Also, if you stay in the Disney designated hotels, they will check you in at the hotel a day before and give your kttw card. Once in port, you can go ahead and board once allowed. I'm not sure if that will be the same this year but that's what we did in 2010.

Did DCL allow all passengers to wait in line to disembark at the listed "Onshore" time (assuming the ship was cleared to disembark passengers), or were DCL excursion people given priority and private tour people somehow "held back."
SPECIFICALLY--FOR ROME---I have an early morning tour scheduled at 9:40 a.m. @ the Colosseum, and our Onshore time is 7:30 a.m. at Civitavecchia. Can I expect to get off the ship by 7:45 a.m.? Need to schedule our van pick-up. I already bought the nonrefundable tix so I can't change my tour time now.
I remember cruising Alaska and at Victoria, DCL excursion people were held in Studio Sea waiting to disembark as a group (frustrating, btw) while others disembarked.
I didn't know if Disney did Med cruises differently, allowing certain passengers to disembark first. I read in another thread that DCL excursion passengers get priority tendering--but what about just regular disembarking (ie walking off the ship at the port).
Thanks!
We did the med in 2007 & Baltic in 2010. DCL does not hold up other guests for their tours. Once the ship is cleared any guests can disembark?

We did in 07. Booked everything on our own and still checked in
Oh that's good news. If the Onshore time is listed at 7:30 a.m., do you think (based on your experience) I can get off at 7:30 a.m. if we line up by say, 7:00 a.m.?

That's what we did.
It was really nice to be the second family in line.

2. Notify both your bank and credit card company that you are leaving the country. Take the number they give you to call for an emergency. (If you are using Bank Of America you may need them.. after an HOUR on hold they then 'forgot' to put the travel alert on the account. There's a reason they don't have any of my cash anymore )
