I've been lurking for while, but just got the guts to join in and post
. Love your stories of your family's adventures! I have 2 younger brothers, and my parents' friends had ALL boys when I was growing up (seriously; two families had 2 boys each, one had 1, and then there were my own 2 brothers), so I love reading about their antics. I think I've seen it all!
It seems like you are having a great vacation so far. I give so many kudos to Sean for adapting so well to changes, both expected and unexpected, that seem to be happening in your trip. I'm so glad that he was able to join you folks for this family vacation
. My youngest brother had to stay home from several family vacations for various reasons, and it just wasn't the same without him.
Funny thing about crêpes; the one year that I had home ec class in junior high (yes, it was STILL called home ec waaaaay back then!), the first assignment was to make crepes. Ask anybody, and they will tell you that I'm just about the worst cook, ever (which is funny because my mother has her university degree in home ec and is the world's BEST cook!). My crêpes reflected that fact...let's just say that a) they looked NOTHING like the ones in your pictures; and b) no matter how hungry, and taking into account the fact that boys will eat almost anything, your boys would NOT have eaten them. Vive les crêpes!
Here's a message for Tyler (warning: I'm bilingual French/English verbally, but my written French is, well, quite rusty!):
Félicitations pour vos efforts à apprendre la langue française! A temps ce n'est pas facile, mais je crois que vous pouvez gagner un capabilité très utile.
Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip!
