Well, it looks like I missed not one, BUT TWO, updates. Bad Me! Rough Week. No Excuse. I'll be back to see pics, but I am one of those people who does not love the interior of the Flying Fish. It's too 80's chic for me. I just don't love it, except I think the counters are very pretty and the floor in the entrance way.

The food on the other hand - YUM!!!! I had the scallops there and they were probably the best scallops I have had anywhere (except I guess from the Bluezoo, from what you tell me). Perfection, IMHO! Plus I really enjoyed the CM's there. I am glad, overall, it was a god experience. Looking forward to pics.

Now - It's starting to come back to me, but I think I DID have the crab cake at the ocean grille and it was EXCELLENT!

Thanks for all the HHI recommendations. I had fun checking out their menus yesterday!

YOU have EVERY excuse of why you were behind- you were writing that MEGA TR!! Just responding to half the people on there would be a full time job! I wish I would have ordered those scallops- they do look really good, and I would have liked to have had a more positive experience there. I will go back, though- I am planning to visit the bar with Pods one night on this next trip just to have that tuna again... I hope you did have that crab cake when you were in OBX- soooooo wonderful!

You are going to love HHI- it's a beautiful place with soo many great restaurants to try. I am really looking forward to that TR of yours!

It IS hard to find a good sweatshirt at WDW, which makes NO SENSE AT ALL. I wish they would get over this one shirt fits all mentality and mix it up a bit!

Have fun in Hawaii! I don't even know how many hours til I go...so I'm definitely not counting- but we are booked for August 17th-27th, with 4 nights on Kuaui...then 6 nights at Aulani- I hope! My fingers AND toes are crossed for that 7 month window!

And now for my news, a while back I told Rob I wanted to go on a cruise if he was willing. And his reply, "You know we will be surrounded by water?" Me, the psychologist, is water phobic. And he is a person who does not like to travel but is actually a very good traveler, providing he does not have to make any of the plans. So he did agree to go on a cruise... someday. A few weeks later I told him I needed to know what year he wanted to cruise and he came back with, "not 2012". Last week when they released the 2013 dates I booked the Dream for spring break 2013. He is happy with the idea and I have over a year to adjust to the idea of "being surrounded by water". Hey, if Kara can fly I can cruise. Yes???

I welcome all suggestions and advice from anyone who has cruised or researched cruising. This may be our one and only cruise so hopefully it will be as stress free and fun packed as possible.

Well, as usual, the last morning was here all too quickly. UGH. I woke up to the freshly brewed coffee (thank-you Joan or Evie or who ever else might have taken care of that everyday...) and went out on the balcony to enjoy the glorious view one last time....

Still haven't been in here...

So there's ALWAYS a reason to come back! When I return in November with my family, we'll be staying across the lake....

But this trip, I really fell in love with our newest home, the Boardwalk-

And I have to say, that great BIG balcony didn't hurt-

Yea...not too shabby at all! Laura had gone off for rope drop at DHS hoping to get on Star Tours, which was rumored to open sporadically everyday in soft openings. The remainder of us cleared out the villa ( we had lots of leftover wine & snacks which we sent home with Lonnie, the only one of us who drove), called Bell Services, and had them haul all of our stuff and store it for us until later that day. Then we all headed over to EPCOT, arriving at the International Gateway about an hour before WS was opening.

Nice to have the place to ourselves, once again.

We had a very specific mission this morning. We were all going to EPCOT to pray for the daughter of our dear friend, who had lost her lifelong battle with illness the September prior. This was the spot that had always been her favorite place to watch Illuminations, right in front of Canada.

We wanted to wait for Laura before we started, so we walked around a bit...

We met up with Laura, held hands, and Evie (who is one of the most spiritual & religious people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing) said the most lovely prayer for our friend's daughter...and we all cried. Of course. But we were all so glad we took the time to remember a very special angel.

Up next...say it ain't so! Why does Kara have to leave first??

We had an 11:30 ADR at Via Napoli that day, so we headed in the direction of Italy- it was probably just about 11 am, WS opening. As we walked, a Segway parade went by and we waved-

We walked around GB, so Miss Kara Jean could show us around her neighborhood.

See the apartment above the shop? I bet you didn't know that's where KJ lives! When she sits out on her balcony, she can enjoy her lawn-

Of course, she occupies the entire top floor so she has plenty of room for entertaining her imaginary friends (in her imaginary apartment)...

Sometimes, she says, she even hires a band to play for them.

Probably, they were playing right then...in Kara's world...

We walked over towards France....

And I have to admit...I started to walk more and more slowly, as if that could stop what was soon approaching. The exit of KJ from the DISmom trip.

Seriously- I HATE it when people start to leave. And Kara? Kara has become one of my closest friends (Thank-you, DISboards! ), but I only get to see her this ONE time ALL YEAR. It. STINKS. I HATE it. We kept walking, taking it all in....

And can I ask- why is only the CM smiling? Why do they all look so serious? Could it be THEY were sad KJ was leaving, too??

And then....Kara had to go.

Even if she is delusional, I do love me some Kara Jean. A LOT.
