Hooray for flying! We are so spoiled to flying now. Getting there in less than two hours - not worn out, but ready to roll - is awesome!

So sweet that Dad took his big girl to a fancy restaurant. :lovestruc

Neat that your play was Beauty and the Beast. :thumbsup2 Lots of work, I know, but lots of fun and good experience and memories for all.

I know MeMom!! I am so excited about flying too!!! I didn't even think about not being tired from the drive...one MORE good thing about it!!! :woohoo:

They had such a great time together...they are so cute when they are together!!

THE SHOW WAS AMAZING!!!! I SO wish I could post pictures on here, but due to our licensing with Disney, I can't. Our costumes were so good that you would have though Lumiere and Cogsworth were picked right out of the movie! Now, on to next year--Mulan Jr.!

THANK YOU for pointing out this incredibly true fact! This will be my selling point (along with the gas prices) to get my dad to want to fly for our next trip. He's flown a couple times before but it's been a long time! That was in lieu of a 22 hour drive....whereas Disney is about 10 or 11 hours for us. Apparently a full dawn to dusk is not "too long" for him to drive. To me, it's way too much time in the car!

I know that we will LOVE getting there quickly...I think we will miss our leisurely drive home when we spend the majority of it reminiscing already about the trip we just completed. Still looking forward to it!

It is!!! AND Spirit charges $2 for a beverage too!!! You don't even get a drink on them. Well, me, but still!!!

YIKES!!!! WHAT exactly are we paying for?!?!?!?

LOVE the pictures. She truly looks like a very happy princess. Adore the matching tie. So glad to hear they had a great time. Thanks for sharing.

WELCOME BACK SWEET LADY!! I KNOW you must have had a great time! Those two are so cute together, and YES, they adore each other completely! I can't believe our trips overlap...too exciting!

Okay, I have been putting this off...just hate going back down the horrible road from the last 10 months, but I know I owe everyone an explanation.

For those of you who have "known" me for a while, you know that last summer I was plagued with problematic "lady problems" and intense abdominal pain that was rendering me pretty much useless and immobile. I prayed unceasingly for it to go away for our trip last year--I did NOT see how in the world I would make it around the World with that kind of pain. My doctors put me through so many crazy medicinal trials I felt like a lab rat! I worried that my entire trip would be plagued with pain and never-ending trips to the bathroom.

Well, I think my prayers worked, because my entire 10 day trip last year was pain-free (mostly--except for pain I inflicted upon myself in our amazing AKL bathroom...but that story is for another day in another TR post! :rotfl:) SO, the entire trip I was graced with NO abdominal pain, NO "lady problems," and NO "monthly visitor" issues at all!!! I was SHOCKED!!! Giddy even!! :dance3:

But that luck abruptly ended on August 1st--our first day home from vacation. From August 1st through October, my world was rocked by so much intense pain that I couldn't sleep, I could barely eat because the pain made me nauseous, and I could not move without causing more incredible discomfort. They continued to send me to ultrasounds, tests, specialists, etc. They changed my medicines several more times, put me on strong painkillers, and encouraged me to rest as much as possible. All the while, not having a clear answer as to what it was that was causing all the problems. Since we didn't KNOW what was going on, I decided I wanted to head on with life as best I could--I kept teaching, kept running Megan to soccer, dance, etc., kept taking care of the house as best I could. I would try to rest as much as I could since every movement inflicted more and more surges in the agonizing pain. In the end, they discovered that my entire abdominal cavity--including my uterus and ovaries--is webbed together with a massive trail of adhesions, scar tissue, etc. from my emergency c-section 8 years ago. In a way, the diagnosis was a relief since I was pretty sure it was cancer. But, it also caused more concern because with the amount of adhesions, webbing, etc., to operate would be almost too risky. I would have to be put under for way too long, and with all the removal of the tissue, I was at WAY too much risk for losing too much blood. As badly as my OB wanted to do a hysterctomy, she was just too concerned with the risks...especially since I am only 35. At the end of October, she said she was down to her LAST medicinal treatment--a combination of two very expensive medicines. Luckily, our pharmaceutical coverage actually picks up MOST of the $1000/month bill---leaving us with only $30 to pay.

We were ALL skeptical that anything would work since nothing at all had at that point, but much to our amazement, THEY WORK!!!! Within one month, I was starting to feel better; and by the end of the year, I was finally feeling NORMAL!!! I no longer EVER have my "monthly visitor," and I only have slight abdominal pains every once and awhile. Right now, I will have to continue taking these medicines for quite some time...until they decide I have gone through menopause!

It is so amazing to finally feel normal again...there were days when I just didn't think I could go on much longer. There were days that I didn't think I would be here to see Megan grow up. Days I didn't think I would ever get to take her back to Mickey's House!! I am so GRATEFUL to finally have my health and "sanity" back, so grateful to be able to enjoy the simple joys of everyday life again, and so grateful to know that I do indeed get to once again see the joy on my girl's face at her favorite place! AND, I am ever so grateful that I FINALLY have time again to be back on here to chat and share with all of you! OH HOW I MISSED YOU!!!

Thank you to everyone who sent prayers and get-well wishes...you will never know how much that love and support means to me!

WOW, that sounds awful. I am so glad that they found a medicine to help you and you are mostly pain free. I can't even imagine how scary that must have been

I'm so glad that they found something to take care of your problem! What a relief that had to have been for you and Tom!
It's so good to have you back, Jen, we missed you!
