I'M JUST SHOWBOATIN' AROUND THE WORLD! & getting pooped on. Jan 13 TR! NEW TR POSTED!

I just found your trip report today and read the whole thing;)

Thank you for sharing your trip with us, you too seem like lots of fun and enjoy the whole Disney experience.

We usually travel to Disneyworld once a year, but this year we were toying with just hitting Universal and legoland. Now I am itching to to go back to Disney too.

Congratulations on you DVC ownership!!!

We too have been researching and debating on DVC ownership ourselves.

Holy crap - I just sat here for like hours and read all of your TR thus far. I laughed until I cried at the pics from ToT & Dinosaur....I did get the side eye from the husband, but oh well! :goodvibes

so..I've been lurking around on here and decided to was time to register and chat, so I hope i'm doing this right. :wave2:

I love your writing style and have read all your trip reports! seriously--I think we could be best friends (except you look really young and i'm old enough to be your.....really cool older sister?)!I have to say your Disneyland report made me want to actually go check it out. we've never been very interested in going, but when I saw your pics of haunted mansion done up with jack skellington and crew, I knew we had to go! that looked way too cool!

your current TR looks so fun too! I loved the picture of Bruce and Amy planking outside your door. I think I would have fallen over laughing if i'd opened my door to that!

I just have to say one more thing.....has anyone ever said that Matt looks a little like Seth Rogen in some of your pictures? at first, i was like, holy crow, she's married to a movie star! but if he gets that a lot and hates it, just pretend I didn't say anything. :)

can't wait til your next update!

I loooove chicky chicky nug nugs, but chicky chicky parm parm is better. ;)

Space Mountain with the lights on is so cool! That happened to me a couple of years ago when I was on the PeopleMover. I agree... it definitely makes me want to keep my arms down though!

I need to explore the Contemporary more. I've explored at GF plenty of times, but somehow the other monorail resorts never seem to hold my attention when I'm faced with the choice of GF or other resorts. I like the others, but did the cast of Full House visit them? Nooooope! :lmao:

Hahaha, yeah, funny story about that. Aziz Ansari was doing an Ask Me Anything on Reddit once, so I asked if he said "chicky chicky parm parm" in real life. He actually replied and said no, but he did call sandwiches sammies! :rotfl:

Yeah, Space with the lights on is INSANE... and made me even more terrified of it, hahaha.

I was the same way, but I'm glad we spent time over there... but it's true, Full House cast spent the most time at the Grand Floridian, so clearly it needs lots of attention, ahahha.

Great update! :)

Thanks! :)

We like to call them... Chicky nuggies! Not sure where the nickname came from but we say it religiously.

My DH loves... I mean LOVES... The smell of the Contemporary!! Too bad about the cupcake, maybe on your next trip!

Hahahaha, I like chicky nuggies!

I have heard rumors that is uses the same scent as Beach Club.. but I didn't notice that at all! It smelled nice though!

I've never seen Cosmic Ray's without a huge crowd, yet we continue to go there. I'm not even sure why. We used to love it for the cheese sauce (fine tastes, I tell ya!), but then discovered other cheese sauce restaurants. I don't like the layout and inevitably having to go through at least two lines to satisfy our tastes, so it must be Sonny Eclipse that draws us there. He loves those crazy planets.

Soooo...uhm...yeah. I'm creeped out. I never want to see the inside of Space again. I'm not the hugest fan anyway, but that just didn't help.

Congrats on finding the five-legged goat first! Quite an accomplishment!:cool1:

"Marissa's cupcake," as I like to call it, is the huge draw of the Contemporary, besides being walking distance from MK. So sorry they didn't have it for you!:worried:

Yeah, it's kind of crazy... but there's so many places to get cheese sauce that aren't insane... Mmmmm cheese sauce.

Space is creepy when the lights on, see?! I'm not crazy!

Hahaha thanks... and yeah, I just wish they had that cupcake! It was sounding pretty darn good!

I love me some Disney chicken nuggets. No idea why. Maybe its because everything in Disney tastes better. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Wait, did I miss the "weird" MK experience or was that just the lights on in Space Mountain? :confused3

It's because they're seriously delicious! I LOVE Disney chicken nuggets!

Haha, it was the lights on! It really creeped me out!

