What is your family status?

The Disney Vacation Club states its accommodations are designed especially for families. DVC also says it provides the flexibility and variety to meet your family's changing vacation needs, at any stage in life.

So I was wondering, what is your family status?

It has absolutely worked for our family...When we purchased DVC 14 years ago our kids were 13 and 10...we used our points then for a week in August before school started.....fast forward..kids are out of college..one married...one engaged...Hubby and I have been going to food and wine every October....occasional long weekends.....sent our son and daughter-in-law to Aulani for their honeymoon ...love the flexibility

Married with an only gremlin. Would have purchased before kids if we had been financially able.

I'm not sure if my vote for "single with empty nest" was recorded as I got an error message on my iPhone, but I too used to travel with DH to studios before he passed away, stayed with the whole family and granddaughter in the treehouses, and 2 br, and will be sending oldest DS and fiancé to Aulani for a honeymoon right after I help CA family vacation at VGC as a college graduation present for oldest nephew. DVC certainly is grand!

Married...empty nester!

Same here....and was an empty nester when we purchased
We do share our points with the kids.
Sent DS and DDIL to Aulani for their anniversary this year......and I haven't even been yet!

Married with two kids (3 1/2 and about to be 2 years old). That being said, We will hang on to our contracts a minimum of 20 years as long as nothing unforseen happens. We used to travel to Disney every other year before kids, for about 8 years...so I could see us keeping our contracts until the end date.

Married with 3 kids but heading towards empty nests. We travel as a group of three for the next few trips but soon I'm expecting it to be just the two of us.

And I think our Dvc fits all scenarios.

Married (wedding at WDW) in 2001 and purchased DVC in 2001. Now a family of three, our daughter is 10. We usually travel just the three of us, but asked extended family to WDW on two occasions.

Married one child one on the way. Bought before I even met my wife during the great resession when resale prices crashed. One of the better decisions I have made!!!!!!!

Although we're married with kids grown and gone, we've used our DVC for extended family trips (grown kids and grandchildren) and many solo trips (I go, DH stays home and cat-sits/golfs)

Married and a daughter!!! Have used our membership to go as our little family, to take family with us, sent my parents with our daughter, and plan on taking friends with us on our next trip! We love it and it has been fabulous!!!

Answered married with children but as you can see by my signature, our baby is now 21 so before too long we will become empty nesters. We still try to vacation as a family, which now includes grand twins.

Just DH and I, no children, so we spoil the parents with occasional trips. they love DVC as much as we do.

Married with a 20 year old daughter who says we can't go to Disney without her. Not sure what she is expecting when I retire and spend 1-2 months a year at WDW ;)

When we started out we were married with children, then DD went away to school/life and we became empty nesters, and now we are married with DGS(3) almost every time we go.

We are married but with older kids. Now we are going with our older kids, but also with our grandchildren. Circle of life. Enjoying it all over again with the younger ones!!!!
