Okay. I think I found my answer.
It seems like most people aren't exactly sure about what will happen if you use a day on a ticket that isn't one of your FP+ days. But they mostly think that it takes about a day for the system to "refresh" and realize that you have an extra day of FP+s scheduled. So, as long as you add days right away it seems like it won't be an issue.
That's what I would like to do - just give it a whirl and see what happens. Our last day is MK though so....hmmm. I just realized that. I was thinking that AK was our last day. I don't know why I thought that. I'm going to have to think more about this.
This is assuming, of course, that things don't change with the hours at AK. I think I should maybe just do my FP+ as I originally thought and then as we get closer if the hours change, I can adjust.
Robo also said that not all the CMs will know to "price bridge" the tickets. We'll have to look up prices and know exactly what we should be paying. And if we don't get the right answer, go to the next CM at Guest Services. I hope it just works right away and we don't have to some how find a different CM to do it.
He also said that sometimes the CM in the ticket window outside of the park will be able to "price bridge" before you go in. And sometimes they won't. That would be handy because we would for sure not lose our FP+s that way.
Always something....

And a special shout out to any lurkers out there! I am one of you!

(also a huge Harry Potter fan lol)
In his defense, though, Living with the Land should not have that long a wait in Sept. And the posted wait time was 15min. And the queue is all in the open and back and forth back and forth. I don't know if it is FP+ or it's the spill over from Soarin' but I've heard that, in general, the Living with the Land wait times have been up.

So happy we're done!

I clicked on your PTR link from your post on my PTR

Both times our room was farther away and that was a good thing because it was really quiet. I'm also a bit leery about AoA. I've visited and walked the halls and we were able to see in to a few of the rooms while they were being cleaned and they are also LOUD in terms of theming. Loved the pool areas and the main building but the rooms are a bit much for me. I totally get how people would get a kick out of it but I prefer a bit more subtle in my Disney magic. So maybe just one night here too. And, if you do it that way, you knock down two resorts in one trip!
