(I was solo for this trip).
My favourite characters are Chip and Dale, and I have a tattoo of them on my left wrist. At the Garden Grill, Dale saw the tattoo and obviously realised I was a huge fan. He knelt down next to me and stroked the tattoo, pointed at himself on the tattoo and then did a thumbs up, as if to say "I look the best!". He wrote in my autograph book 'Dale loves you' and it made me very, VERY happy to see that! Dale spent about 5 minutes with me in total, and I felt very special.
(Chip, on the other hand, didn't seem to like the tattoo. He rubbed at it to confirm it was real, then shook his head and walked off...
It made me sad, actually, because I spent money getting a tattoo I loved of my favourite characters and it seemed very out of character. I told my server I didn't even get a photo, so she said Chip was having a bad day because Dale had eaten all of the food, and he'd be back after his snack. Dale made up for it, though.)
I was waiting for 20 minutes in line at MK to see Stitch, my other favourite, to be the last in line and then I was told Stitch had to go. He was waving at his CM, and covering his eye, which I believe my cousin (used to be friends with characters at DLP) said was code for a wardrobe malfunction- maybe that was why. Stitch had just been dealing with a group of toddlers. Anyway, Stitch came out about ten minutes later, and it was raining very lightly, and I was the only person there. We had great fun together. A girl came out with Stitch and his CM, and she was very eager to make sure I got lots of pictures. She was friendly and enthusiastic and seemed to know the CM and Stitch very well. I wondered if maybe she was friends with the previous Stitch as she was the right height...? Anyway, she got some amazing, amazing photos on my iPhone for me, and they are by far my favourites because they're more natural than my photopass ones. Made me very happy and I gave her a hug to thank her for the pixie dust.
My last solo favourite was at Camp Minnie Mickey first thing in the morning. I spent ten minutes with all of the characters in a big group because I was the ONLY person there! Crazy, but it made my whole trip!! Donald, Chip and Dale were clowning around, the 'munks were making me help them prank him. Baloo and King Louie also came over to help, and Chip and Dale acted scared of Baloo, until he showed them he was friendly. Then Mickey came over and wagged his finger at us for tormenting Donald. It was so great! Donald also came and sat next to me on the bench I was at when I'd finished with them all, and we had a conversation about my hat. It's amazing how they communicate without words, isnt it? Here's a pic of that.
My last encounter wasn't on the solo trip. I was with my family, again at Garden Grill. DNiece was 2 at the time, and she had lots of Mickey and friends figures, I believe it was the Fab Five plus a few extras. Anyway, Mickey saw her playing with them at the table and came and sat next to her and played for a good 5 minutes. Chip knocked over the Donald and Pluto figures as he walked past and gave an exaggerated giggle (this Chip was very good compared to the other one!) and it was great fun. Eva loved feeling so special! No pics of this, they're on my old iPhone.
Sorry for the short novel.