First... Arrested Development Season 4!! YAY!! Plus loaded with Office alums. :cool1:

It's probably the big selecton that keeps Ray's so busy. You're right, it's almost always busy. Like CRAZY busy.

AHHH I love "Lights On" Space Mountain!!! It's so cool yet so weird to see. It's pretty unattractive really, just a mesh of steel and yet I still squealed when I saw it. It does make it a little scarier though...

I love the Contemporary even though I've never stayed there. When I was a kid, this is where we always went and (gasp) parked before it was a big deal. I'd never do that now certainly. So I've always had a fondness for the place. Plus it used to have a MASSIVE arcade.

YAY INDEED! We watched the entire thing in one day, psh, no big deal. Not as good at the original series, but still funny!

Yeah I think you're right about Cosmic Ray's! So insanely busy.

It IS unattractive, and thus creepy and scarier! But yet so cool at the same time!

Hahaha, that makes sense. Matt has mentioned that arcade in the past! It sounds pretty awesome.

Yay for lots of updates!!

OK...I have to say I just think Amy and Bruce are the best travel partners ever! They are so fun but also very chill and not at all needy. I would worry about traveling (especially to Disney) with people outside our little family circle because for ME I would worry about having more people to please or look out after but A&B were just so incredibly cool about it all!! :)

Nutella Sandwich...really? My oldest can eat the Costco sized HUGE jar of Nutella in record time. She must have this on our next trip. I had never heard of this little treat!!

We are HUGE people mover fans, too!! Actually in our trip in 2010 at the beginning of the trip it was still the TTA and by the end they had changed it back to the Peoplemover. I was lucky enough to have taken pictures of it as the TTA not even knowing it was changing!!

Hahaha, they were fantastic travel partners! We really hit our stride during this day with them, in terms of no one really having to worry too much about what we were all in the mood to do! It was great!

OMG, it's so good! You have to have it!!

That's so funny they changed it MID TRIP! Hahaha, but gosh, it's such a wonderful ride to go on. I wish I could be on it RIGHT now, zooming through a lit up Tomorrowland... Sigh. Just over 3 months!!

I seem to remember that Space Mountain used to break down a lot. I know when I was younger, we used to ride the Peoplemover to see if it was up and running and what the line looked like.

Haha, that's so crazy! Good way of finding out though!

Oh my gosh about the lights on in Space Mountain.

I can't ride that ride anymore because I am so scared of getting decapitated. I hate dark roller coasters because I am scared of something coming loose and then knocking my head off!!

Like the signs in rock n roller coaster?? what if a screw came undone! How do they know if something is wrong?? Scares me!!!

Haha I'm with you! I mean, it's obviously safe, but it scares the crap out of me!

AHHHH now you're freaking me out! Like Final Destination stuff. :scared1:

Wow oh wow, I LOVE that Nutella waffle! What a yummy treat. I'm surprised you were kind enough to share it with your husband-- I would never share that with someone! *My preciousssss*

Yup, so with you! It was hard to share it, I'm thinking next trip I'll have to make a meal out of it, hahaha. ;) I LOVE YOUR LOTR REFERENCE! High five for that.

OK, just getting onboard with this TR but just wanted to let you know I LOVE when you say Whompwhomp! :) It always makes me laugh. OK, back to reading!

Hahaha, I'm glad you enjoy my wompwomps! I say it a lot in real life, so I had to put it in here, too!

I think it is so cool that Matt is learning to play the banjo! I ally like banjo music! It is a lot of fun!!

I get my peanut butter cupcake at Starring Rolls. They always have them.

We go to Columbia Harbor House for nuggets- much more relaxing.

Yeah! He doesn't play it as much as he'd like to, but I love when he does!

See, I knew about that cupcake, but this one is a different chocolate peanut butter cupcake than the one at Starring Rolls! Plus, I can't get anything but the Red Velvet at Starring Rolls!

Yeah, we usually eat at CHH! I have no idea why we didn't that day, now that you mention it, haha.

Sad face on the peanut butter cupcake:( They sound delish! Yay for seeing space in the light-I also hold on tight in fear...no arms up for me!!!!!

Super sad face, but maybe next trip! And yeah, I'm not letting go until that ride stops! Hahaha.

