level of service blows Disney out of the water. Yeah, I know I am talking about the Four Seasons here, but you always used to hear about the level of service at Disney, and overall, that really isn't there anymore. It is sad, but it is the truth.
It is a whole other level goin on at the Four Seasons. Every CM we walked by said good morning or happy thanksgiving and then we got to Disney later in the day and it was like I was in another world. No one says anything to you anymore.
I seriously just want to go to the Four Seasons for the service because I am sick of the CMs at the parks.
So yeah. Go to the Four Seasons. The end.
