Yesterday's movie quote was---"I'm packing you an extra pair of shoes, and your angry eyes just in case." and........the answer is--

mrs__potato_head10.jpg

Yes it was Mrs. Potato head talking to Mr. Potato Head in Toy Story 2!!!:woohoo:

and....the ride equivalent at Disney is......

Toy Story Midway Mania in DHS!!!:yay:

Great Job Everyone!!!:dance3:

Hi Everyone!!! Well, according to Disney we are 45 days out today!!!!:woohoo: (although according to our counting we are actually 44 days (we don't count today because well....it's today!;)) So that means in a little over a month and half I can stop seeing this.......

And I can see this instead.....

(not my picture borrowed from photobucket....I still haven't gotten a good picture of the sign....hoping to this year. But....ahh..I love that sight!!!!:thumbsup2)

So, anyway on with the Shopping!!!!:yay:--I've done a little more but still have quite a few things to get!!! Thought I'd share what I've picked up recently!!

100_2521-1.jpg

100_2524-1.jpg

A couple more new shirts for the boys....Nick for the 1st day and Noah picked out the Zebra shirt! (he thought it would be appropriate for AK!!;)) Of course Phineas and Ferb swimtrunks. Oh and the bag, I got on clearance. I figured I could use it for souvenirs or to take to the water park...I'm not sure yet?:confused3

We are going shopping this weekend so hopefully we can pick up some more stuff. Here's my list of what to do/ what to get--

To Do--

-make Mousekeeping envelopes
-request 50's section at Pop
-make some activity sheets (boys) for the plane
-organize all important documents that we have to bring
-charge and put new songs on boys mp3 players
-(I'm sure there is a ton more things I'm forgetting right now???

To Buy--

-sandals for me?
-sandals for Noah (Nick and DH have already gotten new sneakers/ sandals.)
-new shirt/ lightweight jacket for me (the boys and DH already got)
-ponchos (hoping we won't have to use them as much as we did in August!)
-lots of camera batteries!!!!!!
-gum (for the plane!)
- more ear plugs for Noah (he got tubes in his ears in December...I'm a little worried about him swimming in the pools--I'll have to check with his doctor. Oh..there's another thing to add to my to do list.
-more travel items/toiletries
-tylenol for boys and us
-Hmm....what am I missing??

I'm hoping that I can get a lot accomplished this weekend!! We'll see......

For anyone still interested in what we did with the countdown calendar/ trivia questions. Here are some pictures of how the back of the Mickey Heads look with the trivia question...and then how they look underneath. I just printed pictures of some of the boys favorite attractions/rides at Disney and alternated between sticker...picture and so on as they pull off each day.

Ohhhh, I can't see your pictures but I'm assuming this pic is the wonderful Welcome to Disney World arch? Did you know you can get a picture of it from the Pop? I had no idea but I read it on another TR. I think if you climb to the top of a rubik's cube stairwell you can get it.

Is this right? Does anyone else know this for sure?

Can't wait to actually see your pics!

I've been a bad Diser the last couple of days and am behind on all my subscribed threads (even my own). It looks like you are pretty organized right now and know just what you need to do and buy. By the way, I love the red Mickey bag. Too cute!

Ooohh...that would be so cool if I could get a picture of the Disney World arch from Pop!! I'll have to look into that! Since we always rely on DME and I never get lucky enough to get a seat in the front of the bus, I have never gotten a picture of it...and I really want one!!!!!;)

Me too!! I love the Mickey bag!! I really didn't need it but I thought it was sooo cute! I just had to have it....the best part was that it was on clearance for only $5.00. :woohoo:

the countdown calendar is adorable!

I need to get organized for our April trip!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!:goodvibes The calendar was fun to make and the boys have had a great time with the trivia questions!!:thumbsup2

I love the Phineas and Ferb swim trunks. Jonah would LOVE those...my boys really get a kick out of that show!

Nice to-do list! :thumbsup2

Big news on the vacation front here....Jeff and I have decided to book a cruise in May! Ok...so it's not Disney, but I insisted that we leave from Port Canaveral so we can try to squeeze in a little bit of my Happy Place! We are planning to spend 3 days in Orlando, so we'll definitely do DTD...maybe a lunch or dinner at one of the resorts. Whether or not we go to the parks remains to be seen.

