Disney Gift Card Deals

Yes, you can purchase eBay gift cards from Target and get a 5% discount if you have a Red card.

You purchase Target cards on eBay from a reseller called Gift Card Mall. (They have their own website where you can purchase cards, but in order to be able to pay with eBay gift cards, you have to find their items through the eBay website.) Be sure you're signed up for the eBay Bucks rewards program. You'll qualify for a 2% rebate on all your Target gift card purchases and during special promotion periods, you can receive up to 10% back. GCM charges $2.99 shipping for the first card and $.99 for each additional card of the same store/denomination. One additional FYI, eBay limits you to $5,000 in purchases made with eBay gift cards in any 6-month window, should you decide you want to really go all out.

thank you. do you mind explaining the ebay bucks rewards program. how are you searching for gift card mall on ebay just so I know how to find them. thanks

so just making sure I'm figuring my math correctly you can save 5% spend 95 to get 100 ebay gift card. use ebay bucks to save 2% to buy target 98 used 2 remaining. then 5% red card discount at target for disney 95. so spending 95 to start at target to get ebay, will have 2 in ebay remaining and 5 in target remaining. so total savings is 12% not including the ebay shipping.

are there certain denominations that get processed easily? are there limits at target on how much you can buy in ebay gift cards? thanks

I paid my DVC dues in January 2015 (about $900 worth), bought a 6-day park hopper and (3) 7-day park hoppers, AND paid for 5 nights at Pop Century with my DVA. I've requested my $20 reward gift card TWICE and still have yet to receive one....not sure what that is all about. I requested one back in June, but wasn't surprised that I didn't get it because I hadn't spent more that $1K on stuff that WASN'T my DVC dues. I requested one again in September, after buying park tickets and paying for the hotel, but before our October trip. I still haven't received anything. What is the deal?

I tried to find restrictions on the eBay site re: exchanging for eBay gift cards, but I didn't see anything, so... yes?

If you have a Target Red card, however, you could buy Target gift cards, earn more eBay bucks, then turn around and buy eBay gift cards at a 5% discount. You'd lose a tiny bit in shipping vs. going straight to eBay, but you'd make up for it & more with the savings.

Thanks! I was just wondering because I've had times where i only get like $15 in ebay bucks so I was hoping to just get an ebay card and combine it with the ones from target or use it to cover the shipping on future churns!

I had a very good experience with DVA last year, and am using it again for our September trip. This was during the time the site went down for a bit and I think a lot of folks got disenchanted. Understandable, particularly for those that had auto-deposits with vacation balances due during the outage

Same here. The outage was a tiny bit annoying, but they were very clear about it and fixed the issue within a reasonable amount of time. I paid for my vacation with no issues and got my $40 for spending over $2000. I'll use them again for my DL trip in August.

How do you know when eBay does the 3x, 4x, 5x? Is it for everyone or by invitation only? IIRC, people have posted they've never received these offers?

Someone on here posted that the DVC dues payment does not count towards the bonus spend requirement. Not sure on the hotel payment, but the park tickets definitely should count. Total ticket spend was over $1,000, right? What date did you put in as your upcoming vacation date? If its far out, they will send your bonus card closer to the date you entered. I always fudge my vacation date to get the bonus card asap.

Does anyone know if you can buy an ebay gift card with your ebucks certificate? I thought I read people do that do that they don't have to worry about it expiring, but I can't remember where i saw it.

Yes - did it yesterday. I had a $47 ebay bucks certificate on my ebay account, so I bought an ebay gc (emailed) that I was able to use on my hubbie's ebay account (I'm capped out on being able to pay with gift cards on my account, so now I use the hubbie's for everything).

The first time I requested one was before I put the 3 park hoppers and hotel room, and I wasn't surprised that nothing arrived.

After I paid for my room and the 3 park hoppers, I knew I was over my limit and I submitted another request. I think I put our vacation date as October of 2016 so maybe that's why I don't have anything yet. I do not like the fact that they 1) Allow you to request a bonus even if you aren't eligible (like when I made my first request) and 2) There is no way to know if and when you submitted the request and if/when it gets sent.

Yeah, that drives me nuts too. I put in a request after spending $2000 and never got anything. After about five calls I received them. I just put in another request which I'm hoping will arrive next month but I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks, I did not know this.

I guess I will be creating a couple more accounts.

You are exactly right. I wouldn't put that much money in an account unless I understood it thoroughly. We need more than $25,000 for our trip, the 12 day British Isles cruise plus Adventures By Disney in London plus a vow renewal on the cruise plus a night in WDW prior to sailing for private photo shoot at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT at 7am in our wedding attire. Add to that the cruise that we are gifting to my brother in law and his wife. That's a chunk of change and a lifetime memory for all of us. Saved about 17-20% using all the Ebay, Target, Raise, Cardcash etc etc to get to this point. And learned the way to get ebates for my purchases of gift cards thanks to those who posted this. So the savings was great. Now to get the $20 gift cards from DVA in addition is icing on the cake! I have a wonderful husband!

I paid a few thousand in DVC dues before and after Christmas using my DVA. Last week I requested the bonus. I had our next trip set for Jan 2016. Within 2 days I received an email saying your bonus of $xx is on it's way.

Prior to that, when I had a trip set a couple of months out, they wouldn't even send the emails saying the bonus is on the way. The cards would just show up randomly in the mail.

I still can't believe I'm getting the bonus for the DVC dues, since I didn't receive the bonus last year for them.

Sounds like a fabulous trip and awesome job on the savings!

I just looked at my account and, not including the DVC dues payment, I have spent $2200 since June 2015, and I opened the account in January 2015. So, I put in yet another request and listed my travel date as February 6. Theoretically, I should have $40 coming, but who knows. I will be watching my mailbox closely.

When I made calls about mine everyone was nice but I got different answers from everyone I spoke to and was owed calls back that never happened. In the end I was told they weren't coming until August. Then I received an email saying they were on their way and they arrived a week later. DVA has major room for improvement with communications.

I am sure some of you may remember the huge debacle I experienced with DVA. I think the final tally for phone calls made to them was over 11, with nearly 5 hours spent over the course of a few months trying to get refunded for ONE $50 gift card. The customer service there and communication are sorely lacking. I wish they would either improve the whole thing or cut it loose because DVA definitely is not on par with the rest of Disney.

Most people don't have any trouble with it but if you do be prepared for an enormous fight to get it made right again. Ok, rant over.

Ooh interesting. I will share mine. Mine definitely needs some major tweaking but it is what I have been using for the last few months anyway. Mine doesn't have any cool formulas. Back in my secretary days I used to go to Microsoft Excel classes and I could make these grand formulas that were a mile long and would do anything I asked. A few years of working in the hospital and that knowledge is gone. :crazy2: I feel like a grandma trying to use a Blu-Ray player.
