I don't believe there is a separation between bus arrivals and POV arrivals. You can get in from the two entries on the lower level and the one entry from the level 3 parking garage bridge. They all appear to open at same time.

Once you hit 10:30, you're correct. But at 10, the only people being let into the terminal are those who arrive on DCL transport.

We are already in a 4A, and I was hoping to grab an upgrade to a 1 bedroom at check in. Unfortunately the Disney site shows nothing available above a 4A for our cruise. In fact the only thing available are other Veranda staterooms. No inside or ocean view.

So this probably mean there will be no possibility of upgrade at the Port, correct?
Also, it probably mean our sailing is going to be loaded to near capacity, correct?

If you don't see the cabins available, it's not likely they'll be available at checkin. HOWEVER, it's always worth the try.

When is your sailing and what ship?

We drove our vehicle and were in the terminal about 10:15. Same time as the lower entrance was coming in. Which is both bus and other guests. Why would they differentiate?

MAybe they have changed things. It used to be a perk of getting there on DCL transportation.

We could also have taken a family deluxe for $1350, but chose the 1-bedroom. We had cabin 12000 and were spoiled for life. We would not have been able to book this cabin ahead of time due to cost, so this was a very nice upgrade. I think i was third in line at the time for upgrades. The cast member said he has not seen this cabin available before. i knew exactly which cabin it was and jumped at the chance. We loved the extra space and very large veranda. I did not find the location anymore or less rocky, but i did miss all those stairs i usually get in staying on deck 8...just saying!

Any port upgrades on the Dream lately? We are sailing July 1st and wondering what the current upgrades have been. Thank you!

1. Yes upgrade available (no concierge though)
2. Wonder - July 6, 2015, Alaska 7 night
3. Arrived at port 10:00am (no lines)
4. Initially paid for 9C porthole
5. Offered 5B verandah for $615
6. Took it. Thrilled as this would have cost an additional $2K for our family of 4 at booking time. We lived on that verandah during this cruise. Very worth it for us!
