DAY 4, TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 10, PART ONE
I woke up at 6am thanks to my phone's alarm (I didn't bother setting a wake up call after it went wrong the previous day). I was still pretty tired and my feet were sore, but I got a shower, ate and headed to the bus stop. On my walk there I said hello to a little friend.
I saw a bus arriving as I walked up, but for the second day in a row it left just as I got to the bus stop. I took a seat and waited. And waited.
After about 17 minutes I saw a MK bus pull up and decided to hop on it. No, I wasn't going to MK for a third day in a row, I was going to Epcot. But since I had never ridden the monorail from MK to Epcot I thought I'd do that. Well, as we pulled out of CBR I realized I made a mistake, I was on an AK bus, not MK!
When we stopped at Blizzard Beach I got off, figuring I would just grab an Epcot bus from there. The EMH started at 8am and it was already 7:45am at that point. To make matters worse, about 2 minutes after the bus pulled away I realized I had left my camera sitting on the seat. I quickly called WDW's help line and was connected to an extremely helpful agent. She got all the info I could give her about what the driver looked like, time, where it was going, etc so she could try to contact that driver. While I waited for a call back I stood at the Epcot bus stop, waiting once again. After 25 minutes of standing there with no Epcot bus in sight I saw a TTC bus pull up. I told him what was going on and he radioed in. They didn't have any Epcot buses scheduled to come there for a while still, so I got on the TTC bus to got back to my original plan of riding the monorail to Epcot.
As the bus pulled into the TTC I got a call back from WDW guest services. The driver found my camera when he pulled into AK, so they were shipping it over to CBR for me to get later that day. So, I would be out of a camera for the day, but at least they did have it. So, phone pictures it was for the day!
The Epcot monorail pulled up after just a minute or two, around 8:32am.
The ride was nice, though I was still upset with myself for getting on the wrong bus, then leaving my camera. We pulled into Epcot around 8:45am, and there was almost no line to get in. Thankfully the crowds were low that morning, despite the EMH. I stopped at the first PP photographer I saw and he used my phone to take a picture.
And two from his camera
I took one SSE and fountain picture myself...
...then kept going into the park. I headed into the Land pavillion, expecting a line for Soarin' since the park had been open for almost an hour already.
Instead I walked directly into the holding area and was immediately placed into a first row spot, with lots of empty spots around still when they started the video. It was a great ride as always, though the spots on the film are starting to bother me a bit. They do need to clean it up some, though I don't want them to refurb it while I'm there!
After finishing my ride over California I walked next door to Living with the Land. It had a 10 minute posted wait, but no one was in line so I got right on a boat with a couple of other people and that's it. No pictures on it since I wanted to save my battery life!
It was about 9:30am when I got off, and I was feeling hungry for my favorite QS park breakfast, Sunshine Seasons! I ordered the adult Breakfast Platter, and it once again did not disappoint!
After eating I got back into the Soarin' standby line, after grabbing a FP. One I never used though. Despite the park being fully open for 45 minutes by then the standby line was still less than 15 minutes.
