The Cast:
Me, 34 – Disney obsessed, Shopaholic & extremely clumsy!
Lee (DH), 35 – aka the Mad Hatter….
28th September 2009 = Day 21
We woke at 8am, got showered and packed the last few bits in our luggage. We got a bellboy to come and collect and store our luggage until later, we didn’t need to check out as our bill had been charged to our credit card. As we walked through the Great Ceremonial House we popped in the Arcade and played a few games of basketball and air hockey before getting a bus to Downtown Disney. We headed straight to T Rex for lunch and were seated straight away.
We were sat in the Ice Age cave:
We both ordered the Triceratops Filet, Lee had his with Rice and I had waffle fries and a coke each.
We both enjoyed our main course, for dessert we shared the Meteor bites which are donut holes with chocolate and caramel sauce to dip them in.
They were delicious!!!!
We paid the bill $79 + tip and then had one last walk around Downtown Disney.
We got the bus back to the Poly and retrieved our luggage from Bell services then sat on the bench and waited for the Magical Express bus. It was due to pick us up at 3.45pm, by 4pm we along with the rest of the people waiting asked Bell services to chase it up, they phoned ME and were advised it would arrive soon. Everyone was getting impatient as we had flights to catch, it had still not arrived by 4.25pm .
A cruise line bus pulled up to drop someone off and we asked the driver if he was going to the airport, he was after a drop off at the Grand Floridian and agreed to take all of us that were waiting.
We finally arrived at the airport at 5.30pm! Check in wasn’t too busy but I was really worrying about the weight of the luggage although it was all over they just checked us in as normal!
We went through security fairly quickly, we picked up some snacks for the flight and popped into the bookshop where I bought an Alaska travel guide to read on the plane.
Nothing like a bit of planning.
The rest was pretty uneventful, we boarded at 6.40pm and took off about 7.20pm, Lee had chicken & mash but I didn’t want anything (I really hate plane food), we both watched The Hangover (great film) and then had a little sleep. Neither of us had the breakfast, we landed at 8.20am, got our luggage fairly quick and managed to get ourselves and all that luggage on the bus to the car park. We were on the road by 9.30am and managed a very quick drive to my parents, taking only an hour & twenty minutes where we were greeted by two very excited doggies.
Well I guess, that’s all folks. I have enjoyed reliving the holiday so much through writing my trip report and would like to thank you all for reading and leaving such wonderful comments.
Until next time!