We go totally dumped on with snow this weekend....looks like you did as well! ;)

I hear ya on seeing the WDW gate (well, all of WDW actually!) instead of snow! Can't wait for spring.

YAY!! for a cruise!!!:yay: That's so exciting Missy!! I would love to take one someday!!That's great that you are able to spend a few days in Orlando as well. Have you thought about volunteering in the GAD promotion so that you could use the vouchers to visit one of the parks while you are there? I know there are a few opportunities that you could do at home. (making blankets or the USO book drive...there's lots of info on the GAD board if you're interested.:thumbsup2) I'm so happy for you!! I know you are going to have a great time!!!!!:woohoo:

Me either!!! I'm so tired of snow!!! Can't wait to be in Disney!! Is it April yet?

Hi Everyone!!:goodvibes Hope you had a good weekend!! Not so good here...:sad2: I kept Nick home on Friday because he was complaining of an ear ache. I gave him Tylenol through out the day and he seemed to be getting better until about 8:00pm that night, when he started holding his ear and crying. (this is not like Nick....there have actually been times when he has had an ear infection and didn't complain or even tell us. We didn't find out until he was taken to the doctor for something else.) Anyway, I gave him some Ibuprofen and the heating pad and thankfully he fell asleep. In the morning when he woke up, he said he was feeling better but we noticed his ear was draining fluid mixed with some blood.) The doctor's office was closed so we brought him up to the ER. Apparently, there was so much fluid in his ear and it ruptured his eardrum.:sad2: Poor kid...so now we have to take him to ear, nose, and throat specialist to make sure it's going to heal properly. It came on so quickly too--he only started complaining of pain Friday morning. Luckily, he's back to his smiley self today, with very little pain. Hopefully he'll be all better soon!!!:thumbsup2

On to some Disney news!!! If you happened to read my to do list, one of the things that I still need to do is to request a room in the 50's at Pop. So far we have stayed in the 70's, 80's and 90's sections. We figured staying in the 50's section would give us a change of scenery!;) However...I was just reading on another thread that they are renovating Pop!!:woohoo: They have started in the 70's section and are putting in new carpet, bedding, new flat screen TV. I think they are also updating the bathrooms. Take a look--(just scroll down to the 70's section)
http://allears.net/acc/g_pop.htm

It supposed to be finished in about 12 weeks? Now....I'm wondering do we request the 50's and hope for renovated room or request the 70's again...hmmmm?

So, after the weekend there was a small piece of good news!! I woke up this morning, checked my email and...............

We got our vouchers for the GAD Promotion!! Yay! I'm so excited!!:yay: I still need to get them printed but I thought it was a really fast turnaround. I sent the blankets out last Monday (priority mail). They were pending verification on Friday and we received them this morning!!! AK here we come!!!!:thumbsup2

Have a great day!!!! Oh and check back tomorrow....more movie trivia!!!;)

First off, I've gotta do a little dance for Missy booking a cruise and spending some time in Orlando. :dance3::banana::cool1::woohoo::yay::cheer2:

Angie, I am sorry to hear about Nick's ear. I have been extremely fortunate with my kids. The ONLY problem we had with their ears was Lacey had swimmer's ear a couple of times during the Summer. I hope that Nick is doing better really soon.

My goodness, the GAD vouchers really did get to you quickly. I'm trying to get Lacey's mission group to do the GAD program. They go to Orlando every year for a conference and they could use their one day tickets to actually go to a park instead of just settling for shopping at DTD.

Sorry to hear about Nick's ear... I hope he heals up quickly. :goodvibes

The new rooms at POP look great!! I would request a renovated 50s room as a first choice and a renovated room in a different section as a second choice - emphasizing that you would really like a renovated room. :thumbsup2

I need to work on our room request too...

I know.....sooooo happy for Missy!!:dance3:

We were really surprised about Nick's ear. Noah's always been the one with ear troubles.. (ear infections, swimmer's ear, tubes) Nick rarely has an ear infection and then this happens....poor kid!

GAD would be a great opportunity for Lacey's mission group to be able to visit a park while they are in Orlando. What a good idea!! It really was a great experience overall!! We're soooo happy that we did it!!:goodvibes

I need to work on our room request too...