I have to agree, Cosmic Rays is always busy!! I think it’s just because there’s so many options of food, and it’s the only thing really on that side of the park, Casey’s is pretty limited, the noodle station is never open…who knows?! I do really like the sandwiches they have there, yum!

Oh my gosh I WOULD DIE to see Space with the lights on!!!! I definitely don’t put my hands up on that ride, and defeinitely wouldn’t after seeing it with the lights on haha.

I don’t give the contemporary much love, I’ve always thought it was kind of boring looking. I do like the idea of an MK view room in BLT though!

Yeah, I just need to remember to stick with CHH when I want some chicken nuggets! I love that place.

Hahaha, yeah, it was super neat to see it all lit up... but also slightly terrifying.

Yeah, I agree! Even Bay Lake isn't super appealing to me... aside from the view of MK from a room though! That would be delightful.

Finally all caught up! :goodvibes I love both Matt's watch and your D&B bag! It is funny because when you mentioned you got the one with HM on it, I was looking forever for it only to remember how different WDW and DLR's HM is. :lmao: I am definitely getting a lot of info for my DH and my first trip in January and this TR is making me so excited! Have you ever been to WDW in September? My DH (also named Matt :)) and my anniversary is in September, but we decided since January is our favorite time to be at DLR that we'd probably have the best trip to WDW during that time. So in September we are going to be taking a quick trip to Disneyland! :cool1: Looks like we both have September to look forward to! Looking forward to more updates. :)

Awesome, so glad you're caught up!! :) That's so true about the DL vs. WDW Haunted Mansions... they look so different!

We have only ever gone in January! This is going to be our first time going in September... and I think crowd-wise it'll be fantastic... but weather-wise, it's going to be HOT. Just means LOTS of time at the pool!

The only bad thing about January is the possibility of having a cold snap... oh, and the tour groups! But otherwise it's great, and we love going then!!

Nice that both of us have trips to look forward to in September! :goodvibes

Finally all caught up after being MIA for awhile. Too much to comment on since I was so far behind but I will say that seeing rides lit up is creepy to me too. Especially seeing Space! Just doesn't seem as "sturdy" :confused3 but it's cool too because it's like you are seeing something top secret! ;)

No worries! My time has just been sucked away by work and other stuff lately, so my DIS time is super limited! I'm trying to make sure I'm keeping up though with my TR so people don't think I forgot!

But yes, you nailed it on the head! It just seems less safe for some reason, but SO COOL at the same time!

Yayyyy for lighted SM pictures!!! So awesome! And creepy at the same time. Lol.

I loooove the smell of the Contemporary but we stayed at BLT the last time we went to WDW and they smell the same. You definitely have to explore BLT. It is so awesome and I would defnitely recommend staying there. We had a castle view room and it was amazing watching Wishes every night from our balcony.

Hahaha, exactly, cool but creepy!!

That's good to know about BLT! We'll have to try to check it out during our next trip... and how awesome that you had a Castle view!! Darn awesome view of the fireworks!

Hi Dani, I just subscribed to your TR & also began reading your 1st PTR. I am going thru Disney withdrawal & began reading TRs to help cheer me up! Thanks so much.

AWESOME! So glad you're here and this is helping with the withdrawal! :goodvibes Disney withdrawals are the worst. :(

Catching up from the middle of April! Though I'm so far behind, I love that I have a bunch of updates to read all in a row!

Ooo, I gotta go back and watch your video again especially now that you explained the "Don't. Talk. To. Me." thing and the dancing! I really love Disney videos of people I "know." They're so much more fun than the others!

I love how you guys got the Buzz and Woody hats because "Matt's honestly [your] best friend." My husband and I are best friends too, and I know a lot of couples say that, but there aren't many where I actually BELIEVE it. It is totally believable with you and Matt. You guys are so perfect for each other based on what I've read on your TRs and what you've posted on IG and Twitter. I love seeing just how much fun you guys have together and how you can enjoy life in every moment and not just the Disney ones. Plus, you guys are also nerdy and geeky as are we (I'm the nerd, and he's the geek cuz apparently there's a difference that I didn't know until my hubs explained it to me!), so I love it even more! Haha, and I mean nerdy and geeky in the most endearing way possible because I tell my students to embrace their nerdy and geeky side too!

