it's a parking garage and they basically just park it, they drove ours about 10 feet to the parking space, it's small so really not much driving they do.
it was sooo nice to call after i got out of customs and the car was pulled to front of garage and i got in and left, it's litterally right across the street from the port. no shuttle needed.

Have used ezcruise about 30 times. Book on line and use promotional code MAY for an $8 discount.

The best tip I came across recently was to pack an overnight bag for the pre-cruise hotel stay that is a separate bag from the main luggage. That way you don't have to unpack and repack everything at the hotel the day before the cruise. :thumbsup2

Does anyone have tips for packing booze in our luggage for the flight from Columbus to Houston? We cannot carry it on, so it will go with the checked bags under the plane. We are packing plastic bottles (not glass), so it's less breakable.

    Other packing tips?

We are having the same issue. Preferably, I'd like to purchase the liquor in Houston/Galveston. If you must travel with it, double bag it in ziplock and layer it with clothes. It has worked on return flights from Europe for me.

The FE update board is ready for action and will be posted outside of our room # 5524. If you are in the early FE group (A, B, or A/B) and have changes prior to our cruise, please email me at becca.zpack@gmail.com. It's hard to believe that our trip will be here in less than 2 weeks! :hourglass

There are plenty of places to buy booze in Houston.

I could also perhaps help people out if they want to have some to carry-on the boat. I'm willing to accept paypal and hit the liquor store and appear like a complete and total lush :D

Travel with alcohol can be a challenge. If you are driving down to the port, just buy it here in Houston:

There are tons of locations, including one in Galveston. Most are open 10a-9p Mon-Sat. Great prices, very convenient.

Question--is there anything in cruise documents that is a must have, besides luggage tags? Seems Disney isn't perfect, they mailed my documents to my TA's parent company and they discarded them. My TA specifically noted to mail documents to me. Of course Disney doesn't want to recend them because they say they were mailed. Know I can get luggage tags at the port just wondered if Disney's documents are like all the other cruise lines and not needed. I have the boarding paperwork that I printed from web site.

We normally wouldn't take a Disney Cruise, especially by ourselves without grandkids, but couldn't resist the itinerary and great military discount. DH is AF retired 06.

Just back Thurs from Panama Canal cruise, had excursion with several families on Disney Magic in Grand Cayman. They all were raving about their cruise, food & service and assured us the adults only areas weren't crowded...lol.

Anyone know if Ironman 3 will be showing for sure? We have a ton to do this weekend but don't want to miss it. If it is showing on the Magic we can do it a bit more leisurely.

Thank you everyone for all of your wonderful replies sounds like Houston and Galveston have a lot to offer as long as we are willing to drive!

That's so unfortunate that our hotel doesn't have the wow factor :(... if only we had discovered this board before we booked!
We will do our best to check out other hotels... thanks so much foe the heads up!! :)

Only a few days left now! Amazing how time flies!!! I have a feeling it's going to be an amazing cruise ... you all are so friendly and helpful!!! :)

It is! Someone ( I can't remember who it was now) listed a number you can call to find out the listing of movies. I haven't called myself but that person confirmed Iron Man 3 would be showing. Wish I remembered who it was so I could give cred!

    Very nice. Thanks for posting.

Will they be having a "spread" after the Fireworks? Last year on the 5-day Bahamian cruise on the Magic we had an incredible desert buffet after the show and fireworks. In Feb on a 3-day Bahamian cruise on the Dream nada.

I have a scanned listing of the Hidden Mickey's and their clues. If someone wants them plus the suggestions for how to make a game of it let me know.
