Does anyone have a recipe that uses Chinese Five Spice? The last time I was at the spice store I broke down & bought some thinking I had a bunch of recipes that called for it that I wanted to try. When I did a search, though, I can't find ANY! I guess I skipped copying them because I don't usually buy it.

Soooo, any ideas on how to use it?

Thanks!

Deb

I have a recipe for sticky wings that uses it.

Roughly - Mix soy sauce, honey and veggie oil with chinese 5 spice powder and fresh garlic. Pour over wings to marinade then bake.

I'm at work now - will edit my post with the actual recipe later.

Here's the recipe - sorry it took me so long to find it

Chinese Glazed Chicken Wings - makes 30 wings

3 lbs chicken wings
2/3 C soy sauce
1/2 C honey
2 Tbsp veggie oil
2 tsp 5 spice powder
2 cloves crushed garlic

Cut wings at joints to make 2 pieces per wing.
Mix all other ingredients together and pour over wings to marinate. Refridgerate & marinate for at least 1 hour.

Bake on foil line cookie sheet at 375 degrees for 30 minutes; Turn and baste with reserved marinade and cook another 30 minutes until done.

Enjoy!
