There are a couple of options for sending your updates (pics) to me. If you plan to take pictures with your phone, you can either text them to me (or send by iMessage, since I see you also have an IPhone) from your phone or email them to me. I just need at least a short description of what the picture is and where it's from. But I also welcome your comments and/or more detailed descriptions too, if you choose to include them. If instead, you plan to take pictures with a regular camera and are able to download them to a laptop, IPad, etc. and then email them to me while you are at Disney World, then that would also work fine for me.

So if you think either of these methods might work for you, then I would love to have you join the March team of live reporters.

And no problem with the delay, as the thread is pretty active right now with Disney World reporters. However, things will be slowing way down in another 10 days or so, so I might save your cruise pics to post then. Would that be okay?

Let's start out this evening with an update from Angebee.

She said, "Yesterday was our full Epcot day! We were so excited to FINALLY ride Test Track after 18 years of waiting that we forgot breakfast.

So we grabbed these..."

"For our second breakfast (we're hobbits ), Dad and I split an Apple Danish while Kit and Mom had a bagel w/ cream cheese & jelly. The danish was like mom's pies: delicious. Kit likes her bagels soft all the way but still enjoyed the crispness on the outside of this one."

"Electric Umbrella for lunner (lunch/dinner) because I wanted points! We were underwhelmed here. "Caesar salad" had too-tough-to-chew chicken w/ more of a ranch than Caesar dressing. The cookies for dessert crumbled at first bite. Burgers were good though."

Les Halles

"And we got dad his birthday dessert a day late! Creme Brulee from France's Patisserie. He's glad he tried it but won't have another. The rest of us devoured our treats. (Strawberry tart, chocolate mousse & duo au chocolate.) Mom's mousse was rich but I want another tart!!"

Thank you!! Those WERE from a nice camera (Canon DSLR), but we've had an SD card malfunction (it had wireless transmission!!), so all future pics will be iPhone!! So bummed, but oh well.

Oh thats cool! I have heard about those wireless cards. I hope you still were able to take pictures on the nice camera!

She said, "We were two minutes late and Be our Guest had closed [at 2:30], so we ate at Columbia Harbour House."

"The 6 year old went with Mac 'n cheese."

"3 year old had tuna fish."

"DH had fried fish and couscous. He liked the fish but thought the couscous needed more...Something?"

"Now we're hanging out at the pool. I have a pina colada..."

Sci-Fi Dine-in

Emily said, "We split this Angus Beef Build-your-own-Burger. Ours had swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato. You could choose from swiss, cheddar, and american cheese. For a dollar more, you can also add on sauteed mushrooms caramelized onion, or sauerkraut. For the sides, you can choose from a cucumber salad or french fries."​

This is a three-part update from Kerri (wdwpirates).



First they had breakfast today at...


Beach Club Marketplace

Kerri said, "We just grabbed some baked goods as we really weren't in the mood for anything too heavy. I chose a plain croissant, Jim went with the chocolate croissant and he also picked out an apple blossom. The plain croissant was awesome! Buttery and crispy on the outside...nice and soft on the inside. I had grabbed a couple butter packets but didn't even need them. Delish! Jim said he loved the chocolate croissant...nice and sweet! It was his fav! The apple blossom was great, too. A nice crispy pasty filled with diced apples...a filling similar to apple pie. It was topped with granola and pecans and a maple drizzle. Would definitely get that tasty morsel again!"





"Next we headed to MK for the day and stopped for lunch at..."

"Cosmic Ray's...it's a tradition for us. We went with an order of chicken nuggets and fries and a pulled pork Sammie with fries. We split both. The chicken was standard...nothing great...but Jim loves those little nuggets! The pulled pork is super tasty! The have a great BBQ sauce / marinade...and the pork is very tender. The fries were very nice..hot and crispy....no limp issues like ABC Comm yesterday! LOL!"





Then for a snack they headed to...

"Jim really wanted a funnel cake with soft serve vanilla ice cream on top. And I went with a chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream. Tasty as always!!"

Let's begin today with Tony's Town Square dinner update #1 from Emily & Brenda.


Tony's Town Square

"Delicious garlicy rolls with very nice olive oil with herbs."

"Cannelloni stuffed with ground beef, sausage, mozzarella, and ricotta and served with a marinara sauce, as well as a cream sauce."

"Shrimp scampi with linguini, asparagus, and sun-dried tomatoes. The sauce was a garlic sauce. It was very oily, very garlicy, and very delicious."

"Pistachio creme brulee with a birthday twist. I was pleasantly surprised with this. The flavor was very rich and creamy.
Maybe I'm just crazy, but I swear it tasted a little like coconut."

Our next dinner update from yesterday was sent to us by superchime and is a first for the Live Thread.


She and her family had dinner last night at the Caribbean Beach Resort's...


Shutters



She said, "I'd read some negative reviews of Shutters, so I wasn't hoping for much but apparently they have a new chef and we had a great dinner."




First a menu pic...

"Sorry for the glare. I couldn't find any way to photograph it that wasn't glarey."

"White super fruit sangria. Yum."

"DH's Agave Nectar Margarita. Also yum!"

