February 5th, 2013 - Going to Class and The Magic Kingdom
Today I woke up and Mark asked if I wanted to go to Publix. I needed to go so Mark, Lindsay, and I went on a little excursion! However, we stopped at Panera first and had some breakfast. I got a chocolate chip bagel and it was SO GOOD.
We did our Publix shopping and I got some really delicious stuff!
I got back to the room, we shoved our stuff in our over-packed refrigerator, and then I got ready for my class. Mark and I are taking Advanced Studies in Hospitality Management every Tuesday afternoon.
After class, we went back to the room, got changed, and went to Magic Kingdom! We didn't leave until almost 6 pm and the Magic Kingdom was closing at 8 pm. However, we still wanted to go!
Lindsay and I wore our princess crowns because we are princesses!
We got there and took the monorail over.... YAY MONORAIL!
Then we went to Pecos Bill for dinner! We got there right before the doors closed and THANK GOD because I had been craving Pecos for so long. I ordered a DELICIOUS burger and the toppings bar allowed me to make the best burger in my eating history. I had ketchup, mustard, mushrooms, lettuce, and pickles. IT WAS SO GOOD. I ate every bite.
Mark got an awesome burger too. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
We sat at this big table because there were seven of us there: Me, Mark, Lindsay, Maria, Russell, Sergio, and Shane. (either my roommates or Mark's roommates. Look at us bringing the neighborhood together!)
When we finished eating, we all went in different directions. Mark, Maria, and I headed towards Sleepy Hollow.
Do you know what February 5th is?
WORLDWIDE NUTELLA DAY!!!!!!!
And if you know anything about me, you know I'm obsessed with Nutella.
So we had to go to Sleepy Hollow and get our favorite snack to celebrate: THE NUTELLA WAFFLE SANDWICH!
Maria and I split one and it was AMAZING. She had never had one before but she loved it! We had to eat in the dark because Celebrate the Magic was going on, but that's okay. The lack of light did not change how incredible that thing tastes.
After that we met up with Sergio and Shane. We wandered during Wishes throughout Fantasyland.
New Fantasyland has given us a whole new viewing area for watching Wishes. IT IS BEAUTIFUL BACK THERE! There is one layer of fireworks shooting off from behind Fantasyland, and one shooting off from behind the castle. So when you're back here you're SURROUNDED. It is AWESOME.
There's a whole new castle to watch fireworks over now!
BEAUTIFUL!
After that we went back to Main Street USA and joined the insane crowds in the Emporium. I bought some Aladdin figurines and a Jasmine piggy bank.
They're for... my sister...
(I don't have a sister.)
JK THEY'RE FOR ME! I'm 5 years old, I told you.
Also... THEY HAVE A HAUNTED MANSION MYSTERY PIN SET. I am just saying.
We went out onto Main Street and saw Shane's friend Cody, who is a Photopass Photographer. Although he was officially off duty, he took our picture on our camera. So we rounded everyone up and got to take a nice photo!
In the back (left to right) there's Mark, Sergio, Shane, and Russell. Then in the front is Maria, (my immediate roommate) Me, and Lindsay!
We walked up Main Street and I had to take a picture of this window display because I'm in love with Aladdin and Jasmine's relationship.
These boys right here, ladies and gentlemen, are the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom. However, to this day they STILL haven't saved the Magic Kingdom. So if you're wondering why the park is still invaded with villains, it's all their fault.
The park closed at 8 pm so it was time to go!
Also, before this update is over, I just wanted to make a BIG SHOUTOUT to the Dis-Unplugged Podcast Team! This thread that you are all reading was deemed "THREAD OF THE MONTH!" for January 2013. I cannot explain how much of an honor it was for me to find out that I got this recognition.
