I Can! I Can Stink at 9am! A January TR - 3/8 New TR Link!

It is always fun to ride the PeopleMover at the MK. I am still sad that DL took away the old PeopleMover and replaced it with Rocket Rods and haven't brought anything back yet.

Those are very nice pics of Calvin when growing up from IASW.

After seeing that your DH didn't have a FP+ for the 7DMT, I will have to be very careful and look at it closely to make sure that my party has the ride/show on the FP+.

Sorry to hear about both of your health and hope you all get better.

I'm glad to hear there is a bit of progress on DH's ear, but sorry to hear about the two of you and your stomach issues. I'm going to hope the little guy hasnt' been sick with anything during all of this.

Yes, my dear, you can admit to being addicted to caffine. It happens to the best of us.

I miss you.

Hello DIS friends! Sorry for slacking off but life happened :crazy2:
Hi!

Totally get it. Life has been happening to me lately too. Been way too busy for the Dis!

I've always had stomach issues and 2 Thursdays ago they had started up again and finally saw a doctor that following Tuesday (our 9 year anniversary, BTW! :faint:) who diagnosed me with IBS-C, which I knew I had since I was younger. Anyway, that was fun times.

DH had an appointment with his ENT Doctor to run tests on his hearing. Still no inflammation in the ears, which is good. Now he's hearing 4 out of 20 words instead of the 1 out of 20 from March. Progress!!! :cool1: He'll be going back every 3 months to check up. Funny, one of his coworkers (actually, one of the brothers that was left out from the movie McFarland - if you haven't seen it, you must, so good!) has the EXACT same thing. Got extreme vertigo and can't hear out of one ear. He just recently got it not too long ago so he's in the very early stages, so is hearing nothing. So strange :scratchin:confused3

Then, for some insane reason, when my stomach issues were happening, DH's Ulcerative Colitis was acting up and we decided to do a Juice Fast Cleanse......NEVER. Again.:rotfl2::faint: We had been watching several documentaries on Netflix over the Summer on food and thought we should try a 3 day cleanse. It was rough! Had a headache the entire weekend from no sugar or caffeine (had no idea I was that addicted?? I'm lying yes I did but didn't want to admit it :snooty:) We actually started on his 32nd birthday, which is sad. No cake or food. Just juice. Aside from headaches, starvation, no energy and sleeping all day, it was good :lmao: I'm actually thirsty in the mornings craving juice so we'll continue juicing with meals from now on. I was staying away from the DIS purposefully, knowing a lot of threads I was subbed to have some good food porn.

Will be playing catch up over the next few days :goodvibes
Wow. Just wow. Sorry for the DR. visits for both of you, but glad things are improving for your DH. I just can't figure out what I should say about the juice cleanse so I guess I'll just say that you brought it on yourself, so I can't be too sympathetic! :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: Now you'll know better the next time you get some crazy idea. :thumbsup2

Super late to your reports, so I'll just sum up all my comments with this: Calvin is adorable, your writing style is hysterical (in a good way), love the report, hope all your guys' health issues come to an end soon. Can't wait to read more!

actually, one of the brothers that was left out from the movie McFarland

That was an awesome movie...how cool that he knows the guy! Sorry about your stomach issues and his ear issues...hopefully you are both on the mend.

Oh my. Sorry to hear that both of you have not been feeling well. That's such a bummer. I am certain I could never make it through a 3 days juice cleanse. That sounds like torture. :faint:

Hope you both get back on track and feeling well really soon.

Oh no! That sucks!! Hope you are feeling better!
But Happy Anniversary! pixiedust:

Yikes that's awful! My dad suffers from extreme vertigo, hearing loss and tinnitus so I get how horrible it can be (he can't fly or look up much beyond eye level) but its good that your DH is starting to make some progress. Ears are weird, weird things!

Oh no, watching those food documentaries never ends well! :rotfl: I couldn't do a juice fast, I literally have NO willpower! :sad2:
Plus....I love sugar...and food! I'm sure you would never have guessed that! :lmao:

Will be playing catch up over the next few days :goodvibes

I know that feeling! ::yes::

I too have been crazy busy. I read your updates a few days ago but didn't have time to comment, besides I was on my phone. Now I'm commenting from the phone because I've come to terms that I won't be on the computer again for a while!