WHOA, your picture of the Hitchhiking Ghosts is awesome!!! I just recently posted a picture of the stairs like Escher's Keep that we were able to get because we stopped on that portion of the ride, but your ghosts are way more impressive! (And now I just saw your photos when you went on it again and stopped many times!!! I had to show my husband too because we would love to be able to get more pics there!)

I too love MSEP! It's the music that gets me. I have a strange fascination with baroque music and anything with the harpsichord. I think if I had the chance to learn the harpisichord as a child instead of the 6 years of piano lessons I took, I would've stuck with it! When I had to take a core class in college that was on music and the arts, we had to memorize paintings and classical music. Being able to pick out Bach's stuff with the harpsichord was always the easiest because I loved it!

So glad you were able to ride Dinosaur! It's one of my FAVORITE rides! Haha, it's just the right amount of thrill for me. When I hadn't ridden it in a while, I screamed my head off each time that darn dino raced towards us or roared. My husband was laughing SO HARD at my reactions because they were like, extended screams because I was so surprised! And NO ONE ELSE in our vehicle was screaming!!! Your ride photo is definitely one to be remembered!!! Haha, I can't believe Matt was looking RIGHT at the camera!!! And you are absolutely adorable with your expression despite being super scared. I find it very difficult to sit on the outside of these rides, haha.

Reading your dining review when Remy pops in for a visit, and I thought, "Oh, I think I'll watch Ratatouille while I clean today" as I've been watching Disney movies on Saturdays as I tidy and organize. I looked up at the shelf and DO NO SEE RATATOUILLE. I want to wake my husband up (it's 6:30am right now) and ask him why it is not one of the many Disney DVDs he (or should I say we~) own!!!

The bird crapping on your arm experience would have been even better if the CM gave the American Dream to you for free!!! Ugh, what a horrible thing to have to deal with! So gross.

Ugh, what difference does it make whether you decide to spend your hard earned money on some nice gifts for yourselves? I would think that the CM should be like, excited that you guys were getting it! It's not some random souvenir that you just pick up and obviously thought had to be put into deciding to buy it. That's irritating. I know people who work at Disney also have bad days, so I know they're not always going to be chipper. But even if ya can't be extra pleasant, you can still be polite! Haha, but Snow White is right and all.

I took a nap in the middle of reading your trip report because I fell asleep at 9pm last night and woke up at 4am, haha. So for the remaining updates, I didn't really comment because I came back still half asleep. I did love them all though!

Okay, this comment was epic! Hahaha, I'm glad you caught up though!

Hahaha, I'm with you on the video thing! And I kind of watch our video whenever I feel sad... soooo you should, too! Plus then you'll get the reference.. It's at the very end with the "bonus material".

Aww thank you so much!! I'm really glad we BOTH found our best friends, you know? It's REALLY a rare thing that people find someone they love so much who is their best friend... Seems weird, but it's true! And OMG, trust me, we're both huge dorks/nerds, and have no shame on that! :rotfl:

Thanks! It was hard to get good photos but those ones really worked out well!!

MSEP is awesome and I totally jam out to the Baroque Hoedown whenever I need a little happiness in my life. The harpsichord is super underrated!

Hahahaha, Dinosaur was traumatizing... YET I actually had fun on it!!

YOU NEED RATATOUILLE! And now I really need to re-watch it! I think we're going to do a Disney/Pixar movie marathon before our September trip!

Yeah, it would have been nice if he'd given me the drink for free, but I was just glad we could laugh it off because it was GROSS!

I have no idea what the lady's issue was... but she was a crabapple! I'd never had a CM be that weird before... but like I said, HATERS GONNA HATE! :rotfl:

No worries! That was the biggest comment I think I've ever gotten, so you did a pretty good job catching up and commenting. :goodvibes

Awesome! So glad you found me and you're enjoying it! :)

We love Disney, it's truly our happy place, and I love sharing it through writing TRs!

Ahhh, you have to get a little Disney in there! You might be sad if you don't.. just sayin', though I'm a little biased!

Thank you! We're still working on the process but it'll be worth it in the end! It's such an awesome way to visit Disney World/Disneyland!

