Oh please! No!
I think she's already mad at me because I think she thinks I was trying to insinuate I was gonna charter her St. Thomas guy for only $200....
Hey- if you can get 8 hours of boat time with Thomas for $200, more power to ya!!
Why no video of this? HMMMMM?
Yea...why not?
Oh you are all so lovely and poised! I see you are all finishing school graduates!
Well, to be fully honest, some are more POISED than others....
Wow, what a pimp!
Hey!! That was Pods' proudest moment as a father!!
It is kind of a bummer to hear about the kids club on RCCL. I am surprised the boys got bored but that's a testament to the
DCL kids clubs. We never even took them to the kids clubs on Independence. I am NOT a fan of Royal's age breakdown having the 12-17's together. A tween type club like the Edge on DCL would be much preferable. That was actually part of the reason we decided to back up our dates to September, that means Brendan will still be in the 9-11's. After the Edge I don't expect him to like it much, but he will have check in/out privileges and will surely be at one of the flowriders all the time anyway.
Don't get me wrong- we had a blast, and I would go again next year if we weren't planning on Hawaii- and if they had never been on DCL, they may not have known any different. But I agree with you- the problem is that the 12-17 year olds are all in that one space- and there is not a whole lot to even DO in that space- so kids get bored. That really IS a great thing on DCL- having the pre-teens in Edge, and the teens in Aloft or whatever it's called. BIG, BIG difference between a 12 year old and a 15 year old, not to mention a 12 year old and a 17 year old! The scheduled activities WERE seperate, there just were not that many of them, KWIM? And we did not have a flowrider on Explorer- so they tried the rock wall, ice skating, mini-golf...and then what? Checkers? Seriously??? (Although actually they also played dodgeball, basketball & lots of ping-pong- but if those things were occupied, there was nothing left). DCL does a better job of planning multiple activities as well as giving them videos etc for when they don't want to do those things. For the most part, though, as long as they could find friends in there, all was GREAT!! It was just a few times that Timmy hit it wrong-
But I think NOTHING is 100% perfection- and I would count this cruise as being really wonderful, so please don't get the idea that we were miserable because it was NOT like that AT ALL!
BTW El were those families you were with on the Explorer friends you knew from home, from the CC meet thread or just random peeps you met onboard?
They are both couples from our town- Phyllis and Al we already knew (he was one of Tyler's football coaches and she was the team photographer, as well as having a son on the team- they are an AWESOME family, we also hung out with them at BLT in the Spring when we went) and the other couple (Lisa & Eric) we had never met before, but they had a daughter who was BFFs with P&A's daughter. We all got along SO WELL! We especially spent a lot of time with P&A- they were all a blast. And none of us planned this together- it was just a happy coincidence.
Can't wait to read the trippie. No pressure to get started or anything.
Geez- I think all that I just wrote WAS the trippie!!
(coming from the one who is already having trouble keeping up!)
Shouldn't you be packing??? I just finished restoring order to our clothing/suitcase/laundry debacle- it was NO JOKE!!!
I already sent you well wishes but here are some more!!
We're thinking about ya girl!!!