Glad DH's hearing has increased, but sorry it's not by much. You did bring the juice cleanse on yourself, I couldn't ever do something like that. I know I'm addicted to caffeine. Sugar, I can take it or leave it, but sorry you felt icky as a result. Hopefully life calms down a bit for all of us!

Glad you're feeling better and for good news about DH. I really hope his hearing keeps improving.

So... I'm going to be rereading your TR from when Calvin was 1 because we might be taking a short trip to DL in April! Bobby's friend is getting married in Huntington Beach and the wedding just got moved back a week and is now attached to my Spring Break. I'm trying to convince Bobby to take two days at DL and DCA and he's not really into it (as expected). He thinks it will be a waste because Ryann will only be 11 months but I say she can definitely have fun while we're there, and even though she won't remember it - we will! Wish me luck in convincing him, I'm definitely going to need it!!!

OMG - That reminds me of the time that I was in a QS line at Pizzafari and the man in front of me asked for the ingredient/allergy book. Have you ever seen one of those????? Seriously?????? :faint: And instead of stepping off to the side and letting a few other people order he held up the entire line. It was SO painful. I'm so glad you were able to find amusement in your line situation, because I was NOT......

I haven't actually! Oh my gosh I bet they are really big! :faint: Never encountered that yet, but I have a feeling I will one day. See, I think like you, and i'm sure many others - stepping out of line to look through it.

That play area in Dumbo must just be a kid magnet. It looks perfect for toddlers. What a great distraction - that is until the buzzer goes off.

And it's definitely a nice place for parents to sit down for a sec :thumbsup2

I have no doubt you will make it to BOG in plenty of time!

::yes::

Watching Calvin walk through the line is just too cute!

He's so big! And just now I dropped him off for his first day of Preschool!!!

I hate those kiosks. I would want to scream if I had to do my FPs at the kiosks everyday instead of doing them online. Thank goodness for MDE. It helped me tremendously during my trip, and my friends were very thankful! ::yes::

Those kiosks kill me! I have another picture coming up of one of the lines and it was way too long.

Such a cute selfie! SO nice and clear and you got the castle perfectly in it!

I didn't think I had gotten the castle in the back when I was taking it, but it turned out nice!

Adorable.:goodvibes And yes! That would be a great picture to recreate, when he's older. maybe even each time you go to Disney, you would have a lot of pictures, but it would be cool to see how much he rows in each of them! I have done that type of thing with pictures with my family, its always fun t look at.

Great idea! I'm going to do that now thank you! :goodvibes And i'll stop when he's 30 :rotfl:
One of the greatest Christmas films, ever. :cool1:

Absolutely! I put it on the 24 hour channel every year it comes on. When we go to DH's parents house to open gifts, I always change the channel to that and his FIL gets annoyed :lmao: We can watch war shows later, today is Christmas! :rotfl2:

I still haven't seen this yet. I have been to the world twice since Ne Fantasyland opened, but I still haven't experienced the new Dumbo area. It looks and sounds so cute though! My friends and I joked about trying it, but since we had only one day at MK, it was sadly missed.... Hopefully I will be able to do it the next time I am there.

Aw you should have! I would totally if I was with friends or the hubby, and the CM's won't bat an eye at you for doing it either. It may look awkward though if you try to go down the kiddie slide, so maybe don't try that

Yes, I know their kind. :sad2:

:sad2:Luckily it was my only encounter this whole trip!

But seriously, that would have been majorly frustrating! I would have possibly been huffing and puffing, arms crossed.

In my mind I was :rotfl2:

My favorite kind of People Mover shot!

Heck yes! :hyper:

I know Small World is a love or hate thing...we love it! We did get stuck in the "goodbye" room for quite a long time on our last ride so I got my fill of that song at incredibly high volume!

I love it for DS, but hate it for me. During the Christmas season at Disneyland, it was super busy and all the boats were filled up and it seemed like they had added more boats for the amount of people coming through the line, so going through the ride itself took FOREVER because it was bumper to bumper, hardly moving anywhere. Pure torture :rotfl2:

That play area is great! I wish that more of the "kid" rides had a set up like that. So perfect for families!

They really do! It is the perfect addition for a ride. I know because of space they can't do this, but for any future rides, they really should consider doing this.

Love the pictures of Calvin growing up. What amazing memories to have as he gets older and older.

