Does the AKL Reservation team have a Fax number? I've had a look, but can't find a number specific to Reservations.

I'm used to faxing 5 days before my trip, and have had a great deal of success when using this method (must be my charming literary style!!).

No. POR and POFQ are the only resorts that accept faxed requests.

Hello...my sweetheart and I will be celebrating our one year anniversary at AKL in an Arusha Savannah View room October 22-26th. We are SO EXCITED! I've read this entire thread! Have I mentioned EXCITED!

My plans have slightly changed. We are now at All Star Music from October 1st to 8th and at Kidani Village for one night on October 8th.

I've been reading the last few pages and was interested in finding out a good room to request for a lockoff 2 bedroom villa @ Kidani. Can I not use the touring plans fax request since we rented points though? And are the room configurations constantly changing with lock-offs? Last, is kudu trail request able for 2 bedroom lock offs? Sorry for all the questions - AKL newbie - so excited!

Need AKL expert opinions, please. We are arriving for our first AKV Jambo House stay on September 26th (savanna view studio villa). I just did online check-in and requested an Arusha Savanna view room near the lobby. It didn't give me an option for Zebra Trail or Kudu Trail. I'd prefer Zebra Trail, so I figured "near the lobby" was my best option?? Any opinions?

Quoting myself again just to see if anyone has any thoughts?? Thanks!

I just wanted to say thank you. I had never heard of the Dine with an Animal Specialist Lunch at Sanaa before reading this thread. I was able to book it during our upcoming stay at AKL! :dogdance:

New around these parts, but seems like the place to get answers.

We are staying 9/6 - 9/11. We have booked a savanna deluxe studio. Our reservation says Kidani village. (We rented through DVC). Can anyone give me some insight on what to expect (what building, floors, Bus times etc) Also anything you would request for check in? And finally anything you think would be use full to pack that most people don't?
This is our first time staying here. We are so excited it's been a dream of me hubby's for a while

What kind of coffeemaker is in a one bedroom kidanI villa? Is there coffee provided for a couple cups a day?

That should be fine.

There's only one building at Kidani. It's VERY long, so request near the lobby. Most people request a lower floor so they can be closer to the animals.

Are you renting from a company/owner or is your reservation through WDW? If through WDW yes, coffee everyday. Renting, no. You will get it on the 1st day then if you are staying a week, on the 4th day. If less than a week, then you will get trash and towel service on the 4th day only. It's a normal coffee maker, 12 cup I think.

I'm renting. I'll make sure to pick up coffee at the grocery store. Thanks! Oh, do I need filters too? Cone or flat bottom?

We are staying in a queen room with bunks are we better off to have a 2nd floor room to be closer to the animals or a upper room to see more?

We have a 1 bedroom at Kidani.

My mom might come with us. I know we can have 5 people. Is the pull out chair going to be comfortable for an 11 year old boy? He's small to average, around 5'1' & thin. I'm thinking my mom can stay with us if there isn't a 2 bedroom available.

Our 28 year old daughter slept in the chair last year and it was fine. She is 5'4" and a normal size for a young woman. I think your son will enjoy using it and having his own bed!!

We have a Standard View room at Jambo House reserved for next month. One of the request options listed on the online check in is Kudu Trail.
What type of view is this? I've have a parking lot view before having a Standard View room but am not familiar with the Kudu Trail view.
Can anyone shed light on this and if it's a good option to request?

Thank you :)

Kudu trail may be a long walk from the lobby, but with a standard room you would likely have a view of the people pen (if you have to make an emergency exit from the hotel onto the Savanah you are in a cage of sorts to stay away from the animals. )
So you get a partial Savanah view.
