Free Dining and AP?

With the free dining that was just released does anyone know if you can use that with an annual pass? We have annual passes and love the free dining, just want to make sure we can use it also.

Yes, you can take advantage of the free dining offer. All you need to do is buy a 1 day MYW ticket per person. The MYW ticket can be used at a later day.

Make sure to calculate the price using your AP discount with you paying for dining (no additional ticket required) and the price using the fall/winter room discount with you paying for dining (no additional ticket required). It's the only way to be sure that you're really getting the best price for comparable trips. If you'd normally eat differently than the DDP dictates and one of the room discounts comes out much better for you then you may be better off getting the TiW card rather than buying a dining plan.

Yes you do. What I was trying to explain (and probably didn't do the best job of doing) was that it's best to compare all the different offers to see which is best. Because free dining is at rack rate, there are many people who get a better deal by using one of the room discounts. This is especially true of AP holders because with free dining you still have to buy a 1 day MYW ticket but with the room discounts you don't.

I have an annual pass but no one else in my party does, can I purchase a 1day MYW for myself and the others for the free dining pkg and then purchase a 7 day ticket for the others for the remainder of the stay? How would I make it work?

You would book the package with a 1 day base ticket for everyone. Then, once you've checked in, the others would simply take that 1 day ticket and upgrade it to however many days they want. After check in, each person's ticket is independent of the package.

If you buy your package now and the ticket prices go up between now and the time you go, just have the others in your party use the tickets first and then upgrade, and they will get credit for the then-current gate price of the ticket towards any upgrade.
