Why and how was she riding alone?
My daughter will not ride it.
She is not a ride person... had to take her on the Jungle Cruise her first time, kicking and screaming.
So I knew she wouldn't be able to ride this.
She takes after my DW - who is also terrified of any rides with big drops, fast movement or jerky motion. In fact my DW gets scared on Test Track.
My son on the other hand is a daredevil. He goes on Splash Mountain Hands up sticking his tongue out for the picture.
So me and DS went on Dinosaur, and got a Child Swap as my daughter wouldn't go.
My wife wasn't to excited to try it either. But after getting off, I told her it's not bad. It's all in your mind, yeah it's dark, and a little jerky, but that's it. Think rationally, and you know it's not real... and you will enjoy it.
She didn't want to go.
As we were leaving the park at the end of the day, we passed Dinosaur, and I told her - last chance, you will regret it later. So she took the child swap pass and went.
I waited outside with the kids, when she got to the front, they were closing the ride down. They told her they would run the ride one more time for her. There were no more guests, and she had to ride alone. She asked for a CM to ride with her, and a couple were going to, but the supervisor siad CM's can't ride with guests, and would not let them go.
So she went herself... reluctantly.
That is a pretty cool story...I bet not many people have been able to ride it in that manner!
How long before she started to talk to you again?
I would have loved to do that. I really like this ride but dw and ds don't. I don't remember the last time I got to rescue the dinosaur.
I posted this over on the main thread - but I thought it would be worthy of this thread as well.
Well we went to the Disney on Ice show yesterday morning: Dare to Dream.
Here are some shots.....
Great Job on set construction:
They started with Tiana's story:
Then Cinderella's.....Amazing Lighting effects:
Followed by the Tangled Story....here's Flynn doing his best impression of Mission Impossible:
Had to get a shot of Maximus
Frying Pan shot:
Then the parade of princesses began....obligatory Jasmine pic
Finale....pyrotechnics = good
Good times were had by all. These were the $15 tickets...not really a bad seat in the building though. $28 worth of souvenirs, $24 worth of cotton candy (I know right?? But it included a crown and stickers!), $10 for parking....it was worth it to see my girls' reactions.
Needless to say, seeing their reactions has made us even more excited for our upcoming trip!
Sometimes, that's a blessing in disguise...
Those are some great pics!
Phew!! So I caught up with all the post!! I indicated the new ones with a new tag so that everyone gets to see ya'lls without getting lost in the list. I will remove the tag in about a week!! Great pics guys!
