Does anyone know what time the Barcelona terminal opens to allow people in?

For any guys out there looking for a Ferrari driving experience in Monaco/Eze/Nice, I found this (there's a video):
Thanks! Dh would like this!
It's 11 a.m. However, when you arrive do not expect any welcoming partying like the ones in the US ports.
When we traveled in August 2010 for the Med Cruise, we wanted to show up early and it was very non-eventful.
We did the pre-registration for the kids wrist bands and pagers there.
Then, took our pictures and that was it.
So, we were onboard without the fan fare.
They did mention our name as we entered the cruise ship.
Lots of fun.
Does anyone know how much earlier than your reserved ticket time for the Vatican Museum & Colosseum do you have to show up?
So say, res at 10:00 a.m., pick up tickets at 9:50 a.m.? Or earlier? Or right at 10?
Also, if you stay in the Disney designated hotels, they will check you in at the hotel a day before and give your kttw card. Once in port, you can go ahead and board once allowed. I'm not sure if that will be the same this year but that's what we did in 2010.
Did you do Disney air as well, or just the hotel?
We have had that experience in Barcelona in 2007, in London in 2010, and in Vancouver in 2011. It makes it nice to get that administrative stuff out of the way.
I asked this in a new thread, but in case anyone is subscribed to this thread here is my question:
Did DCL allow all passengers to wait in line to disembark at the listed "Onshore" time (assuming the ship was cleared to disembark passengers), or were DCL excursion people given priority and private tour people somehow "held back."
SPECIFICALLY--FOR ROME---I have an early morning tour scheduled at 9:40 a.m. @ the Colosseum, and our Onshore time is 7:30 a.m. at Civitavecchia. Can I expect to get off the ship by 7:45 a.m.? Need to schedule our van pick-up. I already bought the nonrefundable tix so I can't change my tour time now.
I remember cruising Alaska and at Victoria, DCL excursion people were held in Studio Sea waiting to disembark as a group (frustrating, btw) while others disembarked.
I didn't know if Disney did Med cruises differently, allowing certain passengers to disembark first. I read in another thread that DCL excursion passengers get priority tendering--but what about just regular disembarking (ie walking off the ship at the port).
We did the med in 2007 & Baltic in 2010. DCL does not hold up other guests for their tours. Once the ship is cleared any guests can disembark?
Oh that's good news. If the Onshore time is listed at 7:30 a.m., do you think (based on your experience) I can get off at 7:30 a.m. if we line up by say, 7:00 a.m.?
We are staying at the Hilton Diagonal but we booked on our own and are not using Disney transportation. Can we still check-in at the hotel and get our KTTW card?
We did in 07. Booked everything on our own and still checked in
Fabulous. Thanks. I will keep my fingers crossed that it is the same this year.
That's what we did.
It was really nice to be the second family in line.
Hilton Diagonal is one of the Disney hotels. I don't see why you cannot check in once there. If they do offer the service this year, I don't think it will hurt to ask.
I am doing the 6/1 cruise and just finished reading this entire thread. Thanks for the good info.
A couple of things
1. I don't see the need to buy $1,000 from Wells Fargo or anyone else. I travel to Europe at least once a year and can't imagine why I would need that much cash in advance. Rule one should be NEVER carry more cash then you can comfortably lose. I would be very upset to be out $1,000 LOL! If you want to arrive with some cash there are change services in every major US airport you will connect out of. Then just use an ATM and withdraw from your bank account. The ATMs there don't charge fees. Any fees are up to your bank and some banks have an arrangement with others that gets you a 'no fee' withdrawal (or you could have a bank that doesn't charge for ATM withdrawals like mine)
2. Notify both your bank and credit card company that you are leaving the country. Take the number they give you to call for an emergency. (If you are using Bank Of America you may need them.. after an HOUR on hold they then 'forgot' to put the travel alert on the account. There's a reason they don't have any of my cash anymore )
3. You don't have to have a chip and pin card. The only things I "had" to have one for was renting bikes in Paris. Otherwise I did just fine. I have also heard that some trains have issues, but this appears to be more common in "less touristed" areas (and anyplace a cruise ship docks is "touristed" LOL!)
Now my questions..
For Barcelona I see the "onboard" is 5 PM but reading on here it sounds like they actually expect you earlier. I think we would rather spend time touring Barcelona then "on board" (we have done the ship before and hopefully I can book our Palo brunch at the 90 day window I think this trip actually moves me up a level on the DCL heirarchy I was thinking of DCL transport (we are at the Rennisance) but if the 5 PM on board really means that then I may see if I can just get them to take the luggage and go tour for several hours. (I expect they want to bus you there early as most folks seem more eagar to get on the boat)
if there is a little "astrick" next to the port on your Itineary, does that mean it's tender port? (Or any other clue what that might mean, it's typical Disney to put that there with no explanation! ) Never mind I found that on the booking engine, It does mean tending...
I admire some of your plans. We have very laid back excursions planned. Just a couple of things and then a 'cafe'. However, we did Rome, Pompeii, Florence, Pisa, Lucca etc in 2011 so we are just hitting the high points. For example in Naples, we aren't planning to leave the city.
I did just realize I booked late seating for dinner. My mother is going to kill me! Wonder if I can change it? Off to call and see
Thanks! Good to know. I'll have our transfer time for 7:45 a.m. but I'd love to get off at 7:30 a.m. and start my day. We were in a hectic rush as of our plans last night but I've decided to suck it up and rebook one of our tours eating some fees. Better to have more time than not, and frankly I got WAY too excited and booked something without considering Rome traffic
We'll be in Barcelona for 3 days...I wonder if I can just stop by the Hilton to check in (only half kidding)
Bank of America doesn't let me buy ANYTHING. Literally. I've had to ask airlines to hold airfare a few times in order to complete ticket purchases (and mind you, these are like crazy cheap sales where the fare disappears in minutes, like LAX to HNL for $280).
When buying my Disneyland APs, I first called for approval, did the transaction, got denied, got denied, got denied and finally had to keep the fraud agent on the phone during the entire transaction.
They also freeze my CC account whenever I do more than 5 internet purchases a day. So annoying.
