Hey all, just back from a trip to SSR. This is a quick report, just want to post our thoughts.
We arrived at SSR around 11am, and had requested Springs. Room was not ready, which was surprising for us, every past trip we were right in. No biggie, we went to DTD. Our room was ready around 4, text system worked great for us. We had a dedicated 2br, room 4310, in the springs, close to bus, Artist Pallette and new Paddock Pool area. We were told room was not ready early because it had to be cleaned. First thing we found was old peperroni's and sauce in the utensil drawer. Ok, no biggie, we cleaned it. One thing I will say, if you are not used to humidity, and do not do well in humidity, DONT GO IN AUGUST. It was toture. 80 by 10am, with 100% humidity and 80% dew points. We had a couple days of nausea and hard time breathing. ANyways, the highs of the trip were Star Tours, PrimeTime Diner. Star Tours is amazing, we did it about 6 times. Amazing. Prime Time food was great! Its a MUST DO and we will do everytime now.
Around our 3rd day, I called and complained to the Mgr about housekeeping. We couldnt check in due to cleaning, but, we ended up finding used band aids under the bed, a used flip flop, a childs book with stuff on it, and vomit on the side of the toilet. We had to wait to check in because of cleaning and the room was horrible. Have not heard back, but, hopefully calling helps someone else staying there. Busses were great! They had monitors at bus stops who were watching wait times, and no trips were past 15 minutes. We bought a ton of vinylmations see them here http://www.d-cot.com/photos?func=viewalbum&aid=832
All in all a great trip, but, my advice, if you do not like humidity or oppresive dew points, DONT GO IN AUGUST. Oh, and it rains, every day, sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes for an hour or two.
Any questions just ask.