Holy crap - I just sat here for like hours and read all of your TR thus far. I laughed until I cried at the pics from ToT & Dinosaur....I did get the side eye from the husband, but oh well! :goodvibes

AHH AMAZING! I am so glad you enjoyed it and that I made you laugh so hard with my ridiculous photos, hahahaha. Glad you're here!

so..I've been lurking around on here and decided to was time to register and chat, so I hope i'm doing this right. :wave2:

I love your writing style and have read all your trip reports! seriously--I think we could be best friends (except you look really young and i'm old enough to be your.....really cool older sister?)!I have to say your Disneyland report made me want to actually go check it out. we've never been very interested in going, but when I saw your pics of haunted mansion done up with jack skellington and crew, I knew we had to go! that looked way too cool!

can't wait til your next update!

Aww yay! You're doing it right, and thank you for commenting! I'm so happy you've enjoyed my TRs, and that you've read them all!

Haha, well, I'm 28, almost 29, so I'm not TOO young.. We'll go with really cool older sister! :thumbsup2

Disneyland is FANTASTIC! I highly suggest visiting at some point! It's amazing to see where it all started, and Christmas time is a perfect time to visit!

Hahaha, I about almost fell over when I saw them planking! It was hysterical!

OMG, your last comment! I read it to Matt and we both started laughing really hard... because a LOT of people tell him he looks like Seth Rogen! He's lost 100 pounds over the past few years and got glases, so he definitely looks like him now. I'm married to a movie star, I guess! :rotfl:

Chapter Thirty-Six: Didn't you hear? Strollers need their rest, too!
Day 6: January 22nd, 2013

As we left off, we were hoppin' on the monorail!

The cars were pretty full, but we just chose a random one and got on... to find a family who apparently thought their STROLLER NEEDED ITS OWN SEAT.

No seriously, we had to stand because these people thought this was okay. And yes, I took a photo of it.

file_zpseda959e9.jpg

SERIOUSLY, I love Disney, I really do. But sometimes people are just so self-involved and inconsiderate of others, it just blows my mind. These people had plenty of space to put their stroller somewhere else, even keeping it not folded. I shot them some not-so-nice looks as we zoomed over to Epcot, and tried to just ignore them.

After we got off, Matt made a comment that the stroller must have been feeling EXTREMELY rested because you know, strollers need their own seats on the monorail.

I was really happy to be entering Epcot in the front gates! When we stay at Beach Club, more often than not we're going in through the International Gateway.

As many of you know, my love for the International Gateway is infinite, so I really do love it. But there IS something special about walking into Epcot through the main gates and seeing Spaceship Earth right in front of you.

file_zps0f0cf968.jpg

file_zpsc92f128f.jpg

It's just perfect and I was so happy. I take joy in the little things, I guess.

file_zpsf07e88f1.jpg

Obviously Spaceship Earth was calling our name, so we decided to go for a spin!

file_zps486a68f5.jpg

file_zpsc85f4ef6.jpg

file_zps8514a904.jpg

file_zpscbea76d5.jpg

We made absolutely terrible faces for our photos like always. It'd be a rarity if we'd just smile for once, but no, that is NOT how we do Spaceship Earth.

file_zpsdc76610f.jpg

I also think the system thought I was a dude and Matt was a lady, based on the clothing choices for our little future selves... but who knows?

file_zpsb378fc16.jpg

After Spaceship Earth, we needed to go and visit Nemo and Friends! It'd been WAY too long, and we knew Bruce and Amy probably wouldn't be interested in going on that one... so we went on ourselves.

file_zps22fb03f5.jpg

file_zps644ac5a2.jpg

Can I just state how much I love this little guy at the end?

file_zps807f8272.jpg

Side note: While we were on our trip a few weekends ago in Cannon Beach, the tide went out and there were a TON of tide pools nearby... and we found a lot of Starfish! Anyway, this one made me think of the Peach, the Starfish from Nemo.

starfish_zps53eb728d.jpg

Okay, side story over. Nemo was adorable, as usual.

We obviously darted right over to visit our manatee friends. They're so cute, I could sit and watch them all day.

file_zps9a593e09.jpg

Then we decided to look at some fish! I don't get how people can skip this area, it's all pretty awesome!

file_zpsc07a7e08.jpg

This seahorse was just zooming around and I thought he was pretty.

file_zpsb3176a17.jpg

Most of my photos came out like poop though, plus I was just too busy enjoying the fish!