Thanks!! He's already feeling better, hardly any pain and very little hearing loss. The doctor said that's a good sign that it will heal pretty quickly.

Love the new rooms at Pop!!:thumbsup2 Although, I'm really surprised that they are renovating them already. It seems like I've read that All-Star Movies is in desperate need of renovations?:confused3 I think it's the only value resort that hasn't been done? Thanks for the tip on the request. We'd definitely like a renovated room if we could get one!:thumbsup2

Hi Angie! Okay, I had to backtrack quite a bit...
LOVE the pictures from Epcot, the playground looks like fun and a great way to break up the day a bit! And, I must say your parents are so sweet! Love that in each picture they have their arms around eachother, it just made me smile!!:lovestruc

Sorry to hear about Nick's ear, hopefully he will have a quick recovery!

Awesome your vouchers came already:cool1::cool1:, that was a really quick turnaround time!! Here's some Pixie Dust for an updated POP roompixiedust: I love the new look there, nice updates!!

That Mickey bag is really cute!! I really like red bags!! The boys swim trunks are really cool too! I think Gabe would like that!! I hope you can cross more things off your list soon! My list seems to be never ending!

Great updates!! Looking forward to more trivia, I knew the last one but was too late!:goodvibes

:scared1: Oh no!

I agree with what's been said. Emphasize your desire for a renovated room be it in the 50's or 70's section. They certainly look snazzy!

Yay for the GAD vouchers! Gosh things are coming up quickly. I can't believe its already March
!

Poor Nick!

And poor mama, its just as hard on us in a different way.

Great news on your GAD vouchers, ours were amazingly fast as well, very impressive!

Oh boy....poor Nick! I hope he is feeling better. :goodvibes

Thanks for the PM about the blankets...I'm going to go to JoAnn today and see what I can find!

I say request the 50s section at POP...why not try each one once! ;)

Hi Beth!:goodvibes

We had a great time at Epcot!! (both trips) My boys loved finding that play area! We are on a mission this year to find some more!! It was great break for the adults too!;)

Nick's doing much better. He has an appt. tomorrow with the doctor to see how everything is healing. Hopefully, it will go well!!

Thanks for the pixie dust on the updated room at Pop!!:goodvibes Love the updates...hoping they get over to the 50's because we really have our heart set on staying there.

The boys love Phineas and Ferb!! So, when they saw the swim trunks they grabbed them!! I hear you on the never ending list....just when I think I've narrowed it down- I keep thinking of more things to buy! ;)

:scared1: Oh no!

I know....can't believe that I can say that we are going to Disney next month!!!:woohoo: I think that's what we are going to do...as far as requests go. We really want a renovated room! I'm hoping that they get over to the 50's though. We liked the 70's (at least how close it was to the Classic hall...but it really noisy-especially since that Twister game was outside our room and people were actually playing it at midnight! UGH!)

Nick's doing better today!! He went to school! His class is putting on a pretend Newscast this afternoon about explorers and the parent's are invited. It should be fun!:)

Poor Nick!

And poor mama, its just as hard on us in a different way.

Great news on your GAD vouchers, ours were amazingly fast as well, very impressive!

Ahh...I know..poor kid! I felt so bad for him and I felt so terrible because I thought maybe I should have brought him to the doctor's that afternoon. But, it seemed like he was getting better and his pediatrician has always told me with earaches/ ear infections to wait a day or two because a lot of them go away on their own without antibiotics. I never realized that this was going to happen.:sad2:

I printed the GAD vouchers last night and they are ready to go!! Can't wait!:woohoo:

Oh boy....poor Nick! I hope he is feeling better. :goodvibes

Thanks for the PM about the blankets...I'm going to go to JoAnn today and see what I can find!

I say request the 50s section at POP...why not try each one once! ;)

He is feeling better.:goodvibes He even went to school this morning so I have a chance to get caught up on some DIS time!;)

Good luck at JoAnn's today! They had a pretty good selection when we were there. I had priced fabric at other places and that seemed like the best deal.:thumbsup2

We really want to try the 50's! Even though we are staying at the same resort...it's something new for us to try too!!;)
