Bec & Chris - Wishes Wedding 03/01/11 WP/WHR/SCP - Some extra pics and **COMPLETE**

Yay! I got the tickets! The festival isn't until January, but the first date sold out within 5 minutes, and I'm talking thousands of tickets :scared1:

So this time I made sure to check the website to see if any presales happened, and then when 12 midnight rolled around I managed to get them!

They're a Christmas gift for DF, he doesn't know about it, well he may have ideas, but he doesn't officially know.

I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun. So far on the line up is:

Muse
Powderfinger
Lily Allen
Eskimo Joe
Groove Armada
Grinspoon
The Mars Volta
Ladyhawke
Dizzee Rascal
Karnivool
Peaches
The Temper Trap
Kasabian
Midnight Juggernauts
Rise Against
Magic Dirt
Mastodon
Lisa Mitchell
The Horrors
Bluejuice
Calvin Harris
Kisschasy
The Decemberists
Tame Impala
Girl Talk

But there will probably be further bands added as it gets closer! :woohoo:

thats great that he doesnt know about it! It will be hard keeping it a secret!

I know! I bought him some other Christmas Pressies over the weekend, and I think he's already seen them!! :sad2: But hopefully this one wont be too hard.

Lily and Decemberists! :lovestruc i'm green with envy:thumbsup2

Lilly is one of the main people I'm looking forward to seeing! There are very few on the list that I'm not excited about though!

Oooh I am so jealous! Looks like a wonderful festival.

All I have are tickets for Avenue Q and Beauty and the Beast musicals. :lmao:

I need to start thinking about a gift for DH for christmas, but he is so difficult to shop for!:headache:

I think I'd like to go see Avenue Q. I don't like the fact that you can see the pupeteers and that they don't hide the fact that they're who are controling the pupets, but I've heard it's supposed to be really funny.

Ok, so here's some things that I wouldn't call updates... But I thought I'd put them in...

We started considering changing from the Whitehall room to the Napa room, I've been reading through the Napa vs White hall thread, and the view is just awesome, so I got a copy of the menus from Joe and we had a look through them. I didn't like them, but I gave them to DF to look through, as he is technically in charge of the food and drinks... He didn't mind the menus, but when it came down to it, he prefered to be able to pick everything on the menu and have a different location then to have a set menu and have that location...

That started us looking at all available reception spaces - outside the parks - I like ariels, but I don't like the fish on the ceiling, and I don't mind the Atlantic Dance hall, but there's something about it that makes me think "Town Hall" I think it's the stage... So we'll probably stick to a small ballroom like thing...

So we're back to the whitehall room. I think it's prettier inside anyway.

Our AU$ is pretty good at the moment, so we're thinking about booking Misty. Maybe paying a lump sum above the deposit just to get it out of the way.

I've also made a "To Do" list which I'll post in the next post, it's pretty long... So you'll all need to go through it and tell me what I've missed...

I'll be adding in things like Dress fitting and the like once I pick my dress, but because I haven't yet I don't know at what stage I'll need to book these in for...

Napa Room is beautiful and the food is really good at Cali Grill, but if you have some picky eaters in your group they may not like it. You can also see the Castle from Whitehall Patio.

I know what you mean, I like Ariel's except for those fish chandeliers. I did like Atlantic Dance Hall but DF didn't, so that was out. I personally love the Whitehall room and wish we could have used it but we have too many people. We're going to have our pre-reception there though.

I sooo wanted the Napa room, alas it is too small a venue, if we had less people I would book it in an instant, I love the Cali Grill!
I do have a lot of picky eaters on my in-law side, so that could be a problem there, but man what a view.

Still White Hall was beautiful and if you see my PJ the monorail passes right over the patio which I think is pretty cool AND you can see the castle's top too.

OMG see Avenue Q!!! Me and DF have seen it twice now (I have seen it 3x) and LOVE it. so funny. you won't stop laughing

Can't wait to see dress fitting pics! yay

I know right? I only have the soundtrack, got hooked after watching a clip on youtube, so I bought the whole album, I listen to it at random and it cracks me up. Great stuff, can't wait to actually see it on stage!