Seriously cool ride pictures.

And what a shame about having to wait.....for reserving a FP+!

Thanks PIO! He really is getting so big, time does fly. And just this morning I dropped him off for his first day of Preschool! Then I thought, "he's too little for this!" :rotfl2: but that was just the emotional side of me.

Seriously though, doesn't that sound ridiculous?! I'm waiting in line, to reserve a spot, to ride a ride. :confused3

Oh, wow... :faint:

:furious: Oh, I'd be so frustrated...

:headache:

You gave that CM the death stare when they said that, didn't you?

When the CM said that, I just looked to the ground and opened my eyes super wide, in disbelief and shock, like you really just didn't say that did you? :scared1: Yep, the whole situation was frustrating. But this could be avoided if they let us make that FP on the app :confused3

It never fails... I'd move lines and get stuck behind something even worse. Once you're committed, you might as well stick it out.

:lmao:Oh my gosh, glad i'm not the only one.

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Of course you wanted to see them succeed. You're stuck waiting until they do!

:rotfl:You're right! But I was trying to find something positive out of this mess and that was the only thing I could come up with

You know, we had this situation where not all of our bands were scanned a few times as well, but we never had a problem making the 4th FP+. It was always after our window was closed for an FP+ that somebody didn't get scanned on, so I'm not sure if that is why it worked or not, but it didn't seem to be a problem for us.

You'd think that would work when a window closes, but it didn't in our case. Of course right?! :lmao:

Wow, those shoes must stick out after dark. :rolleyes1

I have many shoes that are brighter than neon highlighters :rotfl2: I guess that's the thing now. Being dull on top and party on the bottom:thumbsup2

Wow... you really started him off early! I think this must have been before I found you on the TR boards.

I thought you were around this time? But yep, I started him off as early as I could. At 6 weeks we took him to Disneyland as a trial run, to see how it would be when we took him to WDW a few weeks later. I found out things that worked and things that didn't. It really did help with WDW, surprisingly!

Really though I was using that as an excuse to go to Disneyland :teeth::ssst:

Um... you never know how big he'll get... :rolleyes1

I think you're gonna need a bigger boat.

True, but I can't go back on my word! I'll just have to grow stronger legs ::yes:: And I do believe they upgraded the boats at DLR a while back to accommodate larger guests, so this will work for our photo:thumbsup2

It is a cool system. I like the fact that there's a way to keep the kids distracted while you wait, even though we've never really used it yet.

It is the best! It's dark, cold and there are seats :hyper: A parents oasis for sure :thumbsup2

Great update. I loved seeing the progression of time with IASW. Even though, I detest that ride!

I forgot how great the PP was until we rode it together. I need to go back next trip. Which is in two weeks :hyper:

The angry old lady story was too much. I'm amazed they were even trying to get FP+ with that much difficulty. Whew!

Too fun in Dumbo, love it!

:lmao:I'm with you Pam. Like I told another poster, I love IASW for DS, but not for me.

How was your trip?! And why don't you do TR's anymore?!

They were seriously determined to get those FP's. And I don't blame them, it's obviously the way to do it nowadays, instead of waiting in SB but they were trying to get with the times, for sure :rotfl2:

The whole situation is totally laughable!...when it's not you.:sad2::rotfl2:

Say what?? It's a journey into the future!

DM is what you call, stuck in the old times. Doesn't want to change with the times. Perhaps she was one of those old ladies at the FP kiosks and I just didn't recognize her :lmao:

Ok, you're not allowed to rip the Peoplemover and then request IASW. I'm calling a violation here.

:lmao: For reals!:thumbsup2 Ridiculous.

Oh i'm doing it Mark. I'm sure we'll all be around here for another 20+ years, so wait for it :thumbsup2

OMG, been there, done that with the "short line" UGH!! :sad2: In Disney World, but especially at the grocery store when you already have all your stuff unloaded on the belt!

YES! The store is a great example. I actually don't do the shopping anymore (PS. Yay! :hyper: that is so not my favorite thing!) but my thing is when i'd get into what appeared to be a fast moving line when the person directly in front of me says, "Oops I forgot the ...." and they ask either one of their kids or an employee to go get it :confused3:furious:

Awww, I know just what you mean about DS being able to walk through the queue. It's the little Disney milestones that make the whole experience!

