Disney Gift Card Deals

Figured it would take more than one form but if anything I can always have a balance left on the visa gc and use that on eBay to cover shipping. Thanks going to try the visa next month and see how it goes. An extra 5% is always nice

Hopefully others will learn from my mistake. During my Xmas shopping earlier in the month I saw Disney gift cards at Walgreens. I went home and ordered a rather large amount of Walgreen cards at a 13% savings from a card service. They came in today and I just got home from a very sad trip to Walgreens. The checkout girl tried several times and different ways to run it through. Called in the manager and all of my pleading fell on deaf ears. Walgreens will not accept their own gift cards for other gift cards. I'm to embarrassed to admit the amount I now have in Walgreens gift cards. Suffice to say I could never spend this amount at Walgreens in my lifetime.

An update. The gift cards I purchased above was from CardPool. Just shy of $1,000 worth. After discovering I could not use the Walgreen cards I figured I would sell them back at whatever their buy rate was and take the hit. I emailed cardpool and explained I could not use their cards for the purpose I had purchased them for and wanted to sell them back to them. They replied that they could not purchase cards back that they have sold but, I was about to cry at this point, under their 100% customer satisfaction warranty they would be glad to refund my purchase up to the max limit of $1,000 if I returned the cards within 100 days of purchase unused and in the same condition as received. :worship::dogdance:

I waited to post this until the refund hit my bank account. I know this does not add anything to getting Disney gift cards at a discount but thought my experience with CardPool was worth mentioning. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

I'm so glad that worked out for you :)

I have always gotten the best service from Cardpool than the other GC resellers, which is why I buy from them almost exclusively. It's nice to know that you got your money back.

I finished churning for our February trip last month and since then I have started saving for our 2018 trip with the goal to see if I can get it as close to free as possible. I have earned using Swagbucks, PerkTV, Ibotta, other rebates and any income outside of my normal job. It's been just 1 month and I have already saved $580! Of that money, $100 came from a study panel that I did through Swagbucks and another $150 came from reviewing a scholarly book proposal in my field. Both of those checks came in the mail today. It feels like such an amazing start to our next trip. I haven't even started churning these funds yet because I wanted to get to $600 saved to make it worth paying eBay shipping fees. Almost there!

I started doing that in November because we want a free trip. I have $1075 in Disney gift cards, $300 in target ones that I just churned from eBay and a $200 Southwest card. Plus I have my rebates apps and Ebates and shopkick. I buy things from target doing the gift card deals with coupons and rebate apps so those gift cards are included in that as well. Love it!

Been doing exactly the same. I have close to 2k planning on Fall 2017 so hoping to go for free (well not really my time should count for something!)

I'm just finishing up my churning for my March trip. I kind of have the same goal for a potential Christmas 2018 trip. However, I've got a couple of Carnival cruises before then that I am thinking of doing some churning for spending money since ebay has Carnival GC.

Wow, y'all guys are a lot more ambitious than I am. I am hoping to try to gain just a 25% discount on my total trip budget. But the more I learn................

Right now I have a total of 2630.00 accumulated for year 2015. It breaks down to this.

325.00- in gifts for myself like Mother's Day, birthday, Christmas and so on from family
638.00- in Chase rewards, DVA bonus, ect
283.00- churned reward
1667.65- amount I ACTUALLY SPENT on Disney gift cards
All of these funds are in Disney Gift Cards so I went ahead and got 4 adult tickets through Disney earlier, hencing another price increase and possible teiring. I now have 1330.00 left.

I have gotten the Citi Double Reward card now so that is 2%, where as Chase, which is 1%. And I have just really started to learn the process of churning, so I know I can learn a great deal more as time goes on.

Lucky you, I was about to do my eBay churn but there is no more cards in stock. According to eBay, they will send you the certificate for your eBay bucks at the end of the quarter, then you have 30 days to redeem it.
Ok.... I am trying to follow this idea....why ebay? Is it b/c of the 5x points specials? I that what makes that part of this work? What does 5x points = in actual money? (mostly) get the raise/target/disney thing... but I am not getting the ebay part....what if you bought a gc at ebay without any 'deals' is that pointless?

Either SB or eBates can be used. Both of them technically do not credit for gift card purchases, it's always possible that your order might slip through and get credited. If you add a small item in addition to your GC order, you increase your chances of success through eBates. I'm not sure if it works with SB also.

It depends on whether GC purchases on ebay are one of the categories included for credit. I know that ebates currently credit 1%.

Again, you can go through either rewards program to make your purchase. If it automatically credits, great. If it doesn't, you probably won't get anywhere by submitting a trouble ticket since both programs exclude GC purchases from credit.

As for the rulers, you purchase them each time that you shop at Target for a GC, when going through a rewards program. It doesn't have to be a ruler. Other office supplies like tape, glue, colored pencils, etc. work just as well.

Nice job! What a great feeling it must have been to be able to take such a nice trip and know that part of it was free!
I just copied and pasted this into a doc on my computer for reference.... thanks for the info!

Why Swagbucks? I signed up but can't see any simple earning opportunites there.what am I missing? and why are Target gc's on Ebay for sale for way more than their actual value?

Check the Swagbucks thread for easy earning opportunites. Why SB? Because they reward for shopping at Raise, Target .com, and eBay.

People buy Target GCs for more than face value for a number of reasons, one of them being that they can pay with eBay Bucks (which is basically free money). However, Gift Card Mall (an eBay vendor) sells Target GCs for face value plus a small shipping fee. Every once in a while, they sell them for even less than face value and free shipping. And you earn cashback if you shop thru eBates, or points if you shop thru another shopping portal. And you also earn eBay Bucks.

I am kind of wondering that myself. ;) I did earn 135 points for a $135 Raise purchase which was nice. I need 500 total to be able to cash out for a $5 Target GC. Surveys can earn you some Swagbucks. I think I prefer Ebates in general (just the look and feel of it all is easier to me, personally) but I will definitely use Swagbucks for Raise and other saving opportunities!

@Marionette- Thanks! Another post of yours I will copy/paste into my file to learn!

I've been purchasing target gc on raise and then using them on target.com to buy disney. I'm averaging about 12% off. I thought that was pretty good. I also am having trouble comprehending the eBay thing too. Can someone dumb it down for me and go through the process?

Marionette...thank you. Are any of you worried that Target will close the loop and you'll be stuck with a lot of gift cards? I'd hate to tie up that much money and then have it not work later.

I shop at Target regularly, so the money will get spent. I would much rather have the funds tied up in Target GCs, where I can use them to buy groceries and other essentials, than to have my money sunk in Disney GCs and tickets.

There is a whole swagbucks thread that can give hints for easier ways to earn swagbucks. I bring in about $100-$150 a month in giftcards from swagbucks. Then I use those to churn. The only money I spend out of my pocket is buying grocery and non foods items at target doing their gift card deals in their ad. The gift cards I get from that go to my Disney fund as well.
