"Drinks: Coke, iced tea, chocolate milk shake, root beer float. Tea tasted fresh brewed. We all had some of the shake. Yum!"

Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken served with mashed potatoes, chicken gravy and corn


"Dad had Aunt Liz's Fried Chicken. Taters w/ gravy. Subbed collar greens for corn. Kit (DSis) and I had the same but no gravy. Kit actually picked the plate clean, including the breading! We all liked it."

Mom's Old Fashioned Pot Roast - Slow cooked 'til fork tender, served with mashed potatoes, carrots, celery and onions


"Mom had the pot roast with regular sides. She raved how it was fall off the fork tender. I had a bite and nearly finished it for her myself. No dessert because we hope to go to World Showcase if it doesn't downpour again."



"We had underwhelming antics but great food!"

Kathy and her DBF had dinner last night at the Polynesian Resort's...

Kathy said, "We finally got to try 'Ohana for the first time!!"

'Ohana Welcome Bread



"Loved the bread."

"Those dumplings were my favorite anywhere. And I could have eaten a bucket of the noodles yum!! The salad was forgettable for us. The dressing was alright, but once we heard how much food was coming, we pushed it aside!!"

"The meats were all yummy! I really liked the steak, but both of us really loved the pork. DBF especially loved the shrimp too. The chicken came right off the grill to our table and was good. But for our money, the pork is the winner."





"And the star of the show...."

"This was so good, and kinda of light, but delicious? How delicious?..."

Hi Barb. Although I leave disney on the 25th I'm still there until the 4th May. Id be happy to carry on with updates at universal etc. I just thought it was disney ones you were interested in

That would be great, I'll amend your trip dates on my list. I think it's nice to have some variety here on the live thread, so I'm happy to include Universal, Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Disney cruises, etc. updates.

Hi Barb!

I wanted to touch base to see if you would be interested in food pictures from Winter Haven, Florida and Legoland. Our Disney May trip will start on May 28th, possibly the evening of the 27th, but we will be traveling to Legoland first. We will leave home on May 25th and spend two days there before we start the Disney portion of our trip.

Just let me know if you think Legoland pictures would be interesting to everyone.

RECRUITMENT TIME!!! ​

As you may have noticed, the live thread is again very active. With today's arrivals, we will have 7 active reporters at Disney World and by this weekend we should have 9. So the next couple of weeks look to be a time of feast, but unfortunately the middle two weeks of March will be a time of famine for the live thread unless we have some more volunteers. Beginning on March 11th and through the 21st, we have only one volunteer for most of those 10 days. In fact, due to a previous volunteer having to postpone their trip, we have absolutely no one to do live reports on the 18th and 19th. So anyone that is planning a mid-March trip, please consider doing some live updates. Also, any of you who are active on other forums of the DIS, please feel free to promote this thread and encourage people to check it out. Perhaps with some new followers, we will find some new volunteers.

Thanks everyone for your help and be sure to check back tonight for many more great updates from our current live from Disney World reporting team.

Love all the updates!!! So neat to see Pepper Market, we'll be there in 1 month and 3 days! Everything looks especially delicious today. I think this tread might be interfering with my diet!!! I want to try the blueberry croissant bread pudding! NOW!!!!

First up is an update from milmore104.


Last night they were at Magic Kingdom...

And had dinner at...


Columbia Harbour House

"My mom had the lobster roll. It came with chips and she got a chocolate milk to drink.
She said "It was ok but not a lot of lobster meat."

"My DD had the Lighthouse salad. It's a pre-dressed salad with a light Italian dressing and grilled chicken in it.
However there wasn't much chicken. Only 2 pieces. She said it was good though."

"I had the fried shrimp with fries and coleslaw. I thought it was good. The shrimp were very crispy.
The slaw was good too. It was overloaded with dressing!"

"And of course we got another churro while watching the parade."




"We made a quick stop in the Main Street Confectionery and picked up a few snacks."

"The Mickey hat Brownies were good but again the brownie was dry."






"However the Mickey sugar cookies were great!"

"Then we closed down the MK..."

"My little DDs split 2 meals - one got the kids platter with eggs, bacon, and potatoes and the other got the Mickey waffles with bacon."

"My mom got the spinach frittata. She said it was real good."

"My oldest DD and I split the Mickey waffle and sausage and also the ham and eggs wrap.
The waffle was way overcooked. We didn't eat it."

"The wrap was excellent. I find sometimes the eggs are watery but this wasn't. I put salsa in mine."

Then they were off to Epcot, where they stopped at...



Club Cool

She said, "Of course I did the Beverly trick to my mom."

"She didn't like it."

Yasai - fresh seasonal vegetables


Emily said, "I wasn't very hungry, so I ordered the vegetable entree. It was very good, and our teppan chef put some ginger sauce on top of the veggies (broccoli, shredded carrots, and mushrooms) for me."

"Our entrees were served with white rice and udon noodles with zucchini and onion."



"Now I can't believe that I did this but I forgot to take a picture of my mom's meal. She had the chicken and shrimp meal."

"Complimentary Ginger Cake for my birthday and an origami bow. The cake was very good, as usual."

Thank you!! Those WERE from a nice camera (Canon DSLR), but we've had an SD card malfunction (it had wireless transmission!!), so all future pics will be iPhone!! So bummed, but oh well.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to pop in and say hello!

I will be in the world from March 6 thru 12th celebrating my birthday.
I have volunteered to do live dining updates during my trip.

This will be my first time doing live dining updates, and am looking forward to sharing my food excursions with every one.

I'm on the deluxe dining plan, so will have some great things to share!
