Club Level DLH / Am I too late....... Update

What do you get with club level? Is it a huge difference in price from a standard room?
Club Level varies by hotel. PPH hotel can be anywhere from $100-200, DLH is $150-250, and the Grand is usually $250-300 per night. You get 2 32 ounce Dasani waters, access to the lounge, the food in the lounge varies, but generally for breakfast it includes fruit, a meat tray, bagels, toast, muffins, cereals, boiled eggs, juice, coffee tea milk and granola bars. During lunch there will be snacks (grand has finger sandwiches) and dinner has 2-3 hot items and desserts. You can also borrow movies for the DVD players.

I was quoted that the cost will be $225 per night additional to add this. We have a family group of 10, so that makes it very do-able. As in splitting the cost 10 ways, makes it affordable for our group. Its our 1st time to splurge on this.

The E-Ticket Club is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and provides guests with the following complimentary offerings:

In the evening, the club is perfect for viewing the “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular with music piped in throughout!
  • Magical Beginnings (6:30-10 a.m.) – Continental breakfast bar with an assortment of fresh pastries, fruit, cereal and morning beverages.
  • Intermission (11 a.m. – 4 p.m.) – Light refreshments, snacks and beverages.
  • Magic Hours (5-7 p.m.) – Hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, as well as wine and beer.
  • Sweet Dreams (8-10 p.m.) – Delicious desserts and after-dinner beverages.

You had me at wine and beer

LOL!!!

We had some friends join us on our last trip. They stayed at the Hotel but didn't not stay club level with us. One afternoon, I asked if she could join me and they said for sure. I'm not a drinker, (the value for us is there are 9 of us so pop and breakfast more than pay for it) but we sat there and she had a "few" beers and her girls snacked on the fruit they had out. We had such a nice time just visiting and watching people in DTD. When we left she proclaimed "now this is the way to do it, an afternoon break with a great view and drinks flowing".

This year we asked if they wanted to join us for vacation -- and it was a resounding "only if we can get one of those club rooms".

So caution -- it's one of those you might be hooked on once you try it.

Sounds great !
I'm looking forward to getting spoiled and spoiling my family members.

Now fingers crossed, wishing on a star and gathering the Pixie Dust ..... That we'll be able to get this.

Just received another reply from Disney stating there is no guarantee that this will be available when we check in. I have also been told it's guaranteed for us and then this newest reply...... Makes me nervous the not knowing. But I'm thinking positive that our wish will be granted.
Check in is Aug 15th ......

Deep breathing ...... Positive thinking.

A little lengthy .....
Update on our visit to Disneyland, 3 Bedroom Suite and Club Level. Our group of 10 (ages 7 to 66) checked in on Aug 15th, approx 10:30am. Our rooms / Suite wasn't ready (which we knew probably wouldn't be). Also stated that our suite would be ready by 3pm. They asked if we wanted to add the Club Level as they saw from my notes that we were interested in that. I asked which Tower our suite would be in and they stated Adventure Tower. I said "YES" ! Please add the Club Level. Our group was escorted to the Adventure Tower by a CM and given a tour of the Lounge and was invited to go ahead and eat / drink and enjoy the view. It was very nice. Not a lot of food selection at that time, but they were in transition to lunch. The CM that escorted us reassured us that yes, our suite was in the Adventure Tower. Yay !

After a brief snack ...... time to go to Disneyland ! ! !

