Just back - Marriott Cypress Harbour

just wondering, how did you like Cypress Harbour? We'll be staying there for a week starting April 20th. Have always heard great things about the resort. I have kids ages 10, 8, and 6, and would like to be in a building close to the main pool & activities, but not on top of them. Any suggestions for building # requests? What were your favorite things to do at the resort? Did you eat at any restaurants that were nearby? Was it reasonable travelling distance to the Disney parks?
Enough questions already? Thanks for the offer!

HI JoAnn - We loved the ease of having a 2 bd/2 bath condo with 3 tv's, full kitchen & washer/dryer!! The 2 pools are fun for the kids and seemed like a lot of activities happening, but we didn't participate. EPCOT was a 10 minute drive from parking space to parking space at condo. We were going to stay at HIFS, but cancelled due to their swim diaper policy. I'm so glad we switched because this was a great family property with lots of space. There are lots of resturants fairly close by on I-drive (within 10 minutes). Try Bahama Breeze, Sweet Tomatoes, Cafe Tango TuTu (or whatever it's called). SeaWorld is s stones throw and they are still offering "2nd day free". Enjoy and if you have any other questions ... just ask!

How was checking in? Easy, difficult? Do you have to go talk to them one day and hear the spill to buy a timeshare? Where did you do your grocery shopping? Did you stay upstairs or down? Was it noisy? Sorry so many questions. We are going for a week in May and are so excited. Thanks for the info.

Hi, and thanks for your information. We will be leaving this Saturday for Orlando, staying at Cypress Harbour! I, too, am curious about where you did your grocery shopping. Also, did you see the BBQ's??? Where are they located? My DS will be celebrating his 13th birthday while there and we'd like to go to a fun restaurant. What was
Bahama Breeze like? Food type? About the condo, do we need to bring our own bar soap, etc? I know they offer maid service, but don't think they supply shampoo, etc, like a hotel. Many thanks from the Lone Star State!! :)

Checking in was a so easy...less than 5 minutes and the front desk staff was so nice. We paid nightly rates and were never asked about timeshare tours/purchases etc. With nightly rates you get daily maid-service. They did provide us with bar soap, bath soap, shampoo (neutigena spelling?) dishwashing detergent. We shopped at an Alberstons that was near Gatorland. I never saw any other supermarkets (but I wasn't looking) When we ran out of supplies we shopped at the convience store near the check-in area. They also have a Pizza Hut, TCBY frozen yougurt stand & sell crispy creme doughnuts (yummmmm). There are b-b-q grills located at the end of each unit block...saw some guys grilling one night...guess they bought charcoal up at the convience store. Bahama Breeze has a website I think it might be bahamabreeze.com but you can do a search. It's a fun place with heavy crowds/waits if you don't arrive by 5. Great drinks and fun caribbean cuisine. Take time to soak in your 6 foot cirular whirlpool tubs located in the master bedrooms...very relaxing. We were on the 2nd floor. Only heard kids running back & forth on the floor above 1 night. Can't imagine what the guests below our unit heard (probably a stampeed yikes!!) You might want to bring some laundry detergent from home. Enjoy your stay and ask if you have further questions.

I am so glad you left this post. We are going for 12 days in July. Now I am even more excited. The place sounds great. Last time we did a exchange it was to Westgate Vacation Villas, Not a nice place and the people were very rude. Tell me more about the resort are the pools as nice as they look in the pictures.

My family and I will be staying at Cypress Harbour for Two weeks this May (5th -19th). This is the second time we will be staying at this resort. IMHO you can't go wrong at this resort it is a beatiful resort, the staff is friendly and helpful. The pools are quite nice also. Plenty for the kids to do if you can tear them away from the parks. Enjoy your vacation, I know we will !!!