Totally! And i'm glad I captured it all on camera to have forever :goodvibes

DS looks like he is having the best time in the Dumbo play area! I love that, I hope they do that with more of the queues for the Fantasyland rides. It makes waiting to ride SO much easier for little kids and their parents!

It is so so nice to have that play area. It gives everyone in the party a small break. And it's in the AC which is a huge plus when it's hot :thumbsup2

Sounds like a smart plan! :thumbsup2

I'd think so!...

:rolleyes1:furious:

Gee thanks CM! :rolleyes2

I couldn't believe she said that. I know it's her job to be helpful, but couldn't you help ME by moving these ladies along their merry way!?

When-We-Kept-Waiting-Birth-Announcement.gif

I'm pretty sure this is how I looked on the outside

bored.gif

But really it was like this

crazy.gif

Well there is Pirates...of the Caribbean...and....nope that's it! :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl:

Yes! That's the line jinx curse! I have that too ::yes::

I'm just glad i'm not alone

Those kind of ladies be scary! :scared1:

1.gif

AT least Blanche looks approachable! It was more like this

angry-old-lady-o.gif

In your DM's defence it does just go round and round! :rotfl:
But since Peoplemover is the best thing ever she is still wrong! ::yes::

Definitely wrong!

That photo is epic! Perfect castle placement! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

She doesn't like Peoplemover but she loves IASW???

giphy.gif

I don't trust people that like IASW but not the Peoplemover :scratchin What are they hiding...

Awwwww! Look how big he's getting! :goodvibes

I hate it :sad2:

You should totally do that!! ::yes::

Like this guy!

639f4b766427ca305d021e73b661e23a.jpeg

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

YES EXACTLY LIKE THIS! I'm going to make him wear the EXACT same shirt too. It may just fit around his neck at that age, but we'll make it work.:rotfl2:

:rotfl::thumbsup2

:scared: Oh no! I think we've all been there in some way. Hate it when there is a good reason that nobody is in that line. :headache:

I should have known better. I've lived long enough to know that there is a short line for a reason.

It is pretty funny. :rotfl: And you actually did answer all of my questions! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2::rotfl:Glad I made it easier for you!

Well, I hope they don't start making the person with the Rider Swap scan their band too. That's what we count on to "split" our FP+ selections, especially the Tier 1 rides (i.e. - I can get Soarin', Dug can get Test Track, then we each get a swap).

You guys are really smart to do it that way. Hmm, that would cause some issues if they did start making you scan. Wonder if they would just override it in that case?

Wow, these kids are just growing up WAY too fast! :faint: It doesn't seem that long ago that you and I were talking about their impending births and so much has changed so quickly since then! :sad1: Izzy saw some baby pictures of herself today and thought they were SO cute. :lovestruc But she is VERY clear that she is a BIG girl now. ::yes::

Oh my gosh I know! I was telling DH that I have known you since before our kids were born and that we've 'grown up' together as parents. So crazy that they are almost 3 now:sad: BTW, I dropped DS off at Preschool today:sad2: Luckily, it's just right around the corner from my work :thumbsup2

While this was definitely funny I would have totally lost my S on them. Or at least unleashed a slew of passive aggressive comments that I'm sure they and their paperwork would have loved. You should have asked to take a picture with their vintage phones ; )

I DIED at the bolded!!! :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:I can't stop laughing

I thought as long as the time passed you could still get the 4th fast pass. Is that not the case?

I thought so too! But it didn't work for me. My luck right right? :headache:

Ah, what romance

Oh my gosh, imagine if they sold alcoholic beverages. How amazing would it be to circle Tomorrowland with a glass of bubbles?!:worship: Or a beer, or whatever floats your boat, which in my case would be all of the above!! :cloud9:

These pictures are amazing. How special to have them all and now watch DS literally grow up with IASW.

I can't wait to add more pics to the lot :goodvibes

We love the dumbo waiting area too, though they've never actually used the buzzer when we were there. They give them to you but they serve no purpose. Either way, we go through the same thing as my daughter thinks we're the worst parents in the world dragging her away from fun to ride a ride. How horrible are we ; )

Little do they know that they're going to have more fun riding a flying elephant! Or maybe some don't?:rotfl:

I loved all your pics of DS from baby to now...so cute. Amazing how that happens huh? I too don't "get" anyone "not" getting the Peoplemover lol..it's one of my faves. I mean...I know it doesn't go fast or anything but...so great...you can always get on...great views....anyone can go...what's not to love?