3:30pm no call from DLH about our room. It was HOT out and the kids wanted to swim. We'd been up since 4am. I called and asked if our suite was ready. "No, Suites take longer" I was told. 4:15pm they called and our suite was ready. Time to settle in and go for a swim. I asked for our room number .........3rd floor Frontier Tower (?) What ???? I asked why were we in that tower. They said "3 bedroom suites are only in the Frontier Tower".
We went to our room, bell service arrived. I'm on the phone talking to Guest Services at DLH. I told everyone else to just unpack swimwear and go swimming while I talked to GS. I asked what happened to the Adventure Tower Suite that we were told we had. They said I could go back to the main GS in Fantasy Tower or I could go to the E-Ticket Lounge and discuss it with them if I didn't like our room placement. I left the others for them to go swim and went to the Lounge. Lovely CM's, very pleasant .....but where they placed us was all they had for us. The process of talking to them took atleast 45 minutes. If we wanted 3 seperate regular rooms (none on the same floor and 1 not in the same Tower) they could move us. I asked why were we told at check in and from the CM that escorted us there that we were in the Adventure Tower. They had no answer, but said they would note that to the CM's at the registration area. I was also, told I could of course cancel the Club Level. Sadly I did. It was perplexing as to why all the different information given and then it wasn't what we got as to our room location. Maybe if I wasn't so tired from our early flight and the disappointed of being told one thing and totally not what we got I might have not canceled it. We decided as a group that the suite was lovely and that we were ready to enjoy our stay and not let the room placement dampen the magic. The CM at the Lounge did comp us with dining vouchers for our group. Which was very nice of her / Disney to do.

We used the dining vouchers at Goofy's Kitchen for dinner on Friday. It was our last meal before we headed to the airport. Our dinner was at 4:30pm. The restaurant was fairly empty for the 1st hour. The food was hot and fresh. Good selection.
Lots of fun character interaction ! Lots of laughter ! Lots of Disney Magic !
A great ending to a fun 5 days !

We also booked the PTNP Aladdin's Oasis Package & WOC Dessert Party. They were fabulous !
Also, booked the Frozen Pre-Show (which had some difficulties with that) but that's another story........

We all enjoyed our stay at Disneyland and are ready to go again.

Any questions ..... feel free to ask.

I asked why were we in that tower. They said "3 bedroom suites are only in the Frontier Tower".
I'm sad to tell you that isn't true. Perhaps they meant they only had 3 bedroom suites available in the Frontier tower. I know they have 2 in the Adventure tower, as that is where I am usually put. But, there are only 2 in the Adventure tower.

I thought their comment was odd. As I had heard there was some in the Adventure Tower and with 2 CM's that morning telling us that's where we were going to be. Miscommunication ? Possibly. I don't argue with people, but I did let them know I was disappointed. I had booked our suite in February so it wasn't like it was last minute. Also, my #1 request was to be in the Adventure Tower. Which I know is a "request and not a guarantee." I decided also not to let it ruin our time there. I knew my attitude would affect the rest of our family group. For some it was their 1st time to Disneyland. I made some Magic along the way for our group and we did have a wonderful time. I did leave a comment at GS and also wrote a brief letter. We love Disney and know they deal with lots of issues.
CM's are human, misinformation happens. Sometimes you need to lend a hand and make your own Magic.

I'm so sorry for your disappointment, I have felt your pain. I wish they would just tell you when you booked where you were going to be and then let you decide but I also understand why that wasn't possible. I would bet someone that was in the room in Adventure Tower extended their stay. Glad you didn't let it ruin your stay.......I've kind of learned to stay away from the 3 bedroom suites because as Malcon 10t pointed out, most are not in Adventure Tower.

Thanks for all your good thoughts our way.
I knew you'd want to know how it worked out. Already planning our next trip back in December ...... I won a contest !!!! I love Christmas at Disneyland .... We're going the 1st week of December and staying at DLH.

That sounds disappointing, but I know you still had a good time overall.
How was the 3 bedroom? Was it themed?

Yes, a wonderful time was had by all. The 3 bedroom suite was a little odd, it was actually 3 rooms / suites with attached doors.

1. 1 bedroom was regular room w 2 queen bed, parking lot view.

2. 1 bedroom had a king bed and couch that could fold out. It faced the downtown Disney side, but being on the 3rd floor only trees were visible. It had a balcony door.

3. 1 room had a bedroom with a king bed, it faced the pool side but all you saw was trees. Also had 1 1/2 baths, front room with fold out couch queen size. A bar /counter seating. It had a balcony door that we never could open.

All rooms had a mini fridge.

All had Disney themes as in pictures of Walt by the castle, lamps & faucets in sink areas w Mickey hands. Bathrooms w Mickey's on the shower handles. Carpeting w swirls of hidden Mickeys.
