Hi Everyone! So I was talking with my friend last week who goes to Disney a lot, but also loves any Disney makeup that is released. She said Walgreens released some makeup with ELF cosmetics and also another collection called "Dare to Dream". Different Disney princesses are released every month or so I believe? Anyways when I was there last week, this is what I saw.
The ELF collection looked to be only with Belle. They had products such as eyeshadow, nail polish, lip gloss, ect. They also had some Elsa themed items at the bottom of this shelf. The cosmetic bags also were adorable. It's hard to see, but the top self the second item fro the right, is a Belle cosmetic bag which features the scene at the end of the film when Bell and the Prince are dancing and everyone is human again! It was precious, I really considered buying it but I feel as if I have so much of that stuff! I may decide against that thought though lol. All the items on this shelf ranged from $2.99-$12.99 which I consider great!
The next shelf of products was something a bit different. This was the "Dare to Dream" collection. These products were even more wonderful.
The princesses featured in this collection were Ariel, Pocahontas & Mulan. Of course I was excited to see Ariel being featured in these products, but I was also so happy to see Mulan and Pocahontas, two princesses I feel need more love!
The products featured here were also great. Each princess had specific single items they carried. Ariel had eyeshadows, Pocahontas had foundations, and Mulan had nail polish. The products I was really excited about was the beaty books. Each princess had their own beauty book which includes eye shadows, lipstick, and eyeliner. There were also cosmetic bags being sold for each of the princesses, all so pretty and detailed. Let's just say, I wanted to buy them all, but I constrained myself.
Before I try to explain all the details, here is the Ariel one I bought!
These beauty books open up like real story books. The creativity of these products is wonderful.
When you first open your beauty book, you see a directions section. This section tells you the different shades of the book you can use for day and for night.
***Sorry for the sideways pictures***
The left side of the next page of the beauty book has a mirror that matches the princess the book was inspired by. So for the Ariel book, it makes sense there are seagreen colors that surround the mirror.
On the right side is all of the make up.
What really struck me about these books was the details that went into them! For each shade in the Ariel Beauty book there was a special Ariel themed name! As you can see, there are eye shadow shades such as thingamabobs, gizmos, gadgets, and dinglehopper.
Here you can see he blush shades, the lipstick and the eyeliner better. Like who wouldn't love a lip stick shade called what's a fire?!
For $10 only, I think the beauty books are a great buy. The products are great and the theming is just awesome! I am not sure how long this Disney makeup collection will last at Walgreens, so if this interests you, go check it out! It is totally worth a peek at these very magical products!