:rotfl2:The Peoplemover is one of my top favorite rides that needs to be done a few times every trip. It's just a must. I rode it all the time when we had it at Disneyland and when I found out it was still at WDW, I was SO EXCITED!!!

Aww, that was so thoughtful ;)

I do what I can :rotfl:

Oh my gosh... I could imagine myself in your shoes feeling incredibly frustrated! I don't know if I would have been able to restrain myself from just doing it for them.

I really, REALLY wanted to help them, to help me:laughing:

Doesn't it go around and not do anything? :sad2: What it does is be the best ride ever!

:lmao:

Good job getting the castle in the background!

Thanks I wasn't sure I had gotten it in the background but I did pretty good! ::yes::

 But actually...I do really enjoy IASW

I like it because DS enjoys it. But pre DS, i'd just ride it to pass the time or because there was no line.

He's so big and grown up! It must be bittersweet for you.

Totally! I keep telling everyone, but today I dropped him off at Preschool! I was excited for him though because he needs to be around more kids. Not excited about whatever bugs/colds he'll be getting from now on though :headache:

Looking at how cool it looks in there from your pictures, I was wondering if kids don't want to leave when it's their turn to ride!

In DS's case, he didn't want to leave!

ME TOO. Especially unecessarily.. Like, there wasn't even a ride/attraction at the end of this wait!

Exactly! Which is why i'm so not a fan of the kiosks! I can't wait until they give us the option to make that 4th FP from the app.

This is me EVERY TIME I'm in a line-choosing situation  this story cracked me up...

:rotfl2:I'm so glad i'm not the only one who chooses badly.

...Well, when I say this story cracked me up, I also raged, hard.. it was an emotional roller coaster :furious::lmao::furious::lmao::furious:

So many emotions happening, I can't deal

I actually laughed out loud at this :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

:rotfl::lmao:

If there was ever an award for the best dressed couple's feet, you would win. :thumbsup2

I love bright shoes! They make every outfit much more fun.

Oh wow, these 4 photos together are amazing! When I started reading this update I didn't think it would be in for such a roller coaster of emotions!

glass.gif

But up until he's 29, it's totally fine :rotfl:

Yes, anything over is so not acceptable!

Aww best friends :cutie::cutie: so cute!

I love when they just make friends with everyone!

I was so far behind and I'm playing catch up. I'm still cracking up over the Jasmine episode.

Jill in CO

:rotfl:Jill! Yep, something i'll always remember :lmao:

Happy belated anniversary!

Thank you!

Glad to hear you DH is making progress on their hearing ... certainly better than the alternative - that is odd though that his co-worker had the same thing

It is very strange that someone else is experiencing the exact same problem. But i'm very happy he's getting slowly getting better:goodvibes

I've always thought about trying a cleanse ... I mean, the idea of eating totally healthy and exercise just isn't really my bag - but taking 3 days to undo the booze and bad food I eat the other 362 days seemed like something I could do :rotfl2: .... though guess that might not be worth it based on your experience

I couldn't even exercise during the cleanse! You're not really supposed to. Plus you have absolutely no energy. It sucked. Truly. :rotfl2:

I wish you and DH good health!!

Also, Yes! I had seen it when it came out in theaters, it was a great movie!

Welcome back!

Thank you!

It was such a good movie!

Sorry to hear that you were not feeling well, but good news it is something you already knew about (even though it seems it didn't bother you lately).

And I am glad to hear that your DH's hearing problems seem to get better. Hope it clears up completely.

And yeah, the cleanse. :rolleyes1

Tried it once, but wasn't very successful. :rotfl2:Another teacher at our school did it every year for a week and it sounded not too bad in the beginning. She was only drinking herbal tea - every day another one. Yikes, they were horrible without any sweetener and I felt SICK :crazy2:, really sick after two days. Went back to regular life then. Life's too short to suffer through horrible tea. ;)

I'm getting an ultrasound done in a few weeks to check out a cyst that they had seen on an ovary and am getting my thyroid checked to see if that is causing any of my stomach issues.

