Last month when I was at the MK, I ran into a family from our local baseball league.... We were both at the compleate opposite side of the country, and didn't know the other was going to be there.

It was kind of interesting.

On my first WDW trip, we ran into one of our neighbors at the airport in Orlando.

In my job, I deal with the public. Most know that I am a Disney Nut, I usually run into at least a couple people I know at WDW. It drives my wife crazy. I think thats the best part. :teeth:

Earlier this year, we went to the historic district in Philadelphia to view the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Sitting at an outdoor cafe having lunch, we realized the person at the table next to us went to the same gym back at home.

I'll be darned if we didn't run into him in Disney a few weeks ago, too. We must have the same travel agent.

Coming from clear across the country and going to a place that is so big, what are the odd's.........Here is who we saw on our last trip:

NYE - Leaving DTD heading to Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house, my former boss and her sister in law get on the bus - small world, then we run into former boss and her family a couple of nights later at Epcot. Had only run into her once in 8 years and Reno is a small town. Then a couple of weeks after we get home we run into her again, decided we needed to do lunch and catch up, which we did!

MK: DS runs into a friend from school who lives around the corner from us.

Epcot: DH runs into a co-worker while getting turkey legs. Co-worker is in FL visiting in-laws and decided to spend 1 day in Epcot.

When we went for the Millennium Celebration in 2000 we were in MGM one day with my In-Laws and my Mother-In-Law spotted my kids GodParents. We knew they were motorhoming their way across the SouthWest but had no idea they were in Fl or WDW.

It really is a Small World afterall...........

Its happened to me at least 4 times (and we travel a lot). Once I was in Paris touring the castles (overseas study program) and ran into someone from home. Another time my family and I were traveling around California. One morning we walked out our room and at the same time, right next door, out walked my brother's friend and his family! Another time we arrived at the airport in Hawaii and ran into our neighbor. Then on the flight home, we ran into our other neighbor on the plane!

That all happen when we lived in Chicago. Now we are in SC. I moved to Hilton Head when my dad retired there. Suddenly we keep running into friends from back home who now live there too (a family down the street, a former neighbor, former swim teammate of mine, and get this, a man whom with my dad used to play toy soldiers!). It's a small world after all!

A couple of years ago we were eating at the Plaza Restaurant in MK and in walked an old co-worker of mine. I had not seen or heard about her in years.

The first year we went and stayed at Sports. DS (8) was in the pool and I hear look at that handsome blond kid, I look around and see my old workout girlfriend. It is a small world;)

When I was in about 9th or 10th grade we went to WDW on our spring break, my sister and I ran into three of the guys from the basketball team on Goofy's Barnstormer.
And in 2004, my (other) sister and I sitting at MCO and of my favorite teachers came walking through. He was even on the same plane as us (not that that is that odd when people are going to the same location).

YES!! It was crazy. My friend and I just arrived that day and went to Epcot. The first thing we saw was my relatives from California and I didn't even know that they were planning on going. (We live in Nebraska)

I ran into someone who I used to work with. He is now a CM. It was kind of funny. I went to where Pooh's Friends are at AK, and it was roped off, so I went to ask the CM when they would be back. I did not recognize him because he has lost so much weight. :confused3 He was like you have no clue who I am? Then I realized who it was. It was great.

He was coming off while I was gettting on...

My brother's ex-girl friend at MCO.

Happens all of the time, makes my wife nuts...

Did you have a quick discussion so you could both write off the trip as being "business related" :lmao:

Yes, how funny is that! We are from a small town in central IL, only 15,000 population. We ran into the lady who runs the local hallmark store at MGM under the giant hat pin trading station. It was so neat, those odds have to be high, right!

While waiting at the airport ( after a great Disney vacation) I ran into a friend of mine from high school and her hubby who graduated with my hubby. They had done one of the Disney cruises and then Poly for a few days. We even boarded the same plane to come home.

While walking thru Tomorrowland in Feb 2005 my DBF starting yelling at someone. Not being the Disney lover that I am, I thought "Oh no, what happened". When I finally turned around to see what was going on, DBF was talking to a friend from his sportsman's club. It turned out that there were a ton of people in the world from our hometown, but we only ran into him.

Never even thought about that...

I do get to WDW for a few conferences a year (going in October...) and I typically fly down a day early, and leave the day following... don't want to deal with the rushing around at the conference and have "no Mouse time".

I love my annual pass. I carry it in my wallet and it makes me happy.

No, however, I ran into the woman I sat next to on the airplane in MK!

We saw each other, laughed and hugged! So cool! :goodvibes

You would think that 3000 miles away I would be safe, but not from the"stalker" A girl I dated for less then a month back in the early 80s who stalked me for years showed up at EPCOT last September.

She walked up to my wife and I and said it is a small world after all isn't it?

We see people all the time that we know...it's so weird. Disney, Harrah's Casino in New Orleans, a restaurant in Dublin!!!
