Hi ElaineMc.

Yes, they're so "Jewish." Let's try to thaw some conversation out of that religiously mixed couple, the icebergs, instead...

Cruising with Verandah Man and family...

I feel honored, we're looking forward to cruisin' with you too BD, and all the other DIS'ers that will be on the 8-21-04 sailing. My dream would be that the Page Family would be able to cruise with us as well!!!

Good morning DeeAnn.

You have GOT to come to New York! If you loved waiting on line for pictures right before dinner, the Long Island Expressway during rush hour will rival sex...

You aren't going to believe this, but my husband and I actually spent our honeymoon in New York 12 years ago! And honestly, there is no way in the world to even compare an experience on the Long Island Expressway to waiting in line for Disney photos. Heck, you can't even compare it to spending Christmas Day............................in the Magic Kingdom.......................................at full capacity...........those New York drivers are just plain crazy! </f> :D
Now all you New Yorkers out there.....I say this with love. I have to..........I have family in New York.

Have a great day BD!

DEEANN...It's funny you say that, but being a NYer, I always say that we are the only ones that know how to drive. When I drive in FL. I get so frustrated when I get to the tolls (and there are many of them in FL.) And people don't know how to merge. We were with a real estate agent one day and I got to the point out of frustration and fear (LOL) I asked her do you want me to drive? LOL

This is all in fun people, please NO flames. Ya know kinda like when BD tells us about the south. All in fun.

MJASP,
Nevada was our 7th state in 8 years, we have moved quite a bit with my husband's job. And, heavens!!!! People just don't know how to drive anywhere!!! Nevada isn't much better........you just end up driving with drunks at all hours of the day. The casinos never close, so you have to be cautious no matter what time it is!
Back to New York drivers, I wasn't stating they can't drive. Just everything is so FAST there!! How are you supposed to keep up?

Ok.....so this stays on topic,
I have some more "most looking forward tos":

The opportuinity to spend a day at sea with my family! We didn't have that option on the Wonder.

Disney Dreams!!!

Watching my son get excited over "FREE ROOM SERVICE"!
He was in disbelief the entire cruise!

Walking into the lobby of the Magic for the first time!!

Going to the shows, The only one we saw was Disney Dreams.

Also, doing the classes (tours) dessert making, wine tasting. Makes me realize how much I missed the first few days on board.

Joanna

Do you have to make reservations or get tickets for the classes? If so, where do you do that?
THANKS!

Wine tasting I think you do, but I'm not sure. I didn't do any of that stuff on our last cruise. I do have alot of catching up to do.

Anyone? I would like to know the answer to that one.

Joanna

DeeAnn - during our August 16th Western cruise, no advance registration was necessary for any of the cooking classes. However, the wine tasting was reservation only.

What does DH do, help little old women cross state lines???...

DeeAnn

PS - my cousin and his family live in Las Vegas. "Buckaroo" and I usually visit once or twice a year. Their home is in the northern part of the city limits with a picture-perfect view of Mt. Charleston. Took the hardhat tour of The Hoover Dam pre-September 11 - in those days entry into the depths of the dam were allowed. Of course, I joked with "Buckaroo" about taking the dam tour, purchasing some dam souvenirs, eating at the dam restaurant and - my favorite - not losing sight of the damn dam tour...

He works for a furniture company. He opens up new stores for them across the country. Thank heavens we are no longer required to move so much. Being here for 3 years feels like eternity, but we do love it!