Wow only tea!! :scared1: Yep, couldn't do that either. Within the first few hours of the cleanse, DH got a really bad headache and wanted to throw up. I thought he was being a sissy, then hours later, I got a massive headache that lasted all night and all day the next day. I was like, why are we doing this? We're not happy! So we ate pizza :rotfl2:

Sorry about your stomach issues, but happy about your DH's progress! It's great that this is coming along.

I feel you on the food thing. I have been low carb for 21 days now and the first 14 were SO HARD. I was really cranky.

BUT it SOLVED my STOMACH ISSUES. Like solved them. DONE. This leads my Doctor to believe I am gluten intolerant. BOO HISS BOO. I don't know what I am going to do about eating on my Disney trip. Eat whatever and risk some not fun times in the bathroom or eat carefully and miss out on some favorites ( BUT ICE CREAM IS GLUTEN FREE SO JUST EAT ALL THE ICE CREAMS??? )

Woah, low carb is no joke. My life revolves around carbs! But yay that you can eat ice cream!!! I've always wanted to take an allergy test to see if i'm allergic to something (I know I have to be!) but I also don't want to find out cause I still want to eat everything I see! :rotfl2:

Ugh. Sorry you guys have been suffering so much lately!

Thanks, it always seems to happen all at once to us at least once a year :headache:

4 > 1. So yay!

Any progress is great at this rate! :hyper:

Wow, that is really weird. Wish I knew what the answer was.

I wish the Doctor knew what the answer was:rotfl2:

Oh my goodness, McFarland was so good!!!! I was pretty much sobbing at the end when the not thin brother pushed himself to the limit. I can't call him fat, he wasn't fat... How cool to know one of the brothers. That story was just fabulous.

I'm sorry about the diagnosis, but good that it wasn't a new thing. Still not fun to have an official diagnosis. Did the doc give you any suggestions of how to manage it?

Any progress with DH's hearing is progress, that's fantastic news!!! Hopefully it continues to get better.

The story is incredible! DH was saying that there was never a 'fat' brother but the writers felt like the movie needed that. :confused3 But pretty much everything else was spot on :thumbsup2

I have to have an ultrasound in a few weeks to check out a cyst that she had seen on my ovary (not related to stomach issues) and then I just took bloodwork yesterday to check my thyroid to see if maybe that is what is causing some issues. So we'll see what happens! For now lots of Colace, which is what i've been doing all along.

Man, you all have really been through the ringer lately. Hopefully things are on the upswing for you and hubby both. Happy Belated Anniversary.

Thank you! Yep I feel like once a year, something always happens to the both of us at the same time.

Sorry you've both been dealing with health issues lately (though glad DH's hearing has improved). Hope you're both feeling better! :goodvibes

We are both feeling better! (well, at least I am, DH won't ever feel completely better, I guess:confused3) Thank you! :goodvibes

Hiya Bret!

I've always been sad that they removed the Peoplemover from DLR! Seriously, they need to bring it back. It's already all set up, they just need to update it! That surely can't be that hard on their end or even cost that much. Wasn't there a petition a while back about trying to bring it back? Or maybe I made that up in my mind and hoped that someone made one :rotfl2:

Thanks, we're both feeling better now :goodvibes

I'm glad to hear there is a bit of progress on DH's ear, but sorry to hear about the two of you and your stomach issues. I'm going to hope the little guy hasnt' been sick with anything during all of this.

Yes, my dear, you can admit to being addicted to caffine. It happens to the best of us.

I miss you.

Nope, luckily DS hasn't been sick from anything. I'm always saying, I bet DS is going to be 'regular' because I have IBS-C and DH has Ulcerative Colitis giving him the runs. DS will be the only one with the normal bowels :rotfl:

I miss you!!!! But excited for you come February! :hyper:

Hi!

Totally get it. Life has been happening to me lately too. Been way too busy for the Dis!

Wow. :thumbsup2

This life stuff is not the bizz. But i'll be finding more time now that DS is in Preschool! and  at the same time.

We totally brought that on ourselves. It was the WORST thing ever. I don't recommend it :rotfl2::rotfl:I hid the juicer in a cabinet far, far away :thumbsup2

Take care. Sorry that you've both not been 100%. Hope everyone feels better.

Thanks PIO :goodvibes

Super late to your reports, so I'll just sum up all my comments with this: Calvin is adorable, your writing style is hysterical (in a good way), love the report, hope all your guys' health issues come to an end soon. Can't wait to read more!

