Just got back this, from our first Disney Dream cruise. And it was amazing! We were in 5650 which was one of those extended veranda rooms at the end of the hall beside the Oceaneer lab exit. It was very quiet and the veranda was nice, but we just wished we had more sun on that side of the ship. Regardless, that cool northern wind made it tough to sit there for an extended periods. But I did have a nap out there one afternoon and we played a few card games with the 4 chairs and table that were out there.
While 5650 was good and quite. There was little foot traffic and so no one saw our FE. Yes we were late to the official DIS FE list, but we thought someone were see it and drop off something. So we ended up delivering some stuff to period who had their doors decorated on our floor and buying a couple of things to "surprise" the kids. In reality, I thought more people would have had a FE and decorated doors. As my DDs loved looking at that stuff. Regardless it was still fun to see when doing the detective cases.
Overall the service & food, which was in abundance, was great. Can't say enough positive things about the Oceaneer Clubs and its staff! With this being out first
Disney Cruise, we weren't sure what to expect when it came to club. But we now know its ok to do more adult stuff and book Palo the next time. As the kids will be well taken care off at the clubs plus they will be feed "kid approved" food. Stuck as cheese sandwiches with no crust, pizza and vegs.
As with any Disney trip, you learn what to do and not to do the next time. So we now have a better game plan for our April 2014 trip which is only 13 months to go!
