Today is Tuesday, January 15th
Everyone seems healthy so we get up at 7am and are in Epcot at 8:10am for EMH. We head straight to the new Test Track and I like it!
We had fun designing our own cars. We also got a FP before riding so we could do it two times in a row. With the FP, you don't get to do as much designing of your vehicle, so I'm glad we did stand-by first.
Then we played around with a bunch of the photos with the cars afterwards.
Off to Mission Space -- I thought we all were able to ride, but Elie was just a little too short. So Elie and I went to the playground to wait for Jerry and Rachel to do the spinning side. Mission Space spinning is on the list for Elie next month (Dec '13).
From there we rode Figment and Soarin. Of course we had to get our traditional family photo in front of the upside down water falls. <Sigh>, look how big Rachel and Elie are getting now. If you recall, we started this tradition when Rachel was nearly 2yo and Elie wasn't even in the picture -- literally.
I guess this year's photo will be the last for us to be able to lift up Elie!
Now Elie was dressed in a Cinderella shirt and as a CM approached her, he asked if Elie had met Cinderella yet.
Elie: "No, we haven't gone to the real Disney yet!" was her reply!
Then she said to me, "Mommy, this is just the pretend Disney, right?"
The CM and I laughed out loud at her innocence and remark.
In her mind, going to DHS and EPCOT did not count. She was waiting for Magic Kingdom!!
Then off to lunch at Seasons at The Land. This is one of our favorite places to eat at Epcot for lunch. Somehow, even with all the hustle and bustle of the area, it feels relaxing to us as we always get a booth, let the girls lie down for a bit and watch all the people.
At this point, we had some time, so I decided to wander and get some photos of the girls together. I ended up creating an incredible two-page spread of just these shots -- I loved their innocence and joy. I won't post all the pics but will just show you one.
Back to the resort and we decide to walk around The Little Mermaid section. I was so excited to see this, b/c it wasn't open in 2012 when Rachel and I went to visit on our July trip...and I just love Ariel.

This is me doing my Ursula imitation. I love Ursula too!

My pretty Ariel!! I have this pose in a ceramic display -- it is adorable!
And all around they had lots of colorful fish. This part of the resort blows away the rest ... or maybe it's just me, since I'm in love with The Little Mermaid movie.
So there are three buildings - King Triton, Ariel and Ursula. As you enter the area, you see Prince Eric's statue.
We decided to swim again at the Nemo pool, since that had the most stuff to do and it's just a great pool.
After swimming, we had everyone rest for 1 hour...not enough to nap but just to relax a bit. Then back to Epcot for Canada's Winter Wonderland (characters in winter garb -- lines were long so we just looked).
We decided to try something new - Agent P and this was a lot of fun to do. A bit too long as it starts with a bunch of talking. But we will do this again.
Then we had a Girl Scout Dis-meet with Jen's daughter. We met on the International Gateway bridge, figuring that was appropriate for Girl Scouts! Here we all are making the GS Promise sign. It's fun to meet other Dissers!! Thanks Jen for meeting up!
Finally, we went to Biergarten. I was really looking forward to this buffet, the show, etc. Jerry didn't want to go b/c although we are German, he doesn't really like the "sour" foods. I told him that there would be a lot more than sauerkraut and pickles!
Unfortunately, I will say we were very disappointed. We are not picky eaters and can always find something at a buffet. However, maybe we just hit it at a bad time because the food was dry and kind of tasteless...like it had been sitting out for a while. I did like the soup! We definitely found enough to eat but based on that meal, we won't be going back.
The girls LOVED all the dancing and we had a table right up against the dancing floor, so we let them dance away.
This is another reason the girls weren't eating - they were having too much fun dancing and then said they weren't hungry! Here is Elie after just coming back to the dance floor -- she is all excited!
I was surprised by how short the show was...only seemed like 3 or 4 songs. I really wish it was longer since that was the best part of the whole restaurant. We never got to hear them use the big, long horn, even though they said they would. However, the Chicken Dance was a HUGE hit with my family and others and we all got up on stage and were Goofy!
While in Germany, we did Agent P and this one was really cool. My favorite area was the German Bier Stiens singing and I also loved the Dolls section.
Unfortunately, by the time I got my camera out, the steins were no longer opening up to sing, but you get the idea.
At the end of the Agent P Mission, you have to return the little phone in a special place in each country. Here is one of them.
It's late, so off to MouseGears for some shopping. With a stop at Mexico, because you just HAVE to try on the sombrero -- everyone does it!
We bought 3 bags worth of goodies!!! And then home to AoA.