We headed back through Canada and England, stopping for most PhotoPass photos on the bridge to France... I absolutely love that spot for photos!

file_zps0803df8b.jpg

file_zps6b37a651.jpg

Bahaha this photo is so ridiculous. I don't know why we chose these faces. I think we went with, "Silly faces that don't terrify the photographer or those walking past us".. while normally we're more the type to make horrifyingly ugly faces. These ones I'd consider pretty tame!

And obviously, this one had to happen:

file_zpse50b8c03.jpg

So we continued on back towards Beach Club, just talking about our day so far and our evening plans, when suddenly I saw, walking right in front of me... RAPUNZEL!

She was heading kind of towards the International Gateway, and stopped right along the fence to meet people! Obviously I figured this was a perfect time to meet her, since there was only one other family ahead of us. It was kind of adorable though, because she grabbed this little girl's hand and they walked together and spent time talking.

I figured that this had to be a character in training, but she was SO good with that little girl! It was too cute.

Now, as I mentioned in my intro for this TR, I'm not really comfortable with face characters. Maybe it's because I'm an adult and have no idea what i'm supposed to say, but yeah. I got over this fear a bit when we met Jack Skellington in Disneyland, and he was absolutely terrific to talk to.

But my anxiety started to come up a bit again because I was meeting Rapunzel alone, since Matt wanted to take photos instead.

BUT! She was fabulous to chat with! I asked her how Eugene was doing, and we chatted about him, and Pascal... and she asked me if I also hit Matt over the head with a frying pan to get him, hahaha. I thought she was a fantastic Rapunzel!

file_zps98e1a755.jpg

Unfortunately the other photos he took, I look like poop in, so we'll just stick with one. Plus the photos are just us chatting about life anyway... because ya know, Rapunzel and I are old buddies apparently.

We said goodbye to Rapunzel and continued on back to our room for a little mid-day break after a nice mini-visit to Epcot!

Later, we spend some time in Downtown Disney, deal with farting people, and I get mistaken for being a CM... Just the usual for us.

Continued in next post

Can I just state how much I love this little guy at the end?

My favorite line: "TAKE ME WITH YOU! I mean, it's a cute song and all, but they just won't stop!"

:rotfl2:

You can't possibly be more awkward than me when meeting characters. I basically snap a photo and move on. :upsidedow

So....my mom is terrified of seahorses. She thinks they're freaks of nature. I'm sort of ambivalent about them...they don't freak me out, but I'm not their biggest fan. Of course, after my trip to the local aquarium this weekend, it's been decided that really, I'm not a huge fan of anything in the ocean, which is why I choose to only wade to my knees. But then again, I think I can also attribute that to the time I was at the beach with my dad, and literally EVERYONE around us got stung by jellyfish. I made a hasty retreat.

I LOVE tidepools though. And your picture is AMAZING. Seriously, it looks like it could have come straight from Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

I'm with you on face characters. I always feel awkward, so I usually end up saying hi, then snapping a pic, thanking them, and walking away. I do interact with Pluto though, because, well, it's Pluto and he's amazing. And generally saying "you're my favorite character" gets a good response.

I can't wait to hear about you being mistaken for a CM!! Sounds hilarious.

I LOVE when "adults" get excited to meet Disney characters! LY my brother went with us to WDW mostly to appease his wife & my kids, but the Disney magic kicked in at breakfast at Tusker House. One of my favorite pictures is of him grinning ear to ear, posing with Goofy. You have that same joyful, childlike smile in your picture with Rapunzel...just beautiful!

Hi Dani - I found your DL trip report about a month ago as I was preparing myself for "Disneyland in a Day" trip and although a lot of it was in the rain, it helped me so much! I enjoyed your report so much, that I've moved onto your WDW report (my home away from home). Your photos are AWESOME! Now, that I'm all caught up with this one and now I'm moving on to your older ones while I patiently wait for more updates! Thanks for keeping them coming :)

That stroller thing would have irritated me so much! I don't like to be confrontational (especially on vacation) unless it is really warranted...but I might have had to say something on that one. The thing that bothers me the most is that these people are setting an example for their kids that this is acceptable behavior, which means that new generations of jerks are being perpetuated every day!