Aww welcome and thank you! :goodvibes

That was an awesome movie...how cool that he knows the guy! Sorry about your stomach issues and his ear issues...hopefully you are both on the mend.

I'm feeling much better now thank you!:goodvibes Wasn't that movie great?

Oh my. Sorry to hear that both of you have not been feeling well. That's such a bummer. I am certain I could never make it through a 3 days juice cleanse. That sounds like torture. :faint:

Hope you both get back on track and feeling well really soon.

That cleanse was terrible. The juices itself weren't bad, it was the fact that I was always hungry no matter how much juice I consumed. But never again. :crazy2:

Oh no, watching those food documentaries never ends well! :rotfl: I couldn't do a juice fast, I literally have NO willpower! :sad2:
Plus....I love sugar...and food! I'm sure you would never have guessed that! :lmao:

I know that feeling! ::yes::

Oh my gosh, your poor dad! I thought it may have been Tinnitus but the DR said no. Kinda wish it was just so we could diagnose whatever this is.
Yep that documentary totally reeled me in as a good idea. Such LIARS!!!! The sugar thing is what was bugging me. As soon as we were done with the cleanse, I made cupcakes. And made donuts last week. And will be making a chocolate pie here shortly :rotfl2: Gots to have my daily sugar!

It seems everyone has stepped away from the DIS for a bit, but glad to see people making their way back :goodvibes

I for sure thought coffee was going to be the easiest to give up as I gave it up when I was pregnant for the first few months. But this really hurt me on the cleanse. That headache was no joke!

Glad you're feeling better and for good news about DH. I really hope his hearing keeps improving.

Thanks Heather! :goodvibes

:banana::cool1:party::wave::woohoo::jumping1::jumping2::jumping3:

I think I used all the good emoticons!

Oh my gosh, I SO HOPE that you'll be able to make it! That would be such a fun age where she won't be really scared of the characters so great for photo ops, but she'll still be sleeping a lot (or at least, my kid did!) so you two will be able to do a few things yourself and relax and eat :thumbsup2 You must report back when you get the OK from Bobby! :hyper:

I'm sorry that you and DH are not feeling well. And that juice cleanse...would not work for me! No birthday cake on your birthday?? Hope you're on the mend and feeling better soon!

Just back from our trip, it was fabulous!!! It rained every day, but we still had a fabulous time. Life has been so busy, I've been doing tons of overtime at work and my days seem to get longer and longer. I'm usually at work between 12-13 hours and when I get home I've got to get my exercises in. I lost my oomf for TRs. But I'm sure I'll get it back. Thanks for being interested :) I'll try to do a picture TR, I made sure to get step by step pictures this time so it would probably be easy.

Hello DIS friends! Sorry for slacking off but life happened :crazy2:

Oh jeez, sorry to hear about your stomach problems :flower3: But I hope you still managed to enjoy your 9 year anniversary! Congratulations!! And I'm very glad to hear that Dan is making some progress :goodvibes

And I totally did a sugar cleanse a couple of weeks ago too! - I genuinely feel like I had full on withdrawal symptoms, it was horrific :crazy2: I feel your pain! I guess summer is the best time to do a detox, I could never do it in the winter. My house may as well be made of chocolate around christmas time  I hope you're both doing well!

I'm sorry that you and DH are not feeling well. And that juice cleanse...would not work for me! No birthday cake on your birthday?? Hope you're on the mend and feeling better soon!

:rotfl::lmao: That's exactly what DH said! He always has it bad on his birthdays it feels like. In 2012, he needed to get a Colonoscopy and the only available date during his Summer vacation was on his birthday  Poor guy. But don't worry, he's had his fair share of naughty foods the past few weeks to make up for that nasty cleanse.

Wow your days are super long! Glad that your still working out! How's the progress? Well you let me know if you do a TR please :goodvibes

:rotfl::lmao:Your right, we chose the best time to do a cleanse! There's no way that would happen in the Fall and Winter. Too many amazing Pumpkin treats and chocolate desserts! :hyper:

Magic Kingdom!

I Kicked Someone! And it wasn't DH.

Once we got off Dumbo, we walked around the New Fantasyland area when I noticed that the train was going to be leaving the station, so headed over in that area to see if we could get a good spot to watch it leave.

