Huge mistake made..bb fantasmic pkg. what would you do?



I saw no one answered your question about lining up with a regular fp and unfortunately, at least during the summer, people start lining up an hour or so before the listed return time, making it a two hour wait. And since there's no "official" line they can (and have) changed how they let people in and you can get screwed over even after waiting early.

I did answer. :) There was a line when I went a couple of weekends ago. We went through the turnstyle for the Mark Twain, and there was a line to be seated. I got there around 8pm with my daughter and nephews, and we just missed the cutoff for the seated area, and ended up first in line to stand at the railing behind some low bushes. We had a great view. For the seated area, I recommend getting in line around 7:30.

Just curious what are the options for the food for RBT? I am considering maybe eating here but of course you can't see the food options on either place and also if anyone would know what the food options for BB are that would be great too!! For adults and kids

Here is a link to a blog with pictures and options. I don't know if Riverbelle Terrace offers anything different because I also had the steak & shrimp. It was delicious.

I think I would attempt to book an alternative. We were very disappointed with our BB reservation, but LOVED the Fantasmic arrangement. Only a very few tables have any view of the Pirates ride (the ones right along the rail). We requested one, and after an hour of waiting, got one a row or two away from the railing. It had no Pirates ambiance at all.

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear you didn't get what you expected. That would disappoint me to. I wonder they forgot you wanted a waterside table or if they consider a couple rows away waterside?
 
I would do as a previous poster suggested....
1. Keep your BB reservation.
2. Get Fastpasses for Fantasmic early in the day and hold onto them.
3. Ask if you can be upgraded to the dinner pkg for Fantasmic when you go to BB for your reservation.
If they upgrade you awesome! Give your FP's away. If they don't upgrade you, you still have Fastpasses :)

We are going to be there too! Our ressie is for 4:30pm.
I suspect it will be quite crowded for Dapper day.
I'm so excited for our 1st visit to DL and our first time dressing for Dapper Day.
We've been at WDW during Dapper Day but never dressed for it before.

I did the BB F! package in March. We arrived about 20min before our reservation so we could wait for a waterside table. We put our request in, they gave us a pager and told us not to wander too far away. I think we waited about 30min for our pager to go off. They then escorted us to a table that WAS NOT directly waterside, but one row back. My mom was LIVID. The hostess was not very helpful at all. We insisted on the next waterside table but she said she didn't know when one would become available. We ended up only waiting another 10min or so and was then escorted to our lovely waterside table :) It was worth the wait! Plus, we had THE SWEETEST waitress who more than made up for the not so helpful hostess. If Wendy Shoemaker is still working there and you have her as your waitress, she will treat you like royalty and make your dinner an amazing event.

Oh, and when we were there we heard the other waitresses offering the F! package to other diners. We saw that at RBT in June too, many people just walked up, without reservations, and were able to get the package.

Can the F! dinner package be cancelled like a normal reservation? We are going in November (we aren't at the 60 day mark yet), but I'm concerned about a lot of rain. Can we cancel a F! BB dinner package just like a regular BB dinner reservation? I'm confused because the DL website says, "Packages and tickets may not be refunded, redeemed for cash, exchanged for a different date or time, or sold." If I'm reading that right, how would a reservation open up once it is already sold out?

Yes, you can cancel it just like any other reservation. You just need to do it 24hrs in advance.

They can be cancelled the same as any reservation with no fee outside of the 24 hour window.

As far as rain, I'm not sure what the standard policy is, but we had a ton of rain this last February and I was worried about our reservation. I called that morning of and they said if it's cancelled, you still pay the full price and don't give out fastpasses for a later show, but they would allow me to cancel in less than 24 hours with no fee. Also, when we went to BB, the rain was on and off all day, he said if we wanted to switch to the regular menu if we were worried about rain, we could. We decided to chance it. I checked the forecast like crazy and prayed it wouldn't keep raining. It rained, but stopped an hour or two before the show and it went on as planned. It started raining again immediately after and they ended up cancelling the second show. I felt bad for those people who chanced it and basically just overpaid for a BB meal.

Thank you thank you thank you!! Thank you to everyone who gave me advice on what to do. I checked for any cancellations first thing I woke up this morning and sure enough a 4:20 popped up! Without all of your help I wouldn't have ever thought to check for cancelations or believed it would actually happen but now I don't have to disappoint my sweet DS and that means the world to me!

I really hope other people who think they have booked F! BB package check to make sure they used the right webpage for the package and not the regular lunch/diner website. That would make for a not so magical day if you counted on something and didn't have fast passes as a backup plan.

I'm super grateful for all of you fellow DIS'ers :mickeyjum
