Hey everyone, is anyone else not seeing the revised rules? I pulled up my redcard account, went to rules, and nothing had changed at all.

There is nothing that specifies gift cards on Target.com, at least on my screen.

I even went in through the general site to the rules, and again, nothing has changed.

The rules are in at least two places - 1) is after you have logged into your red card account, which is where you looked and has NOT been changed. 2) is under the general red card information on the top of the target.com site. It has been changed.

Just some thoughts I am having now that the 5% Target gc for gc is dead.

I was going to wait until tomorrow, but I think I will go today and try to use my $400 worth of Target GCs to get Disney GCs. I don't want to be stuck with that many Target GCs just in case they do away with the GC to GC capability. I really need the Disney GCs for my upcoming trip. I'm a little nervous I will have trouble doing this, since we don't have self-checkout lanes. I'm just going to put the GC on the register, and then hand over my 4 Target GCs (3 printed with a barcode and 1 physical). One advantage of going today is to stop by Kroger and getting a GC for the remaining needed on my trip, thus getting the 4X fuel points which ends today (plus the 5% cashback with my CC). I'll just trade in for Paypal on Swagbucks and get movie GCs on HumanaVitality (putting the cash I would have spent on the movie back in vacation savings) and buy future GCs from Kroger with cash. I've only been doing this since January, but it is all too scary for me.

Exactly. There is no reference to "no Target GCs as payment for other GCs" and no mention of "no 5% off GC purchases in-store when paying with a REDCard". People need to calm down and read the T&Cs for the REDCard benefits. It's strictly no 5% off all GCs online, regardless of how you pay.

My plan going forward is to utilize more fuel discounts at Safeway. We usually spend about $180 a month in fuel which isn't too crazy. We have 2 vehicles with 16 gallon tanks and as much as I don't want to I am going to start bringing gas cans when filling up. I think I should still be able to keep decent discounts going even losing the 5%.

How would I know if my Target account was shut down?? I have been trying to log on to my account and it just keeps taking me back to the log in page.

Try a different browser. I can't get into my account on Chrome but I'm fine on Firefox.

Thinking it is time to buy gas cans also. My van only holds 17 gallons. If dh & I fill up together, we can almost max out the 35 gallons but that is very hard to coordinate.

For anyone who is planning on Ghirardelli cards- they also have a 10% off chocolate/$1 off specialty sundae coupon on their website under special offers. There's no exp date. The coupon in combo with a 5% off eBay from target, the 20% sale on eBay today, and 5% ebates is a nice bit of savings on a Ghirardelli ice cream stop at DTD or DCA.

Are these good on ice cream and sundaes? I was nervousto get one because it says merchandise only

I think those banned are still able to access their accounts but any orders they place are immediately canceled.

Yep- it seems to be a bit of a hassle but its a good chunk of change left on the table. I am currently re-calculating my #'s regarding my initial "in". I like having a couple of options. For me, having a Chase Ink I can do OK starting off at an office supply store too.

I read on the Disneyland thread ppl were able to use it at Ghirardelli at DCA (no Disney gc allowed there) for ice cream. However I want to say I read someone was also denied. I will still use it either way but I just plan to ask before I promised the kids one way or another on chocolate squares versus ice cream.