"The kids went with pizza, but I was happy to see a lot of good choices on the kids menu: steak, grilled chicken, fish, and ribs."

Vegetarian Pasta Piquant with spinach and goat cheese


"This had a little kick to it, which I liked. They also threw in some extra veggies to make up for the lack of meat."


"This was the only vegetarian option listed on the menu (besides salads) but our waitress said they could work up other options on the fly. We'll eat there again later in the week, so I appreciate that. I also explained the game to our waitress when she wondered why I was photographing the food."

"DH was excited about several options on the menu but went with the special. Pork brisket with a BBQ-ish sauce, green beans, and a yummy little side with lump crab, shrimp, and corn topped with bread crumbs and baked. He liked that the best."




"The waitress said this will be added to the permanent menu soon."




"The little guy was "done" with the whole dining experience early, so we bailed on dessert but DH was kind enough to take a picture of our older son's ice cream..."

"I think the look on his face says it all. We didn't let the younger one know what he missed." ​

"Pap, root vegetable salad (undercooked!), and lentils."

"We are permanently crossing Boma off our list. Dinner tonight would have been $140 OOP with drinks and tip. I have eaten better fast food. I don't mean to be harsh and after 14 yrs. I certainly realize Disney's limitations... also, I am a chef.....but, this dinner was our Boma swan song."

Our last dinner update sent to us yesterday was from Kerri (wdwpirates).

First a menu pic...

Kerri said, "We started with complimentary rolls and olive oil for dipping. The rolls are brushed with garlic butter and are served fresh and hot. The olive oil is a great accompaniment to the garlicky rolls."

Caesar Salad - Romaine lettuce tossed in Caesar Dressing topped with Romano Cheese and Crostini


"Jim and I both ordered Caesar salads for apps. Great fresh salads dressed perfectly. Good Caesar dressing....I love when you can actually taste the anchovies! Yum! And awesome homemade croutons....nothing prepackaged about them."

Grilled Pork Tenderloin with mushroom marsala sauce, mashed butternut squash, and seasonal vegetables


"Jim went with the pork tenderloin for his main and I stayed with the tried and true chicken parm. The winner was the pork! Super moist with a very good mushroom sauce! It was served with a side of mashed butternut squash. Awesome! Just a hint of cinnamon. I was sure that Jim was going to lick his plate!"

Chicken Parmigiana - Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast with Marinara sauce topped with Melted Mozzarella over Spaghetti


"My chicken parm was good. Pasta was cooked perfectly. The cutlet was nicely breaded and seasoned. Not a thick breading...just enough. The sauce is the weakest part of the dish. It needs more garlic....but then again I think everything needs more garlic!!"

"Dessert was quite good also. Jim went with Tiramisu. It was served nicely in a large white coffee cup. I didn't try any but he said "it was the bomb"!"

"I had the chocolate gelato. Served with a chocolate chip biscotti and topped with a few Mickey sprinkles. Creamy and chocolately! Perfect ending to this meal!"




"What a great meal! I think Tony's gets a bad rap sometimes. But we really enjoyed our meal here tonight."

We have already received 7 updates from our live reporters today (including a surprise update from Disneyland). So I'm going to get an early start and post a few of these while I eat my own rather boring lunch.

Our First Update of the Day was sent to us by milmore104.

She said, "We skipped breakfast yesterday. My mom needed a little extra sleep so we hung in the room until she was ready.
We stopped at Pepper Market yet again for a quick lunch before heading out."

"My mom and I split the Panini of the Day which was turkey with a Southwest sauce.
It was good but only one slice of meat on it. It came with chips."

She and her DBF were at Downtown Disney last night and had dinner at...



Raglan Road



Kathy said, "So we only booked Raglan Road because of this thread! And we were not disappointed!! I loved the atmosphere in here, but it was definitely loud. But we liked the band a lot. Luckily, we were at one of the high pub tables as you enter, so not too loud for us."

"This place felt like you HAD to have beer, so I did! Sam Adams beer flight. Loved the cherry wheat."




"The waiter teased us with some kind of cheddar beer soup, and Steve tried to order that, but it was all gone. BOOOO!"


"Oh well. On to the food. He ordered..."

Lambo - Lamb shank braised in rosemary jus with mash, leeks, shiitake mushrooms, and baby carrots


"He loved this. Thought it was spectacular."

Serious Steak - 10 oz sirloin topped with Irish whiskey marmalade glaze, with fresh basil oil, mashed potatoes, and topped with crispy fried onion strings


"I had the Serious Steak which was the reason I booled here. Lol. It did not disappoint. So yummy and cooked perfectly."





"For dessert Steve had the bread pudding. In hindsight, he should have asked what this really had because as you see below, the description tells you nothing. It had raisins and butterscotch and he doesn't really care for either."

Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding - Like no other pudding you have ever tried. Believe us.




"I tried it and thought it was amazing. But it was really heavy. I was trying to go lighter so I ordered the..."

Fluffy Lemon Clouds - Intense lemon curd tart topped with fluffy meringue


"It was good, but nothing to write home about. I like my mom's meringue better."



"Overall, this place did not let us down. Will definitely be back."
