Hello Everyone! This will be our 2nd cruise (last one was last year on the Dream, too). I was thinking of trying to get in on the Pixie Dust list, but want to know what that entails for me to do before I commit to that (what do we need to provide and what are typical gifts like)? Can you help? Thanks! There are 4 of us Me, Hubby, and 2 girls ages 7 & 5.

At the beginning of the Cruise Line Forums there is a thread DIS DCL FAQ's which contains an alphabetical list. Look down to FE (Fish Extender) and you will be directed to great FE info and ideas.

Usually they are small inexpensive or homemade gifts, many bring something notable from the area you live in (i.e. candies, magnets, etc)

For anyone who is trying to keep count of their FE gifts I came up with this from the above list:

21 Cabins - 83 Total People

26 Adult (males)
25 Adult (females)
20 Kids (boys)
12 Kids (girls)

llbowles - I wasn't sure of your 2 adults in each cabin so I added them as 1 male & 1 female in each.

If anyone came up with a different count - let me know (so I can fix mine)


Are we going to keep a list anywhere once on board (in the event someone upgrades to a different cabin). I read on another post that the keeper of the list posted it on their cabin door once everyone was on board with any cabin changes so everyone had a place to check before they delivered their gifts. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Also, a few folks have mentioned getting together at the beginning of the cruise to say hi (pre-sail away party, maybe?). That sounds like a great idea to us. Does anyone want to volunteer to organize a meet?

I'm headed to Hobby Lobby to pick up supplies to make FE and gifts. I can't believe we leave next week!

I would love to meet up. I also think it would be great for our kids to meet other kids. It would make it a little easier for them to stay in the Oceaneer Club if there were other familiar faces.

Hi all! I am so excited, we gave the cruise as a gift to our kids for Christmas. We were booked on a Greece/Italy cruise this summer, but due to schedule issues etc, we had to cancel, so we used our deposits to book this cruise! I am so excited!!!

We have been on 11 Disney cruises, including 2 on the Dream (we were lucky enough to go on the Inaugural Dream cruise!!!).

We have 4 older children (DD15, DS18, DD19, and DS20) and this was the only time we could fit in a trip with college break, school etc. .

The kids are thrilled, all of them have been on the Dream except my oldest! We will be turning 21 right when we get back, so we are celebrating his birthday on a new to him ship.

Have I mentioned how excited I am??

For those new to the FE and FE gifts, it is a way of spreading some joy to others. When you leave your cabin or return to your cabin, fellow disers are excited to find things in thier FE. It can be a small bag with candy, pencils, pens, home made creations, magnets, etc.; it doesn't matter. It is fun traveling around the ship delivering the FE gifts. People decorate thier cabin doors with all kinds of things (NO TAPE on doors, magnets only). The FEs themselves are interesting with everything from paper or plastic bags to embroidered three tiered FEs. Take the kids with you and make it an adventure. Make sure to check out our FE, I think it is pretty unique. Alex
