we need some tips and must do's... We are going on a Wednesday In the second week September... Excited for Harry Potter and everything else :)

september really doesn't have crowds most of the month.
you'll probably have a leisurely day in the parks.

read thru some of the stickies and go to www.universalorlando.com for more info on what is in the parks.

get an idea of the layout of the park and ride/show descriptions.

if staying onsite, you can use the express lines.
if staying offsite, be at the park gate early if you can.

My best advice is to get to the gates about 30 minutes prior to opening time.

Once they let you in go straight back to the Harry Potter area and do all that area first.

Once you enter IOA head towards the back and keep to your right. As you cross over the bridge into Seuss land do not go all the way through Seuss to get to Harry Potter. As soon as you cross the bridge take your first left and that is a short cut to save you a few minutes walking time and get you back to HP area faster.

If you want to do the wand show, get in line for that first thing. If you do not plan on doing the wand show (we never do) then get in line for Forbidden Journey (the castle) first.

I would suggest you wait until you have ridden all 3 rides (FJ, Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge) BEFORE you get a Butterbeer (frozen is better than liquid) so that your stomach doesn't get queasy.

If you are prone to any kind of motion sickness then Forbidden Journey will probably make you dizzy and or queasy. I have to take Meclizine (Antivert) to be able to ride it but it is my favorite ride.

Except for the Sinbad Stunt Show, I wouldn't miss anything.

On Jurassic Park River Adventure, you'll probably get wet.

On both Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls and Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges, you will get soaked! Plan appropriately - Some people bring a change of clothes, some (mostly onsite guests) leave the park and return to their hotel to change into dry clothes, while others wear quick-dry clothing. I usually go with the last option, preferably on a warm, sunny day.

I guess I'm the only one that likes Poseidens Fury. :rotfl: Granted its not nearly my favorite, but I find it "interesting" If I stay for a week and have a lot of time I will usually do it. It has changed quite a bit to. I thought the first version was the best, not sure why they changed it. I just think its slightly cool. Nothing to write home about. But I like to do most attractions. I would take PF over Sinbad, I did think that was fairly boring, only done it once.

But yes I agree with those that say everything else. Unless you really want to get soaking wet, you could skip Plutos Barges too, but that's about all I would skip.

I think Poseidan's Fury would have been a lot cooler if you had been in some moving vehicle of some sort through the rooms.

Get the plastic butterbeer cup that you can refill. $0.99 soda (only available outside Hogsmead) or about $2.99 butterbeer refills (frozon or liquid). I like the liquid version better but I would recommend trying both.

Thank you everyone for the tips! We are 24 & 27 on our Honeymoon :) we most certainly can't wait to try all of the tips you have given us :)