I share your love for the IG. We stayed at Yacht Club when I was growing up and I thought getting to go in the "secret entrance" to Epcot (which has always been my favorite park) was pretty much the best thing ever as I assumed we were one of a very few people "allowed" that way.

Sometimes DH and I will park at Boardwalk for dinner then walk over to Epcot just to go through the IG.

Looking forward to your story about dealing w/ farters!

My, doesn't that stroller look comfy?

Dani, taking joy in the little things is what it's all about. Good on you! :goodvibes

Haha, so based on “Spaceship Earth Presented By Siemens”, you will now be "Dan" and "Matt-ilda".

I have to say that I get completely enamoured by seahorses. So weird but yet wonderful.

Hey, strollers must get tired too carrying that 9 yr old all around WDW :rotfl2:

I love meeting face characters but I'm socially awkward so I always leave feeling like a fool. Plus, I feel weird when I put my arm around them to get in the picture :lmao:

Hi there! :wave2: I do an *embarrassing* amount of stalking around here, but this is the first time I've ever posted! Just had to tell you that I'm absolutely loving your TR -- SO FUN! :) Reading it has definitely helped curb some of my sad-I'm-not-at-the-World spring/summer angst.

I skip character meet and greets because I never know what to say to them! I know that the face characters are trained with probably a bunch of stock conversation starters, but I get way too nervous about things like that. I'm an introvert even in these unrealistic situations! I do, however, love reading about them and seeing what the good ones say!

As card carrying member of the Stroller Brigade, I do apologize for the lack of consideration from some of the other members of this organization. :sad2: I try very hard to be conscious of my surroundings when DS is in his stroller, but unfortunately not everyone does. And really, you only need the tiniest drop of common sense to realize how rude it is to take up spots with your (EMPTY!!!) stroller on the monorail when other people are left standing!

Anyway, I love your PP photos from the bridge and your random encounter with Rapunzel! princess: I used to be terrified of meeting face characters too because of my awkwardness in conversation (and that was only reinforced the first time I met one...Snow White! :scared1:), but having a kid makes a great buffer. :thumbsup2 :lmao: They mostly talk to DS and I just have to answer for him when he is pretending to be shy. I'm hoping now that he is a little more verbal, he will actually talk to the face characters when he meets them, but we shall see.

I have only come into Epcot once through the IG, and I have to say, the main entrance is pretty majestic! Nice SSE pics, and faces hahaha. I love the pp spot on the bridge there, so pretty!!

Ah, Rapunzel!!! How awesome!! You know, sometimes the ones that are training are just better!! I met Ariel in Mk in Nov and she was just plain bad, saw her the next day training in Epcot and she was amazing!! Maybe it's the whole "new to it" thing?

I'm caught up, YAY! Okay, for some reason even though his twitter name is radiant BANJOIST I didn't even think about the fact that Matt plays. I'm really smart sometimes. But that's so cool! My dad plays too and I grew up listening to bluegrass and such. I love it.

Currently crying over the loss of my cupcake.

(And it is not the same cupcake at Starring Rolls. Trust that. ;))

WHAT IS IT with people and strollers that think they run the freaking world? I can't even tell you how many times this past week I had to literally jump out of the way so I wouldn't get run over. SO annoying.

YAY Rapunzel! She sounds awesome!

what the freakin what is going on with that stroller?!? we use one now that we have kids and the first thing we do with it on the bus or where ever is fold that sucker up and keep it out of the way! that is crazy business right there!!

I love your seahorse picture! so cute--they just fascinate me!

I forgot to tell you that I also watched your video--it is a-mmmaaa-zing, the music is perfect and I love it!! you did an awesome job on it.

i'm so glad i'm not the only one who thinks Matt looks like Seth Rogen! I have a friend who's husband reminds me of Jack Black and I was starting to think I was going nuts thinking everybody's husband was famous!! :rotfl: tell him way to go on the weight loss! I lost about 100 pounds several years ago training for a half marathon. when I was done, I was so burned out on the gym, I quit going, gained some back, got married, had a couple kids and ended up weighing more then when I started. now i'm losing again finally and am up to about 64 pounds lost, so I understand what an accomplishment that it is--good for him!!

the end of your last update really intrigued me--can't wait to read the next one!
