We were thinking of doing it on the 3rd to see the 4th preview too (it would help to know that we'd have our own 'space' on a night that will be totally crowded,) but my fear is that they would close the parks early that day due to the crowds and we hadn't planned on being there all day. If we have an ADR, will they let us in, even if it's closed? I forget the order of closures and what each level means.

Just so you know in the past I have not heard of it closing on the 3rd. There was one year when it closed mid day- but then reopened later. As an on-site guest you are down the list for the order of closing. Although on the 4th it did close to even resort guests some years. But trust me if it's that crowded you don't want to be there.

Do you think its best to book AKL CL room only so I can reserve earlier? Or if I wait for packages, will there still be rooms available?

If you call Disney directly for the ressie, you should be able to change the room only to a package at a later date (or add any discounts if they become available). If you're really concerned about making sure you have the room, I would book room only now. Be aware they will quote a price from the most expensive season (though if you're not going during that season, the price should come down once next year's rates are released), and you will be charged the first night on your credit card (but you have up until 5 days prior to check in to cancel a room-only--this is different from the package cancellation rules).

Thanks! I went ahead and emailed IPO for the 3rd. I just don't want to be out that money if it ends up closing and we can't get in :thumbsup2

Just curious about the pre- 4th fireworks? Does that mean they do a display that is longer/bigger than the regular Wishes display?

We are actually staying the last two nights of our stay at the POLY(changed our plans yet again), so I'm wondering if we will get a treat on the 3rd being that we will be Lagoon View of the club level so should be able to see the display from our room or even the beach if we feel like it.

Where is the info about this dessert party?

I can't say for sure about the preview since we normally go the week after the 4th, but from what I read on here, it's not WISHES, it's a totally different show that I believe is also longer. Maybe someone else can clarify more for you.

Here's the dessert party info from allearsnet

Just spent a week at BWI-CL June 6 - 13 and loved it. We did the DDP and ended up with many QS left that we burned up on my oldest brother and snacks.

Since it was a littler hotter and more humid than we were use to, the lounge was nice to come back to throughout the day/evening to relax, have a bite, grab a snack, have a beer...

Every morning they had soy milk boxes ready for the kids - and after the first day, never had to ask. Lorenzo would see us in there and bring them right out. We ate breakfast in the lounge every morning. Also, every day, we would get a few 1 liter glass bottles of water - just have to ask. I didn't grab many photos of the lounge, but did get a few of the room.

We did as suggested, when we arrived at BWI, I told the Bell desk we are staying Club Level and they walked us up. Pete at the Inkeepers desk had DW's and kidlets escorted to the lounge while my brother and I checked in.

I think CL is the way to go for us from now on.

These folks are awesome.
Any email I have sent has been given a reply within hours. Messages are always super friendly. Recently, I was in a bit of a quandry and Alex (Alexandra) went really out of her way to get information for me. Never would I have been able to do this on my own.

(She may give AKL's Don a run for his money for best IPO CM, IMO, which is a huge compliment in my book).

BTW, does anyone know the email address to send messages of great work of CM's to management?

Just had to let others know how efficient, helpful and delightful the YC/BC IPO is. We are only staying BC for a few nights and then to Poly CL for the rest of our stay. BC IPO has arranged everything for our trip and has done a great job.

I am sorry if this has already been discussed somewhere on this thread, but we leave tomorrow and I sadly don't have time to read through 181 pages. I have read through this thread over the past months, but I wasn't really thinking of this question until now. I was not planning on taking my laptop to Disney b/c I read that there was something like a $10 per day charge to use it in the resorts. Do you know if there's an area on the Concierge Level where you can use your internet free?

Thanks in advance!

No, WDW resorts don't have free internet anywhere unless possibly in the convention center resorts.

I wanted to report a great experience with the YC IPO in making our ADRs and tour ressies this a.m. Only one ADR is off by a bit from the requested time [Garden Grill, go figure?]. Everything else is perfect. Kudos!

We are really starting to get excited. I have to say having the IPO handle everything is reason enough for springing for CL by itself......

DH-2-mamaduck,
Thanks for posting the pics and review of the BWI. I love the new rooms. They are so pretty. It is nice to see a good review. I am thinking about staying there next year. Probably do a BWI-GF split stay.

That IS a HUGE compliment. . . Don is WONDERFUL to work with!!!:thumbsup2
He just called yesterday to check in that everything was set for us - such amazing service! - can't wait to get back to AKL CL:cool1:

That's my idea of a perfect split stay! Then you get the convenience of the monorail for half your trip and the lovely Crescent Lake area for the other half.

I second the two thumbs up on BWI. We just returned from 6/11 - 6/19 trip and had a very similar view as the poster above. Room 4206 fantastic garden view. We were originally given a gorgeous boardwalk view but I was afraid of the noise reports and it had a king bed vs. the 2 doubles I needed...Loved my garden view room! Loved Pete and Lorenzo and all the staff was terrific. We are going back on bounceback in December and can hardly wait. I do plan to stay CLub again thougth it was invaluable to me in the summer heat not sure cost justified in December but I loved it that much!

That would be good to know. . .

I have always had great success using this e-mail addy for compliments:

WDW.Guest.Communications@disneyworld.com

I have had feedback from CMs who indicated they did receive the kudos via the appropriate channels. The e-mails apparently filter down from guest services to the appropriate managers and finally the CMs themselves. The communications are then a part of their work history. At least that's my understanding of how it works.