DS loved watching it go by! He now has a huge love of trains and has a couple of train sets at home.

It was a really nice day out

And you can’t see it in these pictures, but to the right is a Service Animal Relief area that I’ve NEVER noticed before! Not sure why I’m telling you this, but I just felt compelled to :rotfl2:

As we were walking towards Liberty Square, we saw a PP Photographer so took the opportunity for more pictures. So we get in the designated spot and this guy comes in right behind me to lean against the fence :confused3

So I may or may not have ‘adjusted’ my footing so that I was more comfortable. AKA, I lightly kicked him in the ankle :rotfl::blush: You can see the ‘after’ picture where my foot’s on the ground. Yes I’m ornery. :snooty: But he didn't even notice. Or care, I guess.

This next picture cracks me up. DM needed to use the restroom so we stopped off at the ones by Gaston’s Tavern. And the man “who has biceps to spare” was out taking pictures. Look at all the WOMEN!!! Holy moly!

So if anyone can remember, I had made FP’s for Pirates of the Caribbean (not Pirates :rolleyes2;)) so that’s where we were headed. But first a quick stop at the Tangled waterfall

And on our way over to PotC, I saw this line and wondered what character everyone was in line for. I quickly realized what it was for and snapped a picture

It’s the stinkin’ FP Kiosk line! So ridiculous. Major con to this system.

Anyway, we still had twenty minutes before our FP window but I wanted to make sure we got in ASAP so we wouldn’t be late for our BOG dinner at 5:15pm. To pass the time, we watched the Captain Jack Sparrow show, with no complaining from me

And during the show, DS was being so lovey and cute, I had to get video of it

So we waited and waited for our window to open up when about 5 minutes till we could get our bands scanned, 3 CM’s stood in front of the entrance letting people know the ride was temporarily down and wasn’t sure when it would be running again :headache: Not only did I spend nearly 10-15 minutes waiting behind those ladies to make this selection, we waited almost 20 minutes AGAIN to get in line and it’s closed. We did end up hanging around for a few more minutes just in case, but it never opened.

Well, at least now I knew we were going to be on time for our BOG dinner. Back to where we came from

Magic Kingdom!

Be Our Guest Dinner

We got checked in and passed the time by taking pictures

I love everything about this area

Then it was time!

I was hoping and praying we wouldn’t be eating in the West Wing. Anywhere but the West Wing! I could barely see my food the last time we ate here. I'm becoming a bitter, old lady. Did those older ladies in the kiosk line put a curse on me?!:scared1:

And was very happy that this is where we were headed

And look what I got to sit underneath!

We were handed the menus

I don’t remember seeing the rose napkins at lunch. Maybe dinner only?

Bread service

My boys love their bread

I, of course, knew I needed to have my first alcoholic beverage ever in the Magic Kingdom and went with a beer

And I ordered something I NEVER order in restaurants. Like ever!

Chicken! I hate ordering things that I can easily make at home, but this was the only thing that sounded good at that moment. DM got the same thing.

DH ordered the Braised Pork

and it was our first time trying the Mashed Cauliflower. Not too bad! The pork was really good though, should have gotten that..

I love the ‘enchanted’ cabinets that revealed the CM’s computers

Then this was happening during dinner. Gross! Look familiar? @Captain_Oblivious

I rushed him to the restroom to change his diaper and on the way back to our dining room, we got stopped by a CM to wait a second while the Beast makes his grand entrance (Cause we were in the main walkway that he was taking), and I’m thinking, this is not going to go well with DS. The Beast is coming towards us and I’m pushed up as far to the side as I can go with DS. The Beasts waves at DS and DS smiles. What. The. Heck! He’s not okay with characters that he sees on TV all the time, but bring this massive, literal beast, and he’s totally cool with it?! That did make me excited though for the picture with the Beast after dinner :hyper:

Back at the table, the dessert cart came by

And I declined :faint: Why?! I bought something earlier that I was totally stoked about eating for dessert and wanted to save my appetite for it :hyper: DM did end up ordering herself an éclair though.

When dinner was over, I wanted to look at the Grand Ballroom again, in particular, check out the Christmas trees they had up.

Where I got a decent picture of DS!

How adorable are those ornaments?!

There was no line to meet the Beast so we got to see him right away! But DS had already changed his mind about liking the Beast  So DH and I got to meet him.
