Poly has connecting studios. Others have adjoining studios but the extent to which they exist vary among the resorts. For example, BWV has many dedicated studios (they can only be studios) that are next to other dedicated studios. Also, its lock-off 2BRs (connecting 1BRs and studios) have an alternating room structure as you go down the hall -- e.g., a lock-off will have a 1BR then a studio as you walk down the hall and then the next 2BR lock-off is first a studio and then a 1BR, followed by another that is a 1BR and then a studio etc., so that you end up with many studios next to each other. However, at some other resorts there can be few if any adjoining studios, e.g., AKV Kidani on the floor of any particular building section will have three 2BRs on each side of the hall but often structured, as you are going down the hall, as either one 2BR lock-off, followed a dedicated 2BR (it can only be a 2BR), followed by another 2BR lock-off, or, alternatively, a dedicated 2BR followed by a 2BR lock-off, followed by another dedicated 2BR, with the result that there are few adjoining studios at the resort.
At Poly the request for connecting studios has a high probability of being met since 90% or more of the studios connect to another studio (the ones that don't are usually a couple, one on each side of a floor in a DVC building, on a floor that has an odd number of rooms on each side. The success of having an adjoining studios request met at other DVC resorts (even including BWV) has not been that good based on reports over the years -- many end up with studios fairly near each other or at least on the same floor but not adjoining.