I can't wait for dress fitting pics either!!

Love the to do list....your so organized!

I really like both rooms, but I think I would personally choose the Napa room. It just looks different from the average room. But, I do like the fact the Whitehall has a patio :confused3 Too many good options at disney!

:rotfl: Just coz I've written the to do list doesn't mean I've done anything! Actually it was Df's idea, b/c he has no idea what's involved in planning a wedding, and I don't really either, so I scouted around all of the wedding to do lists, and used DFTW's timeline and came up with that... Now I've got to work on ticking things off... Maybe I'll give DF a page and tell him to take care of it...

I really like the Napa room too, but I really wanted to be able to say "first I want us to eat this, and then that followed by some of this..." I don't want someone to be saying to me "Ok, first you'll have this and then that and then we'll bring you some of this" That's what happens when you go to someone elses wedding, I shouldn't have to do it at mine. :sad2: I'm a picky eater, and while I'm sure I could find a meal that I'd be more then happy with at the Cali grill, I don't like any of the menu's right through.

Love your to do list!! I wish I was that organized.

I love Cali Grill but my group didn't when we went last time. They had a hard time finding something to eat :) I guess WHP is safer :)

I feel like I'm all dressed up and no where to go :lmao:

Well that's not true, I'm at work until lunch time today, then I'm going to the races. It's Melbourne Cup day here, which is a horse race that "stops the nation" it's pretty true, come 3pm no work is done and everyone tunes in to watch a horse race.

So I'm all dressed up at work, wasting time until it's time to go... It's also my mum's birthday, so we're taking her to a nice lunch first, then onto the gambling!!

It should be a really nice day, and I'll post pics if I take any...

Bah! :headache: I wanted to book Misty yesterday and DF has asked me not to, because he doesn't know enough about it... :confused3

I'm really confused... and slightly annoyed... because I've been going through everything with him for months, and I must have been talking to a brick wall!! Now when I've told him I need his signature, his ears have perked up and he's not so sure :rotfl:

I asked him about a year ago, when we first got engaged, what the most important thing about the wedding was for him, he said food, and I told him mine was photography, so we agreed that we wouldn't skimp on either of them at all, both would be exactly what we want and no compromising... He's not too concerned about booking Misty, he understands I want her as my photographer and that's it, but what he doesn't understand is that what we would be paying for them is really quite reasonable, and he believes that paying for her, would mean that we couldn't afford a MK shoot, even though I've gone through the budget, and yes we could, we could with no problems... :sad2:

I think he's just getting worried about booking anything, because he hasn't been paying enough attention to know what's going on, and what is included in wedding planning, so last night I dumped a heap of wedding magazines and planners on his lap and said "If you don't want to take my word for it, then read that!" and stormed off... I was a little angry because I've done budgets for us for years, for when we first moved in together, for when we bought our house, for both times we've been on international holidays, and every time I've dnoe them, he's just taken my word for it, but for some reason he just cant come to terms with the fact that I know we can afford this...

He has a motorbike in our garage worth the same as our wedding is going to cost, and he's worried that what I'm planning might be a bit extravagent for heavens sake!!! He doesn't even ride it!!!

Ok, rant over, I just don't get what's stopping him from making these decisions, when really in the scheme of things they're quite small decisions to make! :confused3

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled program... :lmao:

Sounds normal, don't panic!
He is suffering from groomanitis. 3 on every 5 men contract this debilitating disease, it is the opposite of the Bridezilla virus that infects 4 out of 7 brides (2 out of 3 on the actual wedding date)*

*All diagnosis and statistics are made up. Please don't consult a doctor they will think you are nuts. :thumbsup2

Lol men...sometimes they just snap out of things and want to know whats going on. Df woke me at 4 this morning to ask who switches our songs during the processional.:lmao: Sometimes we think they are listening....and obviously we are very wrong!

Men have SELECTIVE hearing .... :lmao: they only listen to what they want to hear!
