Movie quotes that are part of your daily vocabulary

I guess I quote TV more than movies. Put me down as another Seinfeld quoter. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I still quote Buffy the Vampire Slayer quite a bit too.

With movies, probably Christmas Vacation is the most. "House sure does look swell Clark".

Well as many have said Your Killing me Smalls is popular around our house
A lot of times when someone asks me for directions I will say "You can't get there from here." Funny Farm
and pretty much every Friday when I leave work..." Its time to make like a tree and get out of here." Back to the Future

Oh mentioning work just reminded me about office space.

Excuse me, I believe you have my stapler

Sounds like a case of the Mondays.

Now, you know it's up to you whether or not you want to just do the bare minimum. Or... well, like Brian, for example, has thirty seven pieces of flair, okay. And a terrific smile.

No, you're just this penny-stealing... wanna-be criminal... man.
Yeah, well, that may be. But at least I never slept with Lumbergh.

Why does it say paper jam, there is no paper jam. (I think every printer I used in the 80's said this, there was never a paper jam.)

Not a quote but at work during late nights we used to put people messages of people on speaker slow them down and see who sounded the most like Lumbergh

We have so many, I can't think of them all. We quote movies (and song lyrics) quite a bit. A few favorites are:

"You're killing me, Smalls." --Sandlot (I see this one is popular.)
"Your stunned silence is very reassuring." --Monsters, Inc.
"Sleep when you're dead." --POTC
"No capes!" --The Incredibles

(non-movie, but a favorite Youtube channel, Bored Shorts)
"Darth Vader's like WHAAAA?"--the Cantina episode
"But I'm Josh Gwoban!"--the Josh Groban backstage episode

Another Bored Shorts fan here!! Those are hysterical!

Like everyone else, I'm on team "You're killing me Smalls." BDLsgal hates how often I bring it up.

Other quotes that I am partial to:

"Inconceivable!" and "You'd like to think that, wouldn't you!?"

"Juuuuuuuust a bit outside"

Anything from Airplane

And whenever I want to make people nervously laugh at a mind numbingly boring meeting, or a awkwardly tense situation, I will randomly blurt out...

"Hello. My name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

When something needs repaired - "220/221, whatever it takes" - Mr. Mom
When the doorbell rings - "Candygram" - SNL

A lot more, but those are some of my favorites.

"It looks questionable to me." - Tarzan
"You're killin' me Smalls!" - Sandlot
"My way! What way's my way?" - The Princess Bride
"Is this a kissing book(movie, etc.)" The Princess Bride
"So you're saying there's a chance." Dumb and Dumber

I use Super Troopers and other Broken Lizard quotes frequently as well.

Those words... UGH! You have no idea.

Dh would purposefully irritate me (I know, such love) and say that to me when dd was a baby and I put lotion on her after her bath. :sad2:

Ha ha DH would do the same when I put lotion on our twins after the bath.

We married well, didn't we. :rolleyes2

:rotfl2:
We recently watched this horror movie called Babadook. NONE of the kids were allowed to watch it, but our 9 year old requires us to do a plot summary. Our two year olds overheard. Now DH will randomly go around saying "Ba ba dook, dook, dook" in a creepy voice.

Then I hear: "Mom, Daddy's saying Babadook!"

Yeah, I could totally see that going down in my house.

I feel your pain smiths02, I feel your pain.

Most of the aforementioned bits from The Princess Bride, of course. (We had a thread here once in which people got really bent out of shape about not having watched the Princess Bride. I mean, never having seen that film is ... inconceivable! :duck: )

"I've got a bad feeling about this" and "Let the Wookiee win" from Star Wars.

We also like many things from Firefly & Serenity, such as:

Shiny!
She understands, she doesn't comprehend.
No power in the 'verse can stop me!
I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you!
Define "interesting"

From "Arthur"
- I'll alert the media.
- That's what I live for.
- I look forward to your next syllable with great eagerness.

From "Caddyshack"
- Whoa, did somebody step on a duck?
- Let's go, while we're young.
- Now I know why tigers eat their young.

From " A League of Their Own"
- Well then, this would be more, wouldn't it?
- Haven't you ever heard of a leash?
- You know, if I had your job, I'd kill myself. Wait here, I'll see if I can dig up a pistol.
